The hotel is located within a large complex. There are many restaurants just a street away, and it's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the Collection mall, or you can use the scheduled shuttle service. The hotel isn't directly on the beach, but they offer regular shuttle rides to and from the seaside. Most of the hotel staff are very friendly, with the exception of a few at the beach. Every time I tried to buy a coconut at the beach, the staff would say they were sold out. And when I tried to order other drinks, they seemed quite annoyed. The room itself was spacious and very clean. They provide four complimentary bottles of water daily, and you can request four more. Any additional bottles after that come with a charge. During breakfast, you can see many small squirrels being fed from little wooden bowls hung on the trees in the restaurant.

This is a premium hotel far outside of Ubud center. Be aware you are about 30 minutes from Ubud if you stay here and there really isn't much to do in the immediate area besides stare at the jungle. Staff was outstanding here with frequent greetings by name and remembering you like a Ritz Carlton. Because I enjoy regular outings I actually found the location quite inconvenient as an hour a day would have to be devoted just to getting to and from Ubud. The room I got was enormous and included a dining room, sitting room, bedroom, large bathroom. The in room amenities were great including a free restocking mini bar with snacks (no alcohol) and a large smart TV. The bed was huge, soft, and comfortable. The bathtub was a downside as it was quite small by western standards (not as small as a japanese tub though). I'm not a very big individual at 173cm and I felt it was too narrow and not long enough. Perhaps suitable for petite individuals only. Be aware of that if like me and many Americans you prefer baths over showers. The property is very large and you will likely want to regularly use the phone to request the on site golf cart shuttles to get around it as otherwise you will spend much of your time walking uphill from the rooms to the amenities near the entrance like the restaurant and pool.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is huge, with plenty of restaurants to choose from and a wide variety of activities, so there was always something to do. The facilities are well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing. As IHG One Rewards Ambassador members, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a Suite, which made our stay even more comfortable. The extra space and amenities were much appreciated. The breakfast buffet offered an impressive variety of choices, catering to different tastes. There was also a good selection of Indian dishes alongside the international offerings, making breakfast enjoyable every morning. The Club Lounge was another nice perk, offering afternoon tea and evening cocktails. While the lounge itself was comfortable and the service was good, we found the food selection to be fairly average. It was enjoyable for a light snack and drinks, but not particularly memorable. The beach is absolutely stunning, with soft sand and crystal-clear water. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was unexpectedly coming across a sea turtle nest. We were fortunate enough to witness the turtle hatchlings making their incredible journey to the ocean. It was a truly special and unforgettable experience that made our trip even more meaningful. Overall, this hotel offers a great combination of excellent facilities, beautiful surroundings, and unique experiences. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway.

My stay at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu started with a hiccup, it ended on such a wonderful note that I would happily return. Due to a system error, I was given the wrong room type upon check-in, and unfortunately there were no vacant rooms available that day. However, the hotel team handled the situation professionally. The very next day, they upgraded me to their best room category as part of their service recovery, which I truly appreciated. What made the experience even more memorable was the genuine hospitality. The staff noticed it was my birthday and surprised me during breakfast by singing a birthday song. I was touched, although a little awkward too 😅. A special mention to Manager Aldi, who consistently checked in on me whenever we crossed paths around the hotel to make sure everything was going well. That personal touch made a big difference. The hotel itself is beautiful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The sunset views are stunning, the ambience is peaceful, and the spacious grounds make it a great place to unwind. My room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast team was efficient and attentive, and the overall service throughout the stay was excellent. Thank you to the Renaissance Uluwatu team for turning an initial disappointment into such a memorable experience. Your sincere service recovery and warm hospitality truly stood out. I'll definitely be back!

An absolutely incredible stay at Alaya Resort Ubud! The resort perfectly balances authentic Balinese charm with modern luxury. Even though it is located right in the heart of bustling Ubud, the hotel environment feels like a completely private, tranquil sanctuary. The views from the property are stunning—waking up to the lush greenery and the peaceful rice terraces is exactly the kind of tropical escape you hope for in Bali. I stayed in an Alaya Room, which was beautifully designed, spacious, and impeccably clean. What truly set this stay apart, however, was the staff. Every single team member went above and beyond to ensure the trip was perfect. They were genuinely warm, highly attentive, and showcased the absolute best of Balinese hospitality. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a serene getaway!

I had a wonderful stay here. The location is excellent — close to the airport, the beach, and shopping centers. The service was top-notch. That said, the breakfast buffet wasn't for me; I didn't find much on offer that suited my taste. I also stayed two nights and ran into a bit of a crowd late at night on the ground floor — other guests were having a party, drinking and shouting. Overall, it's a good pick.

I stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The spacious room, large bed, and comfortable balcony overlooking the fields made every day enjoyable. I'm truly grateful to all the hotel staff for their kind and friendly service at all times. They were incredibly prompt in handling issues like the faulty security box and running out of toilet paper, which I really appreciated. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering not just Indonesian dishes but also bread, desserts, and fruits. I especially loved the terrace seating where I could enjoy the morning breeze and sunshine. The hotel's location is excellent, close to a big beach club and the beach, with convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance, and Grab taxis arriving quickly. This was a truly wonderful trip, and I'd love to stay here again.

Be aware of mosquitoes and geckos: it's inevitable in a rainforest villa, and you might occasionally find small lizards indoors, so definitely come prepared with mosquito repellent.

• Location: Close to the airport and the ocean. Easy access to shops, currency exchange booths, cafes, street food vendors, and massage parlors. • Room: Spacious with all the essentials: a safe, slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shower gel, and shampoo. The view was of a soccer field and local houses, but it was noisy at night even with the windows closed; we could hear motorbikes racing on the road. The lack of a balcony wasn't an issue; we dried our clothes in the room. At one point, the air conditioning stopped working, but we reported it to reception, and they fixed it quickly. The shower drained poorly, likely due to a lack of slope towards the drain. • Breakfast: Varied, with sliced cheese and cold cuts, a vegetable and salad station, an omelet station, several types of fruit, fried fish, chicken in various sauces, rice, pasta, a self-serve soup station, but the pastries were cold 😓. I didn't like that smoking was allowed at the tables. • Pool: Overlooking Jimbaran Bay. Absolutely beautiful. I wanted to explore every corner. The pool looked clean, and all the tiles were intact. There was a bar nearby where you could order drinks and food at reasonable prices. • Ocean: A straight 5-minute walk down a quiet street. The beach is being cleaned this year. The most beautiful sunsets are only here 😍. The hotel doesn't have its own sun loungers and umbrellas, but you can rent them on the beach without any problems. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money. The cost is affordable for such a great vacation.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Loved the daybeds, pools and the range of daily activities plenty of ways to just slow down and chill without leaving the resort. The à la carte lunch and dinner at the resort’s restaurants were great but the buffet breakfast was honestly quite meh. The rooftop bar on the 17th floor was another highlight. The staff there were exceptionally warm and friendly in fact, much friendlier than the gentleman who handled our check-in at reception which felt rather cold. A small housekeeping oddity: we noticed that the ropes we had worn were literally re-hung instead of being replaced with a fresh set, which was a little disappointing for a luxury resort. Overall, a gorgeous resort with great facilities, food and a relaxing atmosphere. Just expected a little more consistency in the service and breakfast experience for a property of this level.

Overall, everything was good. My kids loved the Kid's Club, and all the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Bali Collection provides a shuttle service through Holiday Inn, which was very convenient. The hotel is not located on the busiest street, but there are several restaurants within a few minutes' walk. There are also three mini marts just outside the hotel, which is very handy. The only downside was the kids' pool. It seems more suitable for children below 3 years old, as the area is quite small and the water slide is not very powerful. My friend's child and mine are both 8 years old, and they were unable to stand comfortably in the adult pool, which is 120 cm deep. That was a bit disappointing. However, I can honestly say that the service throughout our Bali trip was excellent. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Bali's hospitality was truly top-notch.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mövenpick and were very happy with our overall experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a stylish and thoughtful design throughout. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed as well. The service was excellent, and the staff were always friendly, responsive, and genuinely willing to help whenever we needed anything. The only downside was breakfast. At times, it felt like there were simply more guests than the restaurant and staff could comfortably accommodate, which made the experience a little hectic and the service less smooth than in the rest of the hotel. Apart from that, everything was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the hotel, the service, and the atmosphere.
