We booked this hotel as it was one of few offering multiple beds in one room. The pictures were not great but it turned out to be much better in reality. Check in was so smooth and easy with a big smile and very helpful staff. The location is a bit far away from the lake side but we weee driving and so this was not a major issue. They offer free parking which is even better. Outside the hotel is a little church that is absolutely beautiful. The whole setting and surrounding was amazing. Breakfast was also very good with hams, cheeses , fruits, cereal, , eggs , fruit juice , bread and tea/coffee all as part of the buffet.

Very nice hotel in walking distance to the lake, parks and Strandbad. We had the junior suite and the room and bathroom were very spacious . The only thing I would suggest is to put a shelf or something similar in the bathroom, there is no space to put toiletries. Breakfast was delicious with different types of bread, cheese, jams and fresh fruits , yogurt and cereals, coffee and tea.

I think looking at other reviews that this hotel has had a refit. The communal areas are decked out in modern quality fittings & so are the bedrooms. We had no noise issues what so ever & as a designer myself I can honestly say I was impressed! The only thing I would say is that the wash bowl in the bedroom seemed a bit odd but we had in another Swiss hotel as well so maybe it’s a Swiss thing? Our room overlooked the river & wooden bridge & the breakfast offering was excellent. This room had the best shower of our entire 7 hotel trip!

Accueil super, personnel au petit soin. L'hôtel et vraiment situer dans le centre de Thun sur une magnifique place proche de toute commodités. Le parking et aussi à 100m, c'est super pour les gens de passage comme nous. Malheureusement le froid a eu raison de nous et nous a cloué au lit . Cela nous fait une excuse pour revenir chez vous bientôt. Merci pour tout.

Great location with 5 minutes walk to the railway station. The hotel provided the shuttle service so it’s very easy to get there. The most surprising thing is the hotel is actually in a famous castle. The vibe was so great! The room was big enough in Europe. There aren’t that many rooms and guests so it’s very quiet as well. The staff here also very friendly always have a smile on their faces. Last thing is try the spa if you need a relaxing time after day off, it’s very private and comfortable. That’s all, I would choose here again if one day I visit Thun again. Thank you!
