First time visit to Singapore. Lovely hotel. Great location, bonus of an outdoor pool that we used early one morning. Rooms very clean, beds super comfy. Immaculately clean. All staff super friendly and helpful with recommendations and directions. Concierge’s always available to sort taxis and help too. Didn’t book breakfast as do many food options close by. Nice touch was at check in they brought out birthday muffins, not just for me but for my two teenagers too. Great introduction.What’s not to love? Will be back.
We had a wonderful stay at Marina Bay Sands! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the service was excellent.

This is an honest review of Carlton Hotel Singapore, where my mother and I stayed in the second week of August!
I'll summarize what I felt during my stay.
Floor: I requested a high floor when booking, but unfortunately, it wasn't accommodated, and we were assigned the 8th floor. However, the room condition was pleasant, so we didn't experience much inconvenience during our stay.
Bed Type: The room type was an Executive Room. We requested twin beds so my mom and I could sleep comfortably, and they provided a room with two beds, which was perfect. The bedding was fresh, and the mattress was soft, so we slept soundly every night.
Deposit & Cancellation Period: A deposit of $200 (SGD) is authorized upon check-in. Even if you use paid services, they are not deducted from the deposit; you pay for them separately upon check-out. It's been about 3 days since we checked out, and the deposit cancellation hasn't been processed yet, likely because it's an overseas authorization. It usually takes a few days to 1-2 weeks depending on the card company, so it's best to wait patiently.
Bathroom & Amenities: Toothpaste and toothbrushes were provided, and shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were well-stocked, which we used comfortably throughout our stay. A hairdryer was also available.
Cleaning & Refill: If you press the 'Please Clean Up' switch in the room, they will clean the room and replenish water, towels, toothpaste, and toothbrushes generously every time.
Tip for Bedding Change: If you want to have the bed sheets completely changed, make sure to place the green sign provided in the room on the bed, and they will replace them with fresh bedding.
Upon arriving at night, the magnificent glass chandelier stretching across the lobby ceiling immediately caught my eye. The high ceiling and luxurious feel made a great first impression.
The swimming pool is quite small. However, Singapore's weather is extremely hot and humid, so people were constantly in the water regardless of the time of day. It was sufficient for cooling down and chilling out lightly during the day or evening.
Gym: Across the swimming pool, there's a gym. It was clean and a simple hotel gym, perfect for a light workout.
Breakfast/Hotel Dining: I didn't book breakfast because of the pressure to wake up early to eat breakfast when traveling. Instead of using the hotel's breakfast, lunch, or dinner buffets, we creatively handled our meals with delivery food and restaurants in nearby shopping malls.
Raffles City Shopping Mall: The Raffles City shopping mall right next to the hotel was incredibly convenient! The restaurant and food court options were so good that we often went to Raffles City for our meals during our stay.
Room Service: On the first night, we arrived at the hotel around 10-11 PM and were tired, so we ordered room service. The food tasted really delicious and satisfying, but as expected with Singapore prices, it was quite expensive. The taste is guaranteed, so it might be nice to use it once for a treat!
Location & Transportation: On the map, I thought Merlion Park was within walking distance, but Singapore's August weather was hotter and more humid than I imagined, so walking was definitely not an option.
Instead, there were well-located bus stops near the hotel, and we consistently took buses to major attractions, including Merlion Park. The routes were so well-established that we got around very conveniently. When it's hot, always use public transport!
This was a trip with my mom, and thanks to the nearby shopping mall, meals were convenient. Overall, it was a satisfying hotel stay. I recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located accommodation in the heart of Singapore.
You can check in at the front desk on the L floor in advance, then store your luggage on the ground floor lobby and go out to explore. Come back after 3 PM to pick up your room key, and staff will deliver your luggage to your room. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The room air conditioning is very noisy. Even with it on the lowest setting and wearing noise-canceling earbuds, it's still very loud.
The hotel's location is excellent, very close to popular attractions like the 'tree hole' (Gardens by the Bay Supertrees) and Merlion, all within walking distance. It's also very convenient to get to Universal Studios, taking only about half an hour.

I absolutely loved my stay at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay! The location is fantastic — right in the centre of everything and very convenient for both business and leisure. It is directly connected to Marina Square, with Suntec City and Millenia Walk also within easy walking distance, so finding food, shopping and getting around was incredibly easy.
The breakfast was delicious and definitely worth trying. There was a great variety of choices, and I really enjoyed having so many options each morning. I also tried the room service, and the food was surprisingly good — definitely a great option after a long day.
The room was huge, very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful and unique interior. I particularly loved the hotel's design — it has such a distinctive character, with many beautiful details that are definitely worth taking photos of.
The view from the room was also lovely, and having the balcony to enjoy the view was a really nice bonus. It was especially relaxing to come back after a long day, sit back and enjoy the view from the room.
Overall, I had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Great location, beautiful design, spacious rooms, lovely views and excellent food. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Singapore!
Stayed for 1N for staycation - just wish to decompress from work and dont wanna travel out of the country. I choose this hotel on ourpose for the high floor option and the Marina Bay view. The highlight was definitely the room and the spectacular views from the 46th floor. Watching Singapore change from day to night was beautiful, and waking up to the morning skyline was just as memorable.
The room was comfortable and the overall hotel experience felt relaxing and special, which was exactly what we wanted from a staycation. Breakfast was enjoyable too, with a pleasant atmosphere and good variety.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay and a lovely way to slow down and appreciate Singapore from a different perspective. Would definitely consider coming back for another staycation.
This hotel is a peaceful retreat in the bustling city center, with a vintage-style lobby. The room itself is indeed on the smaller side, but the bathroom is quite spacious and well-equipped. I highly recommend the hotel's breakfast buffet; it offers a wide variety of options including Chinese, Indian, and Western dishes, all delicious and great value for money. A special shout-out to the handsome front desk staff member who spoke Chinese – he was incredibly warm and patient, which made our check-in experience even more pleasant!
Formerly the G hotel, the location is pretty good. However, the room is quite small. There's no separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, no slippers, no mini-fridge, and no bottled water. The breakfast is a buffet, but the selection is rather limited. I've also stayed at Ibis, Mercure, and Hotel G. on Bugis. Ibis has the best breakfast and is more comfortable. When I stayed at Mercure years ago, there were always two cans of beer in the fridge every day. The biggest advantage of Hotel G. is its proximity to the MRT.
The room was spacious, and the staff cleaned it thoroughly every day. Free cold water was available in the hallway, and the hot water supply was excellent. Compared to other hotels, it offered great value for money. Public transport, including buses and the MRT, was accessible right outside. Within about 300 meters, you could find Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Toast Box. It's also conveniently located next to SMU, with a church nearby, and the overall environment is very pleasant.
Stayed 13 nights here and it’s like 2nd home to us. Excellent service specially housekeeping. Friendly staff always smile and offer help. Location very close to Lavender MRT station just below the hotel within minute you can reach there. Fare price shops, toast box and burger king also located near the hotel. Specially if anyone searching Indian food Mr K Prata also walking distance. Laundry service available at the 4th floor. You can collect coins from reception. Almost forgot about the pool. Huge pool available at the 4th floor and small gym as well. Very satisfied and highly recommended this place to anyone.

The room layout is smart and modern, and it's very clean. The service was excellent – the staff were enthusiastic and helpful, even though they didn't speak Chinese, English communication was perfectly fine. The air conditioning in the hotel is incredibly powerful; there's a noticeable difference between indoors and outdoors. I also noticed a subtle, pleasant fragrance on the first floor.

The hotel is great. The elevators are quite large and fast, so you never have to wait long. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly and promptly. The bed in the room is big and has just the right firmness. There's plenty of space in the room, easily enough for 6-7 large suitcases. Within about a 10-minute walk, you can reach a large shopping mall, or a 5-minute walk will get you to a food court where you can grab breakfast. The hotel is very close to both bus and metro stations, and it only takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center, making its location very convenient. The front desk service is also excellent. The hotel has a pool and a gym, so the facilities are good.
The loft room was perfect for a family of three with an older child! Loft 2 had a sofa bed on the second floor, which was a bit short – my 160cm tall feet just reached the edge. The swivel chair was also on the second floor, so on the first floor, you could only sit on the bed. However, the floor space was huge! We could fully open a 28-inch and a 20-inch suitcase without obstructing movement, which is incredibly practical in space-constrained Singapore! The loft was far from the elevator, so it was very quiet, and the air conditioning didn't blow directly on us. The bathroom water temperature was stable, and they provided conditioner and hand soap. The room amenities were also excellent, with a power outlet and a USB port on both the first floor and the loft that could directly accommodate Chinese plugs. The desk lamp in the loft even had a phone back-charging function – so convenient! There was a mini-fridge with free drinks and snacks replenished daily, and complimentary ice cream in the lobby from 3-6 PM. The front desk service was prompt, and there were Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk and in the restaurant during the day.
The hotel's location is superb! It's only about a 300-meter walk to Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, which is an interchange for three lines, making it incredibly convenient to get to all the attractions! In particular, Fort Canning Tree Tunnel is just a 10-minute walk away, so you can go early to avoid crowds and take photos at your leisure. Exit F of the MRT station leads to a large shopping mall with POPMART, Daiso, anime stores, many restaurants, and a local affordable supermarket, making dining and shopping very convenient. Citadines added wonderful memories to our 5-day Singapore trip! Highly recommended!!!
The hotel's location is good, about an 8-10 minute walk from Bugis MRT station, with plenty of dining options nearby. Across from the hotel is a green space, which is actually an Islamic cemetery, so those who mind should consider carefully. The room was generally clean and tidy, but small, similar to budget hotels in China. There's a swimming pool on the 4th floor.

Staff were super friendly and gave me a room upgrade!! ♥️ Nice and clean, uninterrupted room and restful!!! 10/10!! Amenities were great and sufficient. I also tried to keep the place neat and tidy before checking out so that the housekeeping staff wouldn’t be so tired and make their lives easier!

The hotel's environment is truly exceptional. Check-in is on the 8th floor, and the ground floor provides direct access to the restaurant and the beach. Right outside, there's a beach tram shuttle service that takes you to Beach Station MRT in just two stops, or about a 5-10 minute walk. During our stay, there was a beachside barbecue market starting at 2 PM every afternoon, which was when the shuttle service stopped.
We stayed on the 5th floor, and the swimming pool was right outside our door. The kids absolutely loved it! There were also swings and a seesaw, and we even spotted a hammock while walking around.
However, I can't help but mention the ants. There were always tiny ants on the bedsheets, which might be due to the area being so close to nature.

Right next to Wild Wild Wet, my kids, who weren't very enthusiastic at first, became super excited once they saw the facilities. Being able to get to the ocean quickly and encountering wildlife we don't usually see was also a plus. We had trouble because there was no tissue or drinking water (though you can buy it at the shop), and while there's nothing that can be done about it, I was surprised by how ants appeared out of nowhere. I don't think we left any ant-attracting food out, but perhaps something happened. Despite these minor issues, the location was excellent, and the room was clean. I think this is a great hotel for families with small children.
Always impressed with the overall experience at the Hotel Jen Tanglin. My top choice hotel in Singapore when I traveled to for business. Very nice Club King room and the Club Lounge is nice and decent though a bit small in space. Food offerings is good although can have more varieties as well.
I have requested for late check out and the Front of House staff name Daniella was very helpful and try to accommodate my request as well! Thank you and well recognition to the hotel staffs friendliness and attentive as well. I will definitely return on my next business trip to Singapore and Hotel Jen Tanglin will be the top choice!

Pros: The room is spacious, much better than the previous one, probably about 10 square meters larger.
Location: It's within a 10-minute walk from the subway station, and there's a 7-Eleven downstairs.
Cons: It's a bit old, just slightly better than a guesthouse.

Came here 2 years before, but I stayed at Outpost. Loved the pool experience, hence decided to return but trying a different hotel. The pools we used this morning were great, looked clean Except for the one in the middle, water looked “milky” and murky, I feedback to the front desk after we checked out. Showed the girl, Farah pic, not sure if there’s any follow up.
Otherwise, pools were great plus the guy who did the workout and dance with the guests. Posted the pics and u can see the differences for yourself, the clarity of the water.
For the room, I am not sure when’s the last time they thoroughly vacuum or mop their floor in the room as the room is not carpeted. I saw a lot of stains and hairballs in the corners… No view and it’s just a very basic room, small for us to stay 1 night.

Just a 10-minute walk to Orchard Road MRT station, and the 'pickup only' items from the ION Orchard mall downstairs are absolutely delicious. The hotel is right by a bus stop, making for a seamless ride all the way to the National University, which was incredibly convenient. I'd definitely come back again. The location is truly unbeatable – just one stop away is the Newton Food Centre, where I tried the chili crab from stall #56, featured on 'Chef Nic', and the owner was really nice too. There's also a supermarket nearby that's perfect for buying snacks.
What makes this hotel special is its location inside Funan Mall, offering a wide variety of dining options, and easy walking access to all the nearby attractions. There's even a FairPrice supermarket in B1.
We arrived at the hotel around 1 PM with our child. A young lady at the front desk efficiently processed our check-in, and we were very happy to be able to get into our room early to rest and recharge. Thank you!
The small chalkboard at the entrance is quite fun; you can draw all sorts of things on it, but it gets erased or even rewritten by others daily... Well, no big deal, you encounter all types of people.
Two things I need to complain about:
1. The bathroom ventilation is poor.
2. Breakfast was uninspired! Just a few types of bread, eggs, and two kinds of fruit, and around 9 AM, there was a severe queue.
If you are looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Singapore, V Hotel Bencoolen is a solid choice—especially for travelers who prioritize specific amenities and easy access to local facilities.
What I Loved:
Bidet Available in Room: Finding a room equipped with a bidet sprayer in Singapore can be a challenge, so having one in the bathroom was a massive plus for me. It added a high level of comfort and convenience that made the stay feel much more accommodating to my personal needs.
Prime Location near Mosques: The location is exceptionally convenient. It is situated within easy walking distance of local mosques (such as Bencoolen Mosque), making daily prayers and exploring the surrounding cultural sites entirely hassle-free.
What Could Be Improved:
Breakfast Selection: The only downside of my stay was the breakfast options. The buffet included pork bacon, which was a bit of a drawback for my dietary preferences. If you strictly require Halal-certified or pork-free dining, you might want to consider opting out of the hotel breakfast and exploring the numerous nearby Halal eateries instead.

THIS HOTEL IS CYLINDRICAL BECAUSE THEY'VE CUT EVERY CORNER!
I really wanted to like this hotel. The location is excellent and the pool and surrounding gardens are genuinely lovely. Unfortunately, what started out as a promising stay (from the photos) turned into one of the most unsettling hotel experiences I've ever had.
On my second night, at around 10pm, I encountered two men entering the rooftop pool on the 3rd floor. They asked me to hold the door open as I was returning to my room next door after a moonlit swim because they were laden with several carrier bags. I thought they were staff.
The following morning, around 8am, I returned for a sunrise swim and recognised the same two men. They appeared to have spent the night sleeping on the sun loungers. They were smoking and drinking - polishing off an entire bottle of whisky at around 10am. There was no staff presence and seemingly nobody had checked the pool area for approximately 12 hours.
I didn't feel safe swimming and reported what I had found to reception. Rather than feeling reassured, I was interrogated by reception staff and told there was no manager on duty. Their reaction was remarkably casual - they seemed fairly nonplussed, simply saying, ”We'll send someone up.”
What concerned me most is that the lifts are not guest-card activated, meaning anyone entering the bustling hotel lobby can gain access to all guest floors. My room was on the third floor, adjacent to the pool.
I later asked reception about the men. ”Oh yes, they're gone now.” No apparent apology, concern or urgency and still no manager available. When I left the following day, I specifically asked to speak to a manager and, once again, there was nobody on duty.
Unfortunately, lax security and two unidentified men bedding down for the night at the pool wasn't the only problem.
The thin mattress was so old and worn that the coiled springs were digging into my back, hips and elbows. The bedding was a scratchy brown blanket rather than a proper duvet. An enormous construction site next door started work at exactly 8am every day.
The pool itself has seen better days. The sun loungers were worn, tired, smelly and in need of replacement. Even the blue pool slide advertised by the hotel was bone dry and completely out of use.
There was no drinking water provided. When I asked for a bottle for the first night, I was told no. When I asked about a filtered water tap, I was told no - I could boil the kettle, drink the bathroom water or go to 7-Eleven. Their lackadaisical response was borderline laughable!
One final warning for non-smokers: cigarette smoke is a significant issue. The Level 2 corridors are thick with smoke which permeates the hotel. If you are sensitive to smoke, I recommend requesting Level 3 or above, which benefits from an open atrium allowing air to circulate. Smoking around the pool was also constant during my stay.
The Wi-Fi was patchy and there was absolutely no Wi-Fi around the pool.
The irony is that the hotel has a beautiful rooftop pool and an excellent location. I gave both 5/5 because they genuinely deserve it. But I gave the service 1/5 because the lack of security, staff presence and management response left me deeply uncomfortable as a solo traveller.
There wasn't a single corner of this hotel where I didn't feel like something had been cut back and, by the end, I couldn't help wondering whether I'd inadvertently booked myself into a budget youth hostel rather than a 3.5-star hotel, as advertised.
What makes this all such a shame is the hotel's potential. With its riverside views, excellent location, beautiful rooftop pool and gardens, this could be an exquisite venue with a complete refurbishment and, crucially, the right management team. The bones are there - it just desperately needs care, investment and proper management.

The location is excellent, close to transportation hubs, making taxis and public transport super convenient. The room was spacious and tidy, with meticulous cleaning details. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were well-stocked. The bed was just the right firmness, and the soundproofing was good, so it was quiet at night, ensuring a high-quality rest. The front desk service was patient and efficient, responding promptly to any requests. The entire environment was clean and comfortable. It's suitable for both short layovers and longer stays, definitely worth recommending to everyone.
I loved absolutely everything! It's trendy, stylish, and technologically advanced. In such a small space, they managed to fit everything necessary, even an ironing board and iron. The idea of a bathroom with a city view was interesting, and I was pleasantly surprised by the second-level loft bed for a child – it's very convenient, thank you! The double bed that expands is pure high-tech; I'm thrilled! The breakfasts were incredibly delicious, truly. All the activity zones were beautiful: the pool, restaurant, and gym. The hotel's location is simply amazing! Super convenient, right in the heart of Orchard Road, the main shopping street! All the best shopping malls are here! The best souvenirs are here! My first time staying at this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the bed was so comfortable to sleep on. I have my wonderful sleep and rest after my gym. It will be my second hotel to chill at.
Aside from being a ten-minute walk to the MRT station, taking nearly an hour to get to Sentosa (walking plus MRT), and the AC blowing directly on my head, there aren't many downsides. The cleanliness was decent, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. My child mentioned seeing ants in the bathroom, but I'm nearsighted so I didn't spot them. There are many eateries nearby, including the famous frog porridge. In the mornings, you can even see several crates of large, vibrant green, lively frogs displayed outside their shop. If you accidentally disturb them, they all jump around.

I used the luggage storage service on both my check-in and check-out days, and the bellhops were incredibly kind, leaving a great impression. On my check-out day, when I went to pick up my luggage after sightseeing, I got caught in a sudden downpour. The staff told me, 'If you still have time before your flight, please feel free to rest in the lobby until the rain stops. It usually clears up in about 30-40 minutes.' This allowed me to avoid moving around in the heavy rain. The room was spacious enough to open my suitcase, and the cleaning was very thorough. The only minor downsides were that the water purifier and showerhead hook seemed old and weren't fixed securely, so I had to be a bit careful when using them. However, the air conditioning, which I was initially worried about, was adjustable, and I had a comfortable two-night stay. The hotel is right next to a subway station, with a bus stop nearby, and a shopping center and Clarke Quay are within walking distance, which was very convenient.

I arrived well after midnight, completely exhausted after my trip. If you’re arriving at Terminal 3 late at night, I personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel because it isn’t the most convenient option after a long journey. However, if you’re arriving during the day or in the afternoon, I think it’s a good choice.
Unfortunately, I ran into a small issue in my room. The TV wouldn’t turn off because the remote control wasn’t working properly. One staff member initially seemed a little frustrated and focused on explaining the hotel’s procedures. At that moment, I was extremely tired, hot from Singapore’s humid weather, and honestly just wanted to get some sleep rather than discuss the situation.
In the end, the only solution was to unplug the TV from the power socket, which the staff helped me do. Once he realized that was the only way to turn it off, the situation quickly settled down.
Thankfully, after that, everything changed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I fell into a deep sleep almost immediately. The staff I met the following morning were also very kind, friendly, and helpful, which left me with a much better impression.
Overall, my stay had a rough start, but it ended on a positive note. If you’re arriving during the day, I think this hotel is a solid option. If you’re arriving at Terminal 3 in the middle of the night, though, you may want to consider a hotel that’s closer or easier to reach.e

This time, I booked a deluxe sea-view room, and the window offers a direct view of the ocean. Plus, there's even an open-air cinema downstairs! 🎬
The pool area is also divided into two: the 7th floor has an adult pool, and the 3rd floor has a kids' pool, which is a big plus because it keeps everyone from being crowded together! It's perfect for someone like me who enjoys peace and quiet.

Overall, Mercure Singapore on Stevens is a decent and comfortable hotel, although some areas are clearly in need of renovation.
Our room was bright and pleasant, with large windows and a very comfortable bed. Everything was practical and well arranged, and we slept very well. However, the corridors and entrance area already look rather dated and could definitely benefit from a refresh.
The location is average. There is not much within comfortable walking distance, but it is perfectly manageable if you use taxis or public transport.
The swimming pool is very nice. The gym is much better equipped than a typical hotel gym because it is more like a full-sized fitness club. However, both the equipment and the gym itself feel very old and heavily used, so this area also needs renovation.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay with good facilities, but the hotel would feel much more attractive after some updating.
1. The location is super convenient, just a 3-5 minute walk from City Hall MRT station. It's very close to attractions like Gardens by the Bay (if you're up for a walk, it's about 2.8km, which felt manageable when I walked back to the hotel from the Flower Dome with my kids at night).
2. The hotel facilities are simple, clean, and fresh, with no unpleasant odors. Most importantly, it's very quiet, which is great for a light sleeper like me.
3. The front desk service was excellent. They could communicate in Chinese and even allowed me to check in early; I arrived at 11 AM and was able to check in right away.

5. There's a pool with both shallow and deep sections, perfect for young children to play in.

The room was acceptably clean and looked quite tidy. The hotel's overall design felt somewhat upscale. However, they placed us in the absolute furthest corner room, very far from the elevator, which was a bit inconvenient. The front desk had staff who spoke Chinese, but their attitude was just average. Additionally, the location is quite awkward for getting to the city center. It took nearly two hours to get back from the zoo. If I were to choose again, I wouldn't stay at an airport hotel for a two-day trip.
The location is super convenient, within walking distance to Merlion Park, and a short bridge walk to Marina Bay Sands. The toiletries provided are excellent, large bottles of high-quality products. From the moment we arrived, the bellhop helping with luggage, to the staff guiding us through check-in, and even the email notification that our room was ready – the warmth and attentiveness were palpable. Plus, the breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of cuisines. I would definitely choose The Ritz-Carlton again for my next visit; it truly is a prime choice.
Front Desk: I booked four nights at Fullerton Hotel this time. As I booked quite late, the four days were split into three different reservations with two room types. Upon arrival at the front desk, we were greeted by a friendly lady with short hair and glasses. She was very helpful and actively tried to arrange a single room for us so we wouldn't have to switch, but due to the high occupancy, she couldn't make it happen. She informed us that we'd have to switch rooms after the first two nights, which we understood. A really great gesture was that this lady upgraded our room type for all four days. We had originally booked three nights in a Courtyard Club room and one night in a regular Suite. She managed to get us upgraded to Club rooms with impressive bay views. Especially on the second night, we stayed in a Loft Suite, which was huge and came with a terrace. We could sit on the terrace sofa and enjoy the bay night view and the Marina Bay Sands building. In the evening, the hotel even sent up champagne, chocolates, and fruit, which made my child incredibly happy! A big thank you to this short-haired front desk lady for giving us the opportunity to experience a better room type at the hotel! I won't comment on the other front desk staff; some seemed a bit aloof and haughty, haha!
Dining: The breakfast was comprehensive, with various Chinese, Western, and Indian options. My child particularly loved the laksa noodles and steamed egg custard, while I enjoyed the freshly made omelets. The old chef making the omelets was very versatile, speaking English, Chinese, and Japanese. I chatted with him, and he mentioned he used to be a Japanese chef. The omelets were delicious and could be loaded with many ingredients! Our room type included executive lounge access, but we were out exploring every day and only made it for afternoon tea once!
Room: The cleaning was meticulous, and we had turndown service every night. The bathroom was large, but the toothbrushes shed bristles, so we unfortunately had to buy two new toothbrushes from the 7-11 across the street.
Location: Unbeatable! You can tell from the photos. It's very close to Raffles Place MRT station, Marina Bay is right in front of you, and it's also a historic building. Just across the bridge is the Asian Civilisations Museum, and within walking distance are attractions like Clarke Quay and the Old Hill Street Police Station!
Overall Impression: The hotel had a lot of Western guests, and the service was Westernized, which was generally good! Finally, the hotel bill showed a charge of 26.98 SGD. I was in a hurry to leave and didn't check it carefully at the time. I only noticed the charge after returning home and wasn't sure what it was for, but since it wasn't much money, I didn't inquire further.
The location is very convenient, small but beautiful, with a small shopping mall next to it where you can eat and drink. You can walk to Chinatown, and there's a supermarket opposite for daily necessities. The connected buildings are very unique and are all restaurants and cafes. The whole street is very pleasant to walk along, and you can even see roosters, which is very interesting. The room also has a small water dispenser for daily drinking water, which I really liked. They also provide two pillows with different firmness options, and the bed was very comfortable!
Excellent! You can always count on established hotels. The room was spacious and the bedding was comfortable. They even set up a sofa bed and provided free bottled water. And Shangri-La's breakfast has always been the best out of all the hotels I've stayed at! Highly recommend.
The room was very spacious, and with an extra bed, it comfortably accommodated two adults and two children. It's located in the business center, very convenient to the subway. The best part was the attentive customer service; they even noticed my child's glasses and left glasses wipes. They also provided a generous amount of mineral water daily. Housekeeping came twice, once in the morning and once in the evening. It was very clean and comfortable. The service here is much better and more thorough than Marriotts in China.

For my trip to Singapore, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Atiq, an outstanding staff member at the Fairmont Hotel.
A small incident occurred during our trip, which truly highlighted the hotel's professional and heartwarming service. We stayed at the Fairmont Hotel for our first stop, and then headed to Sentosa for the next part of our itinerary. After checking in at Sentosa and just as we were about to head to Resorts World, my child suddenly realized that their blue backpack, containing nearly completed summer homework, had been left on a sofa in the Fairmont Hotel lobby. The thought of losing all that hard-earned homework instantly panicked my child, and as parents, we were at a loss and quite flustered.
In this critical moment, with assistance from the Sentosa side, Atiq from the Fairmont's concierge team responded swiftly. He carefully verified and confirmed that both the backpack and the summer homework were intact. He efficiently coordinated the inter-hotel transfer, immediately arranging a taxi to deliver the lost bag to our Sentosa hotel as quickly as possible.
From locating the lost backpack, verifying information, coordinating communication, to the actual delivery of the item, the entire cross-location handling process took only thirty minutes. Atiq's exceptional efficiency and calm, professional crisis management left us both surprised and deeply touched.
Heartfelt thanks to Atiq for his dedicated efforts! The responsibility and commitment of the Fairmont Hotel staff made this overseas trip exceptionally warm and perfect. A definite 👍, highly recommended!
The room with a balcony was very airy! The location was also excellent, and the Indian restaurant downstairs was delicious. I suggest the owner replace the plastic kettle with a stainless steel one, as the plastic one leaves a strange smell in the boiled water. Such a large balcony really needs comfortable chairs; the current ones are completely broken, which is a shame.
Clean and classy hotel room. Right in the heart if the city. Easy to get around. Plenty of food & restaurants to choose from. Hotel staff are courteous and friendly. Especially Susan Tan at the reception desk. Thank-you, for granting us a late check-out. We will definitely be back here. And recommend our friends to stay here at A-Hotel Bugis.

The view from the window is just like a picture – choosing a riverside room was definitely a wise decision. You can see the Singapore River, its bridges, and Clarke Quay. Although the windows are sealed, the room's ventilation system is excellent; there's no stuffiness or strange odors. Singapore is humid, so I assume the sealed windows are to prevent the room from getting damp.
The location is central, offering a quiet escape from the city buzz while being incredibly convenient for transport. If you're traveling with elderly family members or children and need to take taxis, nearly every attraction is easily accessible from here. It's also fantastic for a leisurely stroll; the surrounding area has no super-tall buildings, just a historic and charming neighborhood. I absolutely love this kind of urban character.
The room, though small, has everything you need. While the room facilities and bedding might not quite meet five-star standards, and the single bed is a bit narrow, these are all acceptable given the numerous positives, haha! The front desk staff were lovely, and the buffet restaurant staff were very efficient. The egg pancake at the breakfast buffet was good, and dining outdoors was very pleasant. The room service staff were also quite decent. The bedding wasn't changed daily; during our three-day stay, they only emptied the bins and replaced the linen. As a traveler who enjoys immersing myself in local culture, this century-old building offers excellent value for money.
The hotel is very well located, and the lady who welcomed us was lovely and friendly.
However, there were several downsides to our stay. The shower leaked badly due to poor drainage, and we noticed that the bedsheets were stained, which was disappointing in terms of cleanliness.
If you are looking for comfort, I would personally not recommend this hotel. Many basic amenities are not provided, with the explanation that this is part of their “eco-friendly” approach. While I completely understand the idea of being environmentally conscious, it felt more like a lack of basic amenities considering the price of the stay.
Overall, the location is definitely a plus, but unfortunately, I don’t think the experience justifies the price.
This hotel is a century old, and apparently, even Charlie Chaplin stayed here. The suite is two-storied, with a very comfortable king-size bed on the second floor, a sofa bed in the living room, and a cot (too thin). There's one bathroom, though the shower stall is a bit narrow, the water pressure isn't great, and controlling the water temperature is a bit tricky.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave, oven, pots, pans, and even a washer-dryer combo, along with laundry detergent – which was fantastic for refreshing our clothes daily.
There are two pools. The main pool has a rather steep slope and is 2.8 meters deep at its deepest point. There are no lifeguards, changing rooms, or showers; you either have to change in the lobby restrooms or go directly in your swimwear.
The service was excellent. They proactively helped with luggage. After checking in, I was told the room wouldn't be ready until 3 PM, but the front desk staff found me in the lobby before 3 PM, remembered my name, and gave me the key – that was a nice touch.
The hotel is about 800 meters from Orchard Road's ION, Isetan, and Jollibee. There's a FairPrice supermarket in Scott Square, which is a great spot to pick up local specialties. For affordable breakfast, there's Ya Kun Kaya Toast, food courts, and hawker centers nearby, but honestly, after a while, they all pretty much taste the same.

The hotel pool was closed for maintenance and you directed us to a free pool to use round the corner in a different hotel which was beautiful. Thank you for making our trip great. The hotel's location is pretty good, about a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport. The driver dropped us off at the entrance of one apartment building, and we only found out the hotel was in the building behind it after asking the housekeeper of the adjacent apartment, who kindly showed us the way. We arrived around 7 AM, and the front desk said check-in wasn't until 3 PM, so we just left our luggage there, which was convenient. The hotel is very close to the subway, and there are covered walkways everywhere you go nearby, so you don't have to worry about the sun. We were able to check in directly when we went back at 2:30 PM. We stayed in a suite on the 9th floor, which required a key card to access the elevator and select our floor. We booked a two-bedroom suite: the twin beds were a bit small, but pushed together they made a 1.8-meter king-size bed, so essentially both rooms were 1.8-meter king rooms, each with its own bathroom. It was perfect for a family of three. The mattresses were comfortable, and we slept well. The room was clean and tidy. Although the sheets and pillowcases weren't changed during our three-night stay, we brought our own disposable toiletries, so it wasn't a big deal. The living room had a washing machine and pots and pans, so we could buy simple groceries from the supermarket and cook our own meals, which was a nice experience. The service throughout our stay was decent.
I had an enjoyable stay at Hotel NuVe Urbane and would like to thank the team for their warm hospitality. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always happy to assist. I also loved the complimentary coffee and snacks station, which is a thoughtful feature that many hotels don't offer.
The rooms were of a comfortable, average size for a city hotel. One area that could be improved is the room preparation time. With check-out at 11:00 a.m., it seems a long wait before rooms are ready for new guests, so perhaps additional housekeeping support during busy periods could help.
My main suggestion would be to consider replacing the carpets in the hallways and guest rooms. Despite the staff's best efforts, the carpets have a lingering odor that affects the overall comfort of the stay. A flooring upgrade would make the hotel feel much fresher. Overall, I would gladly stay here again and look forward to seeing these improvements.
Getting to the Jurong East area is incredibly efficient.
By MRT: Take the East-West (Green) Line or North-South (Red) Line and alight at Jurong East Station (EW24/NS1).
The Walk: Take Exit A. Walk through the JEM shopping mall and follow the overhead pedestrian network. It will drop you right at the street level of the Science Centre.
Dining: Skip the overpriced tourist traps. Walk back toward Jurong East MRT to Westgate or JEM shopping malls. Both feature extensive basement food halls where you can grab authentic Hainanese chicken rice or a bowl of rich Laksa for under S$8.
Your trip to Singapore's western hub doesn't require a rigid, stressful schedule. By locking in your tickets early, knowing the exact walking routes, and clustering your activities around Jurong East, you can execute a flawless, high-energy family adventure.
Do I need to buy tickets in advance for Science Centre Singapore?
Yes. The ticketing counters do not accept cash, and walk-in availability is never guaranteed during school holidays. Always pre-book online to secure your entry.
How much time should I allocate for my visit?
Plan for at least 3 to 4 hours to comfortably experience the main halls, the outdoor Kinetic Garden, and a live demonstration. If you are adding Snow City or the Omni-Theatre, allocate a full 6 hours.
