The room was lovely and clean although we kept getting locked out because of our key and when we had to go to reception to fix it there was rarely anyone there, so we had to wait for quite a long time. The food was okay, but there was a hair on the pancakes and there wasn’t lots of selection, the coaster was bad quality and barely worked, so I don’t think I’d get the breakfast again. The view was BEAUTIFUL ( attached pictures are of the view) and the staff were very friendly. Everything was in walking distance from the hotel. PARKING WAS TERRIBLE BE WARNED! We naturally assumed that parking was next to the hotel but it turns out it was for Aldi customers only (Aldi is under the hotel) , so we will be expecting a fine in the post soon. Instead we had to go to a small car park where there were no spaces, so we then had to park at Asda and pay £11 for overnight parking online which was a hassle in its self. I would stay again if it’s just for a night it’s well priced but for £70 a night the room was worth it. Parking is a big issue though.

Reviewing for the restaurant, I haven't stayed at the hotel but if it is anything like their food and service, then top drawer. Visited around a dozen times for their very unique Sunday roasts. Massive platter filled with your choice of roast meat and a massive helping of vegetables, roast spuds etc. Way too much for two sharing, really! If you are wanting a desert then good luck, I'm stuffed!

We stayed in a holiday home just down road from here there was 6 off us and ever time we went in it was no trouble and they were very friendly and the food was amazing and very large portions as well and there was and old Wurlitzer in corner with log fire it was just amazing

Just returned from The Barrowfield. Really enjoyed my stay. Ryan & his team are all so friendly & work hard to make sure their guests have everything they need. They really want to make the hotel a success. Room was spacious, I booked a single but got a double which was a bonus. Comfy bed & large walk-in shower. No sea views in this hotel. Food was really good especially the last night's roast beef dinner. Lots of choice & well cooked. Service was pretty quick considering the hotel was busy. Entertainment was ok especially Mike Williams; non-stop singing all night. Loved the quizzes & for those who go for bingo, two sessions. Great extra about this hotel is the pool, it's small but lovely & clean. Only one changing area so go down in your cossie, it's easier. Open 7am-7pm. You have to ask at reception to be let in. Special mention to Keiran (night porter) who was so helpful & friendly. Last person I saw at midnight (cos of having to come down to get WiFi) & first person at 7am to let me in the pool. Thank you Keiran :) Location is great, a few mins from green area above the beach for walking & views, only ten mins walk into town & bus stop across the road to go to places like Truro etc. Newquay is a lovely area with loads of coastal walking with spectacular views & beaches. Fistral Beach is particularly stunning. Three reasons I have only given four stars: No WiFi in rooms; come on Daish's, not everyone has smart phones with data. Get some boosters in your hotels. Needs a clock in the pool area. Trip to St Ives did not include the cider farm so too much time in St Ives. Overall, a great holiday & I would definitely return especially if the WiFi was improved.

Staff made you feel welcome from start. Used the pre paid parking on site, well worth it. The room was lovely and had views front and to the rear to see the sea and beach. The outside terrace beer garden was excellent. The breakfast was good. Full range of continental and cooked items i.e full English or pancakes etc. Good range of beers etc.

I really enjoyed my stay at the OYO Newquay Beach Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I was happy to have been upgraded from a single to a double bed accommodation due to high occupancy. The location is good as it's near the railway station (approx 5 mins) and 2 mins from the sea. I enjoyed the food at the elegant restaurant and found it a friendly service.
