This is a long-standing five-star hotel in Singapore. I stayed here for eight nights this time. It's my top choice for business and family trips to Singapore, offering great value for money. **Excellent Location** The location is superb. Right opposite the hotel exit is an MRT station. Although it's not a major line, it's convenient to get anywhere with a quick transfer. Within five or six minutes' walk, there's a large shopping center, The Great World, which has plenty of dining, shopping, and local specialty food options. The surrounding area is also a hub for tourist attractions, easily reachable by taxi or a few MRT stops. **Hotel Design** Given its five-star heritage and recent renovation, the rooms and hotel interior are very new and spacious. I was particularly impressed by the in-room coffee machine and water dispenser. Enjoying a rich cup of coffee while getting ready in the morning [smiley emoji] is a lovely touch. **Hotel Facilities** The swimming pool, gym, conference rooms, and restaurants are all well-equipped. **Service** I didn't get much chance to experience the service as I came back late and was out all day. My only minor complaint is the poor soundproofing. Perhaps it was because I was next to a door that seemed to lead nowhere, and the opening/closing sounds were loud. I could also hear cleaning staff making noise in the mornings. However, the front desk handled it very well, and they were much more careful afterward.

Forgot the 2 staff that serving us ( 1 female lady with short hair as Recep malay girl and 1 glasses tall malay guy as bellboy ) Even we just arrived and brought backpack only but they entertained us with good PR. Love the room size, good mattress good pillow also the carpet is clean, no dusty. Water supply strong during shower. Spent to a good rest place is worth it as we need a break from hectic work schedule. As we read this hotel got fews honourable, happy to stay here for our short staycation in SG!

I was a bit disappointed with the hotel during this second visit in June 2026. There was a noisy construction site outside the window, and drilling went on for several hours in one of the neighboring rooms due to renovations. I really wanted to rest after my journey but couldn't, neither in the room nor on the terrace. They couldn't find another room for me, but they tried to smooth things over, which is a plus for the hotel. This time, there were no welcome fruits, no second evening housekeeping service, and no replenishment of amenities, tea bags, or candies. Breakfast was good. The view was excellent; I watched the tree show from my room. Overall, considering the room price, I had hoped for better. My first visit was more enjoyable. It's best to go to the pool right when it opens at 6 AM – there are minimal people then. However, it's heavily chlorinated; even after washing, the smell wouldn't come out of my swimsuit. It was convenient that my room was in the same tower, so I could go to the pool in my bathrobe and slippers. There's free bottled water at the pool and a restaurant for snacks.

I stayed at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay during a solo business trip to Singapore, mainly because I had meetings near Marina Bay Sands. The hotel checked many boxes for me, especially its convenient location, Halal certified breakfast buffet and walking distance access to train stations. The reception area on Level 4 immediately left a strong impression. The interior is beautiful and filled with greenery, somewhat reminding me of Gardens by the Bay. It feels modern, relaxing and very photogenic / Instagrammable at the same time. I appreciated the convenience of online check in and check out. During check in, I was assisted by Yarik, who was extremely friendly and welcoming. He thoughtfully gave me a room facing Marina Bay Sands, which I truly appreciated. Thank you again, Yarik. The room itself was spacious for a solo traveller. Everything was very clean, and I really enjoyed the bathtub and toiletries provided. Another thing I loved was the coffee selection in the room. There were different coffee strengths available, from mild to very strong, which was perfect for someone like me who enjoys coffee a lot. I visited the hotel gym as well. It is not huge, but good enough for a basic workout. Since I am an Anytime Fitness (AF) member, I also walked to the nearby Suntec City AF branch, which was very convenient from the hotel. The location is excellent. Promenade MRT Station and Esplanade MRT Station are both within about five minutes’ walk, and the Merlion Park area is nearby too, making it easy for me to go jogging. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices. I especially loved the blended juice with ginger and cinnamon. On checkout day, although my late checkout request was initially declined by Lydia at the reception counter because the hotel was full, the team later managed to accommodate my request after I explained my situation. Thanks as well to Yi Quan for assisting during checkout. Overall, this hotel was amazing. I genuinely enjoyed the stay, especially the thoughtful service and the Halal certified breakfast buffet.

This was my second stay at Swissôtel, and perhaps because my first experience was so good, I skipped other options and rebooked. However, I encountered several issues this time. **Location:** It's right by Raffles, with a mall, supermarket, and subway station right below the hotel. The location gets a perfect 10/10. **Hotel Facilities:** They're decent and standard. The hotel is old but still well-maintained, and the air conditioning works great. **Room Condition:** The bedding hygiene was just so-so; I'd recommend bringing your own disposable linen set. The cleaning service was excellent, especially the lack of that unique post-cleaning scent often found in Southeast Asian hotels. The view, as pictured, is definitely worth it. **Breakfast:** This is where I have serious complaints. First, the variety was very limited, which is unacceptable for S$50 per person – a total rip-off. Second, items like the breakfast salmon, Japanese soba noodle sauce, and omelets were either not refilled after running out or had extremely long queues – another total rip-off. Finally, the breakfast service was non-existent; it was even exaggerated to the point where guests carrying breakfast plates had to make way for staff walking empty-handed. Absolutely terrible. **Summary:** For first-time visitors to Singapore, I still recommend this place because of its convenience. But for frequent visitors, I suggest comparing it with other hotels.

This hotel is centrally located, very convenient to the MRT and bus stops, making it easy to get around even on foot. As it's surrounded by several academies, it's a paradise for young people with plenty of shopping malls and restaurants. The rooms have basic amenities, but they are thoughtfully designed, such as the hot water dispenser in the room, and shared irons, ironing boards, fridges, and microwaves on each floor. There are also coin-operated laundry facilities, which are very useful given Singapore's hot weather. The laundry room is connected to the gym, a nice touch so you can work out while waiting. For short stays, they don't clean the room daily. The air conditioning is excellent. The bathroom, however, doesn't have a wet/dry separation.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a subway station right outside the door and another line a few hundred meters away that goes to Chinatown. It's about an 800-meter walk to the Fort Canning tree tunnel (a popular photo spot), and from there you can continue on to the Old Hill Street Police Station (also known as the Rainbow Police Station), Clarke Quay, and the Merlion. The room size is a definite advantage compared to other hotels in the same price range; there's plenty of space to walk even with two large suitcases. The bathroom size is standard as well. The downside is that the bathroom fixtures are quite old, and the shower is difficult to use. However, I was aware of this beforehand, so I was prepared, and given the other advantages, it's acceptable. The bedding is good, and the sofa is quite comfortable. Among the toiletries, only the shampoo, shower gel, and toothbrush weren't great; everything else was fine. The room has a kettle and comes with tea and coffee packets. There's also a water dispenser in the hallway where you can get iced or room temperature water. The hotel breakfast is decent, on par with business hotels in China. However, the service is excellent; they diligently restock drinks and food even at the last minute, even if there are only a few people dining. There are washing machines and dryers on the fourth floor, each costing 5 SGD, and you can get change for coins at the front desk. The commercial machines work very well; the dryer gets clothes completely dry in 40 minutes. There are also ironing facilities in the room. Overall, I recommend this hotel. If you have a higher budget, you might look elsewhere, but if you're looking for great value for money at this price point, you should definitely consider it.

Wonderful Stay at V Hotel Lavender with Excellent Hospitality Had a pleasant stay at V Hotel Lavender. As this was our first trip to Singapore, especially with a 2-year-old toddler, everything felt very comfortable and convenient here. The hotel is also very friendly for Indonesian guests who are used to having a bidet in the toilet. We were especially grateful for the excellent service we received. Miss Cecilia, the receptionist on duty that day, was incredibly kind to us. She gave us a room with a beautiful view and also allowed us to have a late check-out at 1 PM, which really helped us manage our toddler’s nap schedule without any hassle. Thank you, Miss Cecilia, and all the staff at V Hotel Lavender for making our holiday comfortable and memorable.

Pros: Very close to VivoCity, just across the road (though you'll need to cross a few traffic lights). Other than that, there's not much else to write home about. The biggest problem is the excessive noise! The sound of vehicles (likely motorcycles) on the road at night is incredibly 'refreshing' – I've never had trouble sleeping before, but I was woken up multiple times. If you're a light sleeper, definitely avoid this place. The bed is also very high, so it's not suitable for seniors with mobility issues. The design of the bathroom and shower doors is quite odd, and the soundproofing in the room is terrible. Flushing the toilet in the middle of the night creates a very loud noise, which is disruptive to anyone else in the room.

The room is tiny, really tiny. Once the door is closed, and you open a 26-inch suitcase, there's no room to walk. You can fit a 20-inch suitcase on the table, but a 28-inch one would definitely have to go on the bed. However, the location is excellent! Turn right out of the hotel, and in less than 50 meters, maybe even just 30 meters, you're at Bencoolen MRT Station Exit A. Super convenient for getting around, thumbs up, it's truly fantastic! The front desk has a lady who speaks Chinese.

Shuttle service also provided to go along the beaches ; Pahlawan beach, Tanjong Beach and Siloso Beach which is also convenient to take bus, train and taxi at nearby station. Easy access transportation in and out from Sentosa Island. Love the seaview and garden view from the rooftop and also just a walking distance to Beach Station in less than 10mins from the resort. This is my 2nd time staycation here and highly recommend for a short gateway and healing by nature in Sentosa Island.

We got here at 10pm just got off a flight and need to catch another flight early in the morning. It’s a massive resort, rooms are quite old. We can hear some kid running either upstairs of us or outside in the corridor at 2am, we can’t go back to sleep after this. Also the most scary part is that we found a metal pin on one of the beds, as my son said there was something weird, I’ve brought it to the front desk at checkout, and the front desk man said “****, I’ll talk to my manager “. So don’t think we’ll come back here again🙂. Gotta say the taxi service is pretty efficient as we needed to get to the airport at 4:30am.

This is an older hotel with basic facilities. It's comparable to a 3-star hotel in China, and the breakfast is about what you'd expect from a 3-4 star hotel there. Our family of four stayed here specifically for the two large beds. The hotel's location isn't far from the MRT station. Haji Lane and BOSS HOTEL (the starting point for the Legoland shuttle) are all within walking distance, and there are many bus routes nearby, making transportation very convenient. There are plenty of food and drink options downstairs, and there's an Indian minimart across the street from the hotel that's much cheaper than the 7-Eleven down the block. I misplaced something and when I called, they immediately knew which room I was in and what I had lost, which shows excellent coordination between the front desk and housekeeping. Thumbs up for that!

First time staying at Pan Pacific 3D2N stay was pleasant. As we book connecting room , and have to wait a bit longer for our other room to be ready the reception display their best professionalism to accommodate. The room was spacious, mini fridge filled with drinks and chocolate reserve for guests for quick snack. Like the motorized curtains. The amenities like coffee machine come in handy for a good coffee. Our high floor panoramic city view room, we did manage to catch a glimpse of the Singapore flyer, marina bay sands from outside our room which is a breath taking view. Hope we get to book marina view next time.The pool was big and my kids enjoy relaxing and swimming. The foot reflexology treatment was relaxing and comforting. Overall I'm delighted with my staycation from the moment we arrive, we were welcome and greeted by the bell attendant, front reception, even check out was smooth and till our departure the hotel staff hospitality has treated us well. On side note if room service food/halal breakfast spread is available would be added advantage for Muslim guests. 👍👍

Picked Lyf at Funan cause of its accessibility to performance venues plus work. This is the second time staying at an Ascott group and serviced apartment-type hotel. The Lyf guards/staff were super helpful during check in. Rooms were from level 5 onwards, situated on both sides of the lift and via a secured door of which we had to tap our room card to access the corridor of rooms. Meaning corridor of rooms (left and right side of the lift) also had its own secured entrance. We could even use the DiscoverASR app on our phone to access our hotel room. Love this idea so much. I feel all hotels should implement this system. There was a black board outside each room for us to draw something should we wish. Each room also came with its own unique door design, which resembled local gates and doors in Singapore. Which is pretty cool! Hotel room was fairly clean, but I did find a huge fingernail on the sheets at one point, which I threw in the bin. Bathroom was good. While I do appreciate the compact creativity of the bathroom, it does not allow a guest to place the bathroom mat in the bathroom itself, without risk of getting it wet or soaked. Instead, placing it outside (in the bedroom) felt more feasible, though not aesthetically pleasing. Love the Ideology shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand wash! They always reminds me of Aesop products. Shower water pressure was good, and one could choose between shower head or rain shower. AC was good too, though I do wish that we are able to adjust the temp. I tried to set it lower than 20, but was unable to. Bed was an interesting structure of a mattress on a wooden (plank) “shelf”, which meant that it was lower than a normal bed height. This allowed for better usage of the room space, though older guests might find trouble getting up. I do love that there was a small space from the mattress, which allowed us to place our phone/charging devices, even a drink beside us. There was a small room safe was underneath the bed too. However, as the middle leg of the wooden structure also supported the weight of the structure, this meant that one might stub their toes/feet into it. Guests mentioned that they didn’t like having to crawl across the bed to draw the blinds up and down, which is exactly I had to do too. As there was some landscaping works going on, I also saw a giant grasshopper outside. Very nature vibes! There was breakfast provided daily on Level 5. Nothing fancy but still pretty decent. There was a mix of local/asian and some western cuisine on the menu. Staff at the breakfast area were super amicable and efficient. Appreciated that there was a small kettle, and two mugs in the room. Which meant there was no need to head to communal kitchen for hot water should one decide to have a cuppa or instant soup. There was however no mini fridge in the room. And no telly either, not even a small one. Not a huge issue as a staycation, but might have been a deterrent if I had been visiting. At 18sq metres, this basic one of a kind room was also much smaller than the Lyf on Elizabeth St in Melbourne - which had a telly and fridge, at 22sq metres. There was however considerable good usage of the room at Lyf @ Funan. Hanging racks instead of a wardrobe. Shelves of sorts, and hidden corners to put your stuff in. Some worked better than others. As I normally make my bed before checking out, I wondered if it was more difficult for housekeeping to make the beds of these sort of rooms considering the height and the fact that it’s wedged to the end at the window. Nevertheless, albeit the shortcomings in the functionality of a some design aspects, I would definitely still stay here again, if the price was right. They have strong competition from nearby hotels. Place is good. Safe, and easy to get to, even if it’s past midnight or 6am in the morning. The entrance to Funan is actually open, and there’s a straight lift to the hotel. maccas downstairs that opens till 2am.

Check-in at the hotel was incredibly slow. The front desk staff were quite old and didn't speak Chinese. We arrived at noon and couldn't check in, so we just completed the paperwork and left our luggage. When we came back in the evening, we had to queue again to get our room assigned. The room itself was very satisfactory and clean. However, the mini-fridge was drawer-style and completely at room temperature. There was no bottled water; we had to refill from a water dispenser which looked quite dirty. Luckily, the supermarket in the basement of Funan Mall across from the hotel sold cheap water – 1.5 liters for S$0.85, which saved us. Coca-Cola was S$3 for two 500ml bottles, much cheaper than 7-Eleven where the same size was S$3.8. Funan Mall also has plenty of dining options like Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Song Fa Bak Kut Teh.

The hotel's location is excellent. If you're traveling by subway, you can just use the side entrance to the mall, and the transfer at Chinatown station is super smooth. The hotel environment is elegant and quiet, which is great for those who need good sleep. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's more than enough for daily needs, and they have all the standard coffee options. What's really cool is that they offer coffee in paper cups, which is a nice touch! Also, there's a fully automatic robot that cooks noodles, and they taste pretty good – definitely worth trying if you like noodles! The hotel service was fantastic. Overall, my friend and I were very satisfied. Next time I bring my whole family to Singapore, I'll definitely choose to stay here again because it's so convenient to get to VivoCity by subway. We can head over there for some spicy crab, haha! 😆

The next morning after checking out, I stored my bags and went sightseeing in the city, which was also very easy to do. In the afternoon, I returned to the hotel and asked the front desk for an elevator card to access the third-floor swimming pool. Having a shower and a swim there was such great value for money! When it was time, I went to check in for my flight. Definitely recommend this place!

The view from the window is just like a picture – choosing a riverside room was definitely a wise decision. You can see the Singapore River, its bridges, and Clarke Quay. Although the windows are sealed, the room's ventilation system is excellent; there's no stuffiness or strange odors. Singapore is humid, so I assume the sealed windows are to prevent the room from getting damp. The location is central, offering a quiet escape from the city buzz while being incredibly convenient for transport. If you're traveling with elderly family members or children and need to take taxis, nearly every attraction is easily accessible from here. It's also fantastic for a leisurely stroll; the surrounding area has no super-tall buildings, just a historic and charming neighborhood. I absolutely love this kind of urban character. The room, though small, has everything you need. While the room facilities and bedding might not quite meet five-star standards, and the single bed is a bit narrow, these are all acceptable given the numerous positives, haha! The front desk staff were lovely, and the buffet restaurant staff were very efficient. The egg pancake at the breakfast buffet was good, and dining outdoors was very pleasant. The room service staff were also quite decent. The bedding wasn't changed daily; during our three-day stay, they only emptied the bins and replaced the linen. As a traveler who enjoys immersing myself in local culture, this century-old building offers excellent value for money.

There was absolutely no useful information provided – nothing about the hotel's shuttle service, the fact that the kids' club costs extra, or details about adding breakfast. The service was utterly terrible. Having stayed at so many five-star hotels, I've noticed that only the Chinese front desk staff provide the worst service, while those who speak English are far superior. The Splash water play area was good, but the Buds indoor playground charges a fee. The bakery on the first floor offers inexpensive bread that's huge and affordable. However, the Louge restaurant's prices are outrageously expensive, probably double what you'd pay outside. A bak kut teh, which normally costs around 20 SGD elsewhere, is 40 SGD here – you'd be better off adding breakfast to your stay. The location is also quite remote. Given this level of service, I won't be returning. The hotel itself is beautiful, though.

I stayed in a Grand Wing Deluxe Twin room this time, and the overall experience was much better than expected. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to TANGS Plaza, and just a few minutes' walk to Orchard MRT. It's perfect for shopping, dining, and getting around by subway. The room was quite spacious by Singapore standards, and two people staying there didn't feel crowded at all. The newly renovated design is simple yet elegant, and the natural light is excellent; the sunshine streaming in during the day was very pleasant. The bathroom came with a bathtub, and the amenities were Balmain, giving it a nice, upscale feel. What impressed me most was the bed. It was just the right firmness with excellent support – easily the most comfortable bed I've slept in recently. I had two consecutive nights of great sleep. There were also plenty of hangers, which is a thoughtful touch for guests staying more than one night. If I had to pick out minor drawbacks, the room ceiling wasn't particularly high, and the water pressure wasn't exceptionally strong, though still within a comfortable range and didn't detract from the overall experience. Due to a packed schedule this trip, I didn't get to try the breakfast or the hotel facilities. Overall, I was very satisfied with the location, room comfort, and sleep quality. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Singapore. Highly recommended.

The big king size bed was positioned central to the room so one can walk all the way around it which made a nice change to the usual 99% of hotel rooms with headboard against a wall. (The safe was extra large and easily accessible from a reinforced pull out drawer between the two glazed wardrobe doors!) We payed around £350 per night for our room but was booked over 6 months in advance. Shorter booking times found the price up to over £600 a night, so not cheap! But would highly recommend this hotel at least once for the more price conscience visitor because of its impeccable luxury and stunning views of Singapore Bay!

Walk a bit further to the fork in the road, and you'll find a hotpot place. Ordering delivery via Grab is also very easy, and the front desk helps with receiving orders. Transportation is very convenient. A bus stop is just a 3-minute walk away. Haji Lane is a 15-minute walk, the National Gallery is a 10-minute walk, and the Duck Tour is an 18-minute walk. Maxwell Food Centre is less than 20 minutes away. To get to Gardens by the Bay's Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, just take the Downtown Line, and you'll be there in 30 minutes. Most taxi rides will get you to your destination within 20 minutes. Great value for money overall. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

First of all, a big thank you to May at the front desk! She was always smiling and enthusiastic, and even kindly helped us check into one of our rooms early so we could rest up and start our wonderful Singapore trip. What you see is what you get – the reality matches the pictures perfectly. The value for money is good, and the rooms even have standard Chinese power outlets, so no worries if you forgot your adapter. Getting to attractions like Merlion Park is usually just one bus ride away, taking about 20 minutes. The only place that's a bit further is the zoo, which takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes by bus. There are plenty of affordable dining options nearby; I particularly enjoyed the Indian food, which is definitely worth trying in Singapore. You'll also find Sheng Siong Supermarket and NTUC FairPrice nearby, both offering reasonably priced goods. And if you head over to Lorong 17, you can find durians – 3 boxes for 10 SGD is already excellent!

The room wasn't huge, but it was very clean. The location was decent, not too far from the metro station. There was construction outside, but I didn't hear any noise. Service was standard. The price was a bit high, but understandable given it was during the Chinese New Year. Overall, it was good, and I'd stay here again.
