We arrived at the hotel later and the driver couldn't find the door and helped us find it, but after a while, a staff member ran down and asked if we had booked a room, really running! ! Then the driver parked the car, then helped us pick up our luggage, and ran up again! ! ! The service was so good that our whole family was stunned! ! Entering the hotel, the air conditioning is very good, because the outside is -10 degrees, but the interior is very warm, and not baked, so very comfortable, the room is not big, but with all the traditional Japanese room things, the furnishings are very beautiful, However, if the luggage is larger and more, it becomes very crowded, but actually feels like home. Because one night two meals, so there is a full dinner breakfast, are exquisite kaiseki cuisine, each meal also have staff to the room in advance to lead us to the restaurant, their own room, no one disturbed. The hot spring area has indoor and outdoor, not big, but enough, we soaked twice and did not bump into anyone, chartered, great! ! After check out, the staff bowed to not see our car! ! I love the ocean and yachts, so I booked an ocean view double room. The harbor view directly in front of the hotel is absolutely stunning. The breakfast buffet area also overlooks the harbor. The facilities might be a bit older, but the room was spacious and very clean. The shower isn't thermostatic, so temperature adjustment can be a little tricky. The quiet location and the evening bar experience all made for memorable moments. Many thanks to all the hotel staff.

An absolutely worthwhile night! The private onsen was high quality and the hotel offered great privacy. Both meals we had were delicious, and the service was excellent. The scenery was breathtaking. It was one of those places you never want to check out of. They even offered complimentary snacks upon departure, and the bar had a wide selection of food in the evening. Strolling in the snow after dinner was also beautiful.

This is a comfortable boutique hotel in Otaru. The room is cozy with the barrel the most interesting feature that doubles up as a table and a fridge. The buckwheat pillow is comfortable for a good night rest. What impressed me the most is the breakfast. There is a wide array of food including seafood and fresh milk. Onsen is comfortable too. Overall I will strongly recommend this hotel in Otaru as it’s still new and tip top service and amenities.

This hotel is impressive, with great location (just opposite JR otaru station) and awesome onsen. The onsen is amazing. Indoor, there's a sauna, 2 hot pools and 1 cold pool. There are 2 additional hot pools outdoor. If you have a tattoo, you can ask the reception for tattoo stickers. The view is also beautiful. Will stay in this hotel again if i ever come back to otaru.

Loved our stay in the Maisonnette Double Room! The loft design was a fun touch and gave us plenty of space to relax. The hotel feels very new, clean, and stylish. It’s centrally located, making it super easy to walk to the Otaru Canal and nearby eateries. Don't miss the rooftop public bath and sauna—the outdoor bath has an incredible view! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Otaru.

It's an easy downhill walk from the train station if you have luggage. The reverse is quite strenuous. A taxi ride is just the minimum fare (700). Service: The breakfast is plentiful and seafood-friendly.

Location is excellent, right amongst the main shopping malls, seafood markets, restaurants and commercial streets. You can see the TV tower from some of the rooms and the rooftop barbecue site. The check-in process is however painfully slow. The staff forgot to give us water (supposedly one would receive one bottle per night per person at the reception). The room card we received was also not working... The room albeit clean and tidy was rather barebone and small. It's quite rare nowadays to have a hotel of this pricing not to offer a TV. The breakfast was also very simple. 4 types of crepes. And some very limited choices of food items. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for a quick resting spot with easy access to main visiting spots and having no high requirements for hotel amenities.

Room size was just nice, and bed were comfortable 4. Free coffee and biscuits provided from 7am-6pm. 5. For the breakfast you can choose between Japanese or Western breakfast. 6. No self service laundry facility on-site. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Otaru is definitely worth a one-night stay. There are three shopping streets, not just the single few-hundred-meter canal often mentioned in travel guides. The Sankaku Seafood Market to the left of the station looks much more appetizing than many other places. Heavy snowfall actually makes it less ideal for exploring all of Otaru. The hotel offers a candlelight performance at night, which sets a romantic mood. Paying an extra 200 for that isn't unreasonable. Hotel downside: The room has a lot of motion-sensor lights. If you get up half-asleep at night, they suddenly all switch on, making it as bright as day. You can't turn them off; you just have to wait for them to go out on their own.

Bathroom facilities on trip.com description there's towel so I thought like the usual 1 free but on the site, the staff said no free towel at all and need to pay 200 yen. You should update Bathroom facilities (scratch the towel amenity) Other than that, it is very great hostel, biggest shared bathroom I ever see (all 3 toilet, wastafel and shower room in one) And very good facilities, though it's a bit inconvenience if you have room at 2nd floor (elevator will stop at 3rd floor if going up, so you will go to 3nd then 2nd)

Facilities: The hotel is quite old, and while the facilities are in good condition, they aren't exactly modern. Surprisingly, there's a vintage audio system that plays music with a great ambiance from a bygone era. The sound quality also has that classic feel, which I loved. It's definitely worth experiencing this unique charm that other hotels don't offer. Service: Standard hotel service, but they upgraded my room without me even asking, which was a nice touch! Transportation: Even though the hotel is on a mountaintop, they offer a shuttle service to the nearest JR station, which is a huge plus. The Otaru Aquarium is just a few steps away, and the dolphin show is fantastic, plus the penguins are adorable. Scenery: This hotel probably boasts the most unique coastal cliff views in Otaru. It's truly postcard-worthy, and the best part is being able to enjoy it while soaking in the hot spring during the day. The scenery is beautiful and enjoyable. At night, however, you can't see anything. Hygiene: Standard hotel cleanliness. Food: I only stayed overnight and didn't try the food.
