The river-view room I booked was directly facing Elephant Trunk Hill and the Li River, offering a great view. Especially comfortable was the dining experience at the rooftop restaurant with a view. A slight drawback was that breakfast was too crowded, with shortages of chopsticks and food trays. I suggest the rooftop restaurant offer a paid breakfast option, with a discount for hotel guests. This would solve the breakfast crowding and allow guests to enjoy the beautiful Guilin scenery in the morning. My only regret was that in the morning, after taking the elevator to the 16th floor, I found the door locked and couldn't access the viewing platform.

I stayed at the Sheraton for two nights. As a well-established five-star hotel, it certainly lives up to its reputation with excellent service. The doormen proactively helped with our luggage and opened car doors. The staff at the front desk, restaurants, and housekeeping were all very polite and warm—thumbs up for your great service! 👍🏻 The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, including local Guilin snacks. The young man at the rice noodle station was extremely enthusiastic, and the rice noodles were delicious. The hotel butler reached out in advance and proactively resolved any issues. We had a very pleasant two-night stay!

Staying at Jingxiang Hotel again after seven years was still a delightful surprise; the scenery hasn't lost any of its charm at all. The overall quality of the hotel is fantastic. The signature scent in the lobby and public areas is very pleasant, making for a wonderful check-in experience. Breakfast is served at the Alice Restaurant on the 7th floor, and its terrace view is simply unbeatable—overlooking the Li River and Elephant Trunk Hill, with the stunning landscape seemingly right within arm's reach. The hotel service is excellent. The front desk staff are extremely patient, answering all questions, big and small, with genuine care and helping to resolve any issues. The buffet breakfast offers a rich variety with plenty of options. During breakfast, I noticed a large number of foreign guests—outnumbering domestic travelers—giving the place a strong international vibe. The location is truly impeccable, making getting around very convenient. Elephant Trunk Hill Park is right on the doorstep, the Two Rivers and Four Lakes cruise pier is within walking distance, and all major downtown attractions are easily accessible. All in all, this remains the top choice for a downtown stay in Guilin, and I will definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Guilin.

We spent 4 wonderful nights here, and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff was the highlight of our whole trip. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and check in was warm and relaxed. They surprised us with an upgrade to a room with a private balcony overlooking the river, and someone walked us there personally. The room was spotless, and everything in the minibar was complimentary and restocked daily, a small touch that meant a lot. The pool is compact, but we always had it to ourselves, with a stunning view to match. Breakfast was delicious, and eating in the outdoor area made it even better. There is also a spa with very fair prices, which we sadly ran out of time to try. The location is a real plus. Guilin's lively night streets are about a 15 minute walk away, close enough to enjoy but far enough to sleep peacefully. Just across from the hotel, a small local restaurant sells cheap cold beer, perfect for drinking on the balcony. The building shows a little age, but the service and location more than make up for it. Easily 5 stars. At checkout, the team surprised us with a lovely tea box as a farewell gift, a perfect final example of their thoughtfulness. If we return to Guilin, SYYF is our first choice, and we'll look for this brand on future trips around China. Thank you for everything!

The overall room design is warm and minimalist, offering a spacious layout with a soothing wooden aesthetic. The bathroom features a large bathtub, and the big window lets in fantastic natural light. The public areas are full of atmosphere and great design, complete with quiet, elegant pebble pathways and comprehensive facilities including a pool, gym, and spa. The outdoor courtyard is cozy and highly photogenic, surrounded by osmanthus trees—sitting back and relaxing here is wonderful. The stay was both comfortable and stylish. There are plenty of attractions nearby, making it super convenient for sightseeing! The hotel also features an open viewing platform with breathtaking views.

A very nice hotel with an excellent location; the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and well air-conditioned. The included buffet breakfast offers a varied, high-quality, and delicious selection. The staff is polite and helpful; we were welcomed at reception by Anna, who spoke good English. She checked us into a room with a lovely view and explained everything we needed to know.

We stayed here during the October Golden Week holiday, booking a Deluxe Room on the 6th floor with a mountain view. The window offered a great view of the hotel lawn, pool, and distant mountains. The Deluxe Club Lounge provides light meals. Since we were traveling with seniors and children who can't eat spicy food, we actually had fewer opportunities to try local delicacies outside the hotel, which is typical for family trips. We stayed for five days, and every evening we had dinner at the Club Lounge. The restaurant changed 1-2 hot dishes daily, but most other items remained the same. They always had freshly made Guilin rice noodles. Food quantity and hygiene were definitely not issues. I enjoy drinking tea, and it was available from day to night, conveniently located on the same floor as our room. During the Golden Week, my child participated in a paid cookie-making activity. There were four children, and the session was well-organized, and the finished cookies were good. My child loved it. On October 5th, we had booked a day trip to Longji Terraces, and the tour guide informed us we needed to leave at 5:40 AM, which meant missing breakfast. We contacted the hotel in advance, and they offered to pack a simple breakfast for us to take on the road. It included a boiled egg, yogurt, an apple, four types of small bread, and a bottle of water – very good, clean, and hygienic. Besides the view, the hotel room also had good soundproofing. The shower head had strong water pressure, and I didn't notice any of the yellowing or damage mentioned in some reviews. However, the complimentary bottled water was a bit difficult to open, and there were no disposable toilet seat covers provided. The hotel gym has a free ping-pong room. My son and I visited it twice and really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant family trip.

The room was okay, and the housekeeper kept it relatively clean. To be honest, giving 5 stars wasn't my original intention, because this hotel was completely different from what I had imagined. Before booking, looking at the pictures, I thought the location was right next to the Sun and Moon Pagodas, as the hotel's promotional photos made it feel like it was inside a scenic area. Moreover, there was no view from the window, and none from the top floor either. It positions itself as a five-star hotel, but in reality, it's only up to standard for an ordinary three-star. The breakfast was very basic; honestly, it's the first time I've ever seen such a sparse breakfast at a five-star hotel. Because the public area is tiny, the breakfast setup area is also very small, and the selection is extremely limited. Also, right when you walk into the lobby, there is a distinct pet-store smell, like the scent of keeping small dogs. I only gave 5 stars because of the warm and enthusiastic service from the front desk and staff, and I felt a bit too embarrassed not to—since I already agreed to give 5 stars, I went ahead and left a 5-star rating. I hope the hotel will recalibrate its star rating standards. Relying solely on promotional photos of positive reviews to attract guests will only lead to disappointment.

Jiangjing Hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled by mountains and a clear, emerald Li River flowing gently past. We booked a room with a balcony, and waking up to the thin morning mist drifting over the nearby and distant mountains felt like being in a fairyland. Before arriving in Lingchuan, I did a little research and learned that the local market (Ganxu) is held on the 2nd, 5th, and 8th of each month, with the 2nd coinciding with a family member's birthday. We specifically wanted to experience the local hustle and bustle. From the hotel's main entrance, a 10-15 minute walk to the right leads to a promenade. At the end of the promenade, turning left takes you to the market, and turning right leads to the ancient town – the directions were very clear. The market was incredibly lively; we bought local mulberries, osmanthus rice wine, and even Ash Alkaline Rice Dumplings, which are popular in Guangdong and Guangxi. We visited the ancient town in the afternoon. Originally built during the Northern Song Dynasty, the most prominent remaining relic is the Longevity Bridge from the Ming Dynasty (Wanli era). The Republican period was likely the ancient town's most glorious commercial era, and I truly hope the modern buildings can be restored and maintained. The mountains, the water, and the people. After admiring the scenery, let's talk about the staff at Jiangjing. Team members 12 and 27 were particularly attentive. One sent us navigation details before we even arrived and helped us upgrade our stay. The other's massage technique was exceptionally professional; it greatly relieved the shoulder and neck fatigue from a long drive, even though the process was quite 'intense.' I highly recommend dining at the hotel; not only is the ambiance pleasant, but the food is also delicious, and most importantly, the oil and rice are safe. The kitchen even prepared a longevity noodle dish for us upon learning it was a family member's birthday. Lastly, I must mention Mr. Tu, an elderly hero who participated in the Sino-Vietnamese War. At over 70, he's still hale and hearty, wearing a military cap, and his eyes are sharp as an eagle's. I wish everyone the good fortune to meet this elder, hear his stories of fierce battles, and appreciate the beautiful life we have today 🙏

I brought my family to Guilin this time and chose the Dragon's Den Puyu Hotel's [Elephant Trunk Hill View Two-Bedroom Triple Room]. The hotel is directly opposite Gate 1 of Elephant Trunk Hill Park. It's just a three-minute walk across the street to the scenic area entrance. Our room's window faced Elephant Trunk Hill directly; pulling back the curtains revealed Guilin's iconic landscape painting. The room had everything – a fridge, mini-bar, and a bathroom with a separate wet and dry area, which made for a really comfortable stay!

Upon arrival, I found that a section of the hotel was under renovation. There were a lot of construction materials near the elevator entrance and plenty of dust from the renovation on the floor. My family even joked that after all my careful searching, I ended up picking a hotel undergoing renovations! There was a slight formaldehyde smell inside the elevator on my floor, but it became very faint once we entered the room, almost unnoticeable unless you specifically tried to smell it. The room had no windows and felt a bit stuffy, which I knew before booking. There was a faint musty smell in the room, and I'm not sure if it was related to the lack of ventilation. However, the room itself was relatively clean. Overall, I really didn't expect the renovation... I was a bit taken aback during check-in 😮. I hope things improve once the renovations are complete.

Ha, the advantage of Lefeng is the fine decoration and 20+ square meters. It seems not as stable and practical as other cheaper brands. 1. There is a pull rod outside the bathroom door but not inside. In fact, it can be pushed open in both directions. 2. The faucet design is difficult to understand and control, and the wash basin is very small and splashes water. 3. The toilet paper holder is crooked and the paper fell to the ground. 4. There is no shelf in the shower. The toiletries are placed on the old crooked big bottle, which also fell to the ground. 5. The shower adjus**ent knob seems convenient but is actually difficult to understand. It is inevitable to be showered with a lot of cold water first. The top shower leaks and has a rotten hole. 6. The disposable slippers are small and dirty, and should be cancelled. Repair the bathroom quickly!

This hotel is super conveniently located near the Wanda commercial area. The room was fantastic, quite spacious, clean, and the bedding was really comfortable.
