To my surprise, it exceeded all my expectations! Hygiene, environment, service, and facilities all scored a perfect 5, making it the highlight of my trip. 【About the Room and View】 As described during booking, I stayed in a room with club lounge access. The moment I opened the door, I was truly amazed – a huge floor-to-ceiling window directly overlooked Sakurajima volcano! Whether it was watching the volcano faintly appear through the morning mist or admiring the city lights come alive in the evening, this view was absolutely breathtaking. The room's interior design was modern and simple with excellent natural light. When getting in the room, there is a musty smell that might be from the carpet but after turn on the purifier and run for hours the smell is gone. The hotel bed is comfortable, although the room is small but the toilet size is big enough. The location is also convenient as it is in front of the train and bus station, the airport bus just drop off besides the hotel. When depart back to the airport, you just need to go down to level 1 for the bus ticket and bus. There is also a lawson downstairs, and there are a few restaurant on the lg floor which is not part of the hotel. The hotel even have adapter when to borrow as I forget mine. I forgot to put up the “do not disturb” sign on the door, house keeping come in to clean and tidy the bed, change the towel but very thoughtful as they did not move any of my stuff that are on the table as I might feel very uncomfortable if stuff is moved. The tv is working quite well, youtube all are working fine. Amenities are sufficient too, the toothbrush is so nice and I like the scrubbing towel they offer. There is also free umbrella provided that must return after use. The hotel even have a nice view on the reception floor which you can see the volcano from there.

The room with Sakurajima view was really nice and spacious. Blue skies and white clouds on check-in day instantly lifted my spirits. The breakfast selection was extensive, and there's a shuttle bus to and from Kagoshima-Chuo Station – just be mindful of the last bus schedule. There's a yakiniku restaurant right opposite the hotel with great value for money!

Definitely room with a view - Sakurajima Volcano Room big enough for 4 people, good amenities. Breakfast good with variety. Staff was proactive and welcoming at reception and at restaurant. Parking chargeable at JPY1000 per day, able to enter and exit throughout the day. Near to Sakurajima Ferry Terminal, 15mins ferry ride to Sakurajima Island. Car less than 5m JPY2300, adult JPY250, child JPY150. Half a day sufficient to explore island, best to go in the morning!

This is one of the most luxurious hotels I've ever stayed in! The facilities are excellent, and my trip to Kagoshima was made even better by booking the Shiroyama Hotel. Everything went smoothly from check-in, and the 4th-floor observation deck offers the best view of Sakurajima in all of Kagoshima.

What I liked -Great location with easy access to nearby shopping malls. -The bathroom has a big bathtub, which was perfect for soaking and relaxing after a long day. -Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. What could be better -The room is quite compact, especially the leg room around the bed. It feels a little cramped. -Parking can be frustrating. Although there's a car park next to the building, it's often difficult to find an available space.

It's very clean, and the bedding and toiletries are brand new. On the first floor, the lobby offers a variety of DHC cleansers, toners, and makeup removers, so if you're not too picky, you don't even need to bring any toiletries. It's right next to the Tenmonkan shopping district, which is very convenient, and the 'Woa Ren' restaurant there is delicious. I'll definitely go back again; I really enjoyed the food in Kagoshima, and if I return, I'll stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is excellent, with great service and comfortable, well-designed rooms. It's affordable and in a good location, with plenty of dining options nearby. Although the hotel is small, it has everything you need. It's a bit of a walk to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, but you can take the tram. Plus, there are lots of great places to eat right around the hotel.

pretty good place to stay as it's pretty close to the tram and it's located in the centre of town. there was only one elevator for this specific branch so it could get a bit annoying. there's also no coin laundry service but there's one located just right beside but it's pretty costly.

Highly recommended hotel! The front desk staff are all super enthusiastic, and I even met a lovely Chinese girl working there. The breakfast is really rich and delicious, and the late-night ramen (Yeming Noodle) was also very tasty – the lady serving it was really busy! The hot spring on the 14th floor, though not large, is very clean. I stayed in a single room, and there's an extra door between the room and the main corridor, which made it very quiet. The airport bus stop is very close to the hotel, just two traffic lights away. Kagoshima is a beautiful place, and everyone I met was so kind and helpful. It’s also been a sister city with Changsha for over 30 years.

The facilities are complete, and the front desk is on the third floor. The location is great, very close to the Planetarium business district. There's a large Don Quijote right across the street from the hotel. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the station, so not too far. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Coming from Fukuoka to Kagoshima, I felt the rooms here were quite affordable! 😂

Richmond hotel was located opposite a big department store, with easy access to bus and trams. A combini is just opposite the hotel. They have a wider range of personal amenities to pick at the lobby. They have 3 machines to handle checkout, exchange currency (e.g. 1000¥ to 100¥ coins for laundry machines on 6th floor, or break 10,000¥ to smaller notes). The machines also accept your hotel parking charges. When it was raining, hotel provided full size umbrellas for use, without deposit or giving room numbers, which is very convenient. It has a car park with limited lots, so if you can secure one ,it will be very easy to unload and load your bags. Costs 2400¥ for 2 nights of parking. Main place for food is closer to Tenmonkan area, which is walkable.

Very strategic location in the middle of Tenmonkan, and in walking distance to Kagoshima chuo station. The hotel provided great service with diverse and personalized amenities - bath salt, toiletries, etc. Every day at 8 -8.30 pm, the hotel provides simple rice with curry for all guests.

The room and the bed were a bit small for us, but the in room bathtub at the terrace was a plus and a rare find at this price. However, there was constantly some smell in the bathroom (probably due to the shower curtain being always damp) and you could see dust visibly accumulated and stains on the wall next to the bed.

Waktu Terbaik Bercuti di Sakurajima

Waktu terbaik untuk bercuti di Sakurajima ialah pada musim bunga dari Mac hingga Mei dan musim luruh dari September hingga November apabila cuaca lebih nyaman untuk menerokai kawasan luar dan menikmati pemandangan. Musim panas dari Jun hingga Ogos juga sesuai, tetapi cuacanya lebih panas dan lembap, manakala musim sejuk dari Disember hingga Februari biasanya lebih sejuk. Pelancong Malaysia yang ingin menikmati pemandangan gunung berapi dengan lebih selesa disarankan merancang lawatan pada waktu pagi atau lewat petang.
