Just a ten-minute walk from the hotel is a shopping mall with a supermarket and plenty of food options. The subway station is underground. In the evenings, after dinner, we'd take the subway back and then walk to the hotel. The kids loved it so much they didn't want to leave.

This is an honest review of Carlton Hotel Singapore, where my mother and I stayed in the second week of August!
I'll summarize what I felt during my stay.
Floor: I requested a high floor when booking, but unfortunately, it wasn't accommodated, and we were assigned the 8th floor. However, the room condition was pleasant, so we didn't experience much inconvenience during our stay.
Bed Type: The room type was an Executive Room. We requested twin beds so my mom and I could sleep comfortably, and they provided a room with two beds, which was perfect. The bedding was fresh, and the mattress was soft, so we slept soundly every night.
Deposit & Cancellation Period: A deposit of $200 (SGD) is authorized upon check-in. Even if you use paid services, they are not deducted from the deposit; you pay for them separately upon check-out. It's been about 3 days since we checked out, and the deposit cancellation hasn't been processed yet, likely because it's an overseas authorization. It usually takes a few days to 1-2 weeks depending on the card company, so it's best to wait patiently.
Bathroom & Amenities: Toothpaste and toothbrushes were provided, and shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were well-stocked, which we used comfortably throughout our stay. A hairdryer was also available.
Cleaning & Refill: If you press the 'Please Clean Up' switch in the room, they will clean the room and replenish water, towels, toothpaste, and toothbrushes generously every time.
Tip for Bedding Change: If you want to have the bed sheets completely changed, make sure to place the green sign provided in the room on the bed, and they will replace them with fresh bedding.
Upon arriving at night, the magnificent glass chandelier stretching across the lobby ceiling immediately caught my eye. The high ceiling and luxurious feel made a great first impression.
The swimming pool is quite small. However, Singapore's weather is extremely hot and humid, so people were constantly in the water regardless of the time of day. It was sufficient for cooling down and chilling out lightly during the day or evening.
Gym: Across the swimming pool, there's a gym. It was clean and a simple hotel gym, perfect for a light workout.
Breakfast/Hotel Dining: I didn't book breakfast because of the pressure to wake up early to eat breakfast when traveling. Instead of using the hotel's breakfast, lunch, or dinner buffets, we creatively handled our meals with delivery food and restaurants in nearby shopping malls.
Raffles City Shopping Mall: The Raffles City shopping mall right next to the hotel was incredibly convenient! The restaurant and food court options were so good that we often went to Raffles City for our meals during our stay.
Room Service: On the first night, we arrived at the hotel around 10-11 PM and were tired, so we ordered room service. The food tasted really delicious and satisfying, but as expected with Singapore prices, it was quite expensive. The taste is guaranteed, so it might be nice to use it once for a treat!
Location & Transportation: On the map, I thought Merlion Park was within walking distance, but Singapore's August weather was hotter and more humid than I imagined, so walking was definitely not an option.
Instead, there were well-located bus stops near the hotel, and we consistently took buses to major attractions, including Merlion Park. The routes were so well-established that we got around very conveniently. When it's hot, always use public transport!
This was a trip with my mom, and thanks to the nearby shopping mall, meals were convenient. Overall, it was a satisfying hotel stay. I recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located accommodation in the heart of Singapore.
This hotel, formerly the Peninsula Excelsior, is divided into a South Tower and a North Tower, with the South Tower generally considered better by online reviewers. Its location is excellent, within walking distance to Merlion Park, National Gallery Singapore, National Museum of Singapore, and Fort Canning Park. Chinatown is also just a 20-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient. Next door is Funan Mall, which houses a FairPrice Finest supermarket, where we got all our food and drinks for a few days.
I booked a standard room and specifically requested a room in the South Tower during check-in. I got room 1106, which faced the hotel, overlooking the pool and the lobby's canopy. It should have been a relatively quiet room type, but I could still hear occasional sounds from the fire station and intermittent machinery noises (not sure where they were coming from). The room's cleanliness was generally acceptable, but the fingerprints on the window glass remained uncleaned from check-in until check-out. During my extended stay, I noticed the housekeeping staff took off their shoes when entering to clean, and the room was tidied up quite well. The mattress is quite firm, so it might not be suitable if you prefer a softer bed. There were three types of pillows to choose from, but no latex pillows. The step in the bathroom tripped me three times; it was quite tricky.
Toiletries didn't include cotton swabs or combs. I had to dial 0 to request them and waited for at least an hour...
An old, luxurious hotel with spacious public areas.
The suite was on the smaller side, and the bedding was mediocre. The bathroom fixtures felt cheap and outdated.
The 'sea view' from the suite's balcony? It was angled, what a letdown.
The executive lounge offered just a few pastries and fruits – very perfunctory.
The service was poor, showcasing the inherent Singaporean arrogance towards mainland Chinese.
Conclusion: Not worth it.
Stayed for 1N for staycation - just wish to decompress from work and dont wanna travel out of the country. I choose this hotel on ourpose for the high floor option and the Marina Bay view. The highlight was definitely the room and the spectacular views from the 46th floor. Watching Singapore change from day to night was beautiful, and waking up to the morning skyline was just as memorable.
The room was comfortable and the overall hotel experience felt relaxing and special, which was exactly what we wanted from a staycation. Breakfast was enjoyable too, with a pleasant atmosphere and good variety.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay and a lovely way to slow down and appreciate Singapore from a different perspective. Would definitely consider coming back for another staycation.

The location is super convenient! It's within walking distance to the Merlion and Clarke Quay. If you turn right out of the hotel and cross two traffic lights, you'll find a large local shopping area with plenty of dining and shopping options. Turn left out of the hotel and there's a subway station right there. Bus 36 goes directly to the airport, and the pick-up/drop-off point is the same for both directions. We arrived at 12 PM and were able to check in three hours early (check-in is usually at 3 PM) for an additional S$16.
The hotel is huge and pretty well located, there are many convenience stores and even a metro station right there. The staff is really nice and help you out with anything you need.
The rooms are a bit small but cozy. The only problem was the shower which was way too small, but the rest was quite nice.
Staff clean you room daily, provide coffee, tea and stuff like that and they have water filters on every room.

The hotel is great. The elevators are quite large and fast, so you never have to wait long. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly and promptly. The bed in the room is big and has just the right firmness. There's plenty of space in the room, easily enough for 6-7 large suitcases. Within about a 10-minute walk, you can reach a large shopping mall, or a 5-minute walk will get you to a food court where you can grab breakfast. The hotel is very close to both bus and metro stations, and it only takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center, making its location very convenient. The front desk service is also excellent. The hotel has a pool and a gym, so the facilities are good.

Great location situated right between Lavender and Bugis stations. It’s very convenient for traveling to Bugis for shopping or heading over to Chinatown. The room offered good value for money; it was reasonably sized and kept very clean. My only minor complaint is that the soundproofing could be better, as noise from hallway was audible. However, for a short one-night solo stay, it wasn't a major issue and I was generally satisfied.
Pros: Close to Sentosa Island, right next to Vivocity and a large supermarket, making shopping and getting around very convenient (the watermelon photo in the review was taken at the supermarket). The room also has a mini-fridge. Although the room isn't huge, it's considered good value for money in Singapore.
Cons: Housekeeping only comes once every two days and isn't very thorough. On the day they did clean, I came back to find the cups hadn't been washed properly. There were also small bugs on the table (though perhaps that's common in Southeast Asia).
Overall, it's a good choice! If I come back to Singapore, I might choose to stay here again.
Also, I highly recommend visiting the small but excellent Asian Civilisations Museum, especially the Black Swan shipwreck exhibition from China. It's more worthwhile than the National Museum of Singapore.
Siloso Beach Resort is a treasure hotel with green and eco-friendly concept. The staying experience is kinda of beyond our expectation.
The location is excellent, where nearby the beach and the shuttle bus with easy access to play all around the Sentosa.
Both the working staff and the management are warm-hearted and helpful. Especially Antony, one Indian working staff, gave us quite good dining suggestion.
The design concept is natural, green, original and sustainable. Hotel room is spacious and part of their staff are persons with disabilities. The hotel create the working opportunity for those kind of special persons and make contribution to the society. We like this hotel and would love to come back again!

Right next to Wild Wild Wet, my kids, who weren't very enthusiastic at first, became super excited once they saw the facilities. Being able to get to the ocean quickly and encountering wildlife we don't usually see was also a plus. We had trouble because there was no tissue or drinking water (though you can buy it at the shop), and while there's nothing that can be done about it, I was surprised by how ants appeared out of nowhere. I don't think we left any ant-attracting food out, but perhaps something happened. Despite these minor issues, the location was excellent, and the room was clean. I think this is a great hotel for families with small children.
This hotel is conveniently located right on Orchard Road. It's just a 1-minute walk from MRT Exit 1. Plus, it's connected to Tanglin Mall on the second floor, which means easy access to a supermarket, pharmacy, clothing stores, and various dining options – super convenient! The hotel breakfast is extensive and good quality, and the pool is very clean; our kids absolutely loved splashing around there! What's more, the hotel is really close to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, just a 5-minute walk away. I highly, highly recommend the Singapore Botanic Gardens – it's fantastic for an early morning stroll or run, with a massive, massive, massive tropical rainforest vibe! Finally, a special shout-out to the chef who makes the laksa at the restaurant. I've forgotten their name, I think it started with a 'P' (seriously, I can't remember!), but their laksa is absolutely delicious!!! As for the room size, it's comparable to a standard budget hotel in China, but it's clean and tidy, and there's a direct drinking water tap, which is very handy for refilling water bottles!!!
This hotel is super close to Bugis MRT station, just a two-minute walk. The room facilities are a bit dated, but the room itself is significantly larger than other hotels in the same price range, showing its former glory. It's also very near the Sultan Mosque, so you can easily pop over for a visit.
I think we hit the jackpot with this hotel. Very thankful that we experienced all the positives for this hotel.

Clean. No ants nor bugs. Bedding and pillows also clean and no weird smells.
Very welcoming and polite staff at check in. She helped to distract my kids with some check in entertainment when she saw that they kept asking for my attention while I was trying to check in. Staff at Native Kitchen also very helpful and polite. They still gave a small discount even though we ate there after we checked out. Staff are also fast and efficient when we requested for more pillows.
Pool area (4 pools) is super pretty and my son had a great time playing 2 ball games in the pool during their entertainment hours. The Aqua Zumba (I think - unsure of the name) was also good and the instructor made every second fun! My girl and I loved dancing in the water to his music and moves!
Both noons also we had some free snacks courtesy of Village, at the reception area. These made my kids giddy with joy.
We were not celebrating anything but we saw reception pass out birthday favours for those that are. This is a plus point for me. It shows they make an effort.
What we don’t like:
Pool walking area is dirty in the late noon but can’t be helped as it got very crowded and it’s quite hard to clean the floor up with so many people around. Also, not enough chairs. We reached about 9am and majority taken up. We went back in the noon and also no seats. Do go early if you want to grab seats for your things. The rainfall water feature at the lazy river is also very strong pressure and might border on being painful or scary if you have young kids or are sunburnt. Some mould at lazy river walls too. Not a fan, but not something that ticks my no list.
Overall- definitely definitely definitely recommended. Room is small but you won’t be inside most of the time with so much to do in Sentosa.
The hotel room, location, and ambiance were all satisfactory. The pool is open until 9 PM, and the outdoor pool offers great views. The gym is open 24/7.
The only slight drawback was that we were traveling with two small children, and there are only stairs at the hotel entrance, making it impossible to pull our stroller up. We had to carry it every time. While the doorman's service attitude was excellent, we couldn't always find them when we needed help carrying things. This was the only minor inconvenience.
Just a 10-minute walk to Orchard Road MRT station, and the 'pickup only' items from the ION Orchard mall downstairs are absolutely delicious. The hotel is right by a bus stop, making for a seamless ride all the way to the National University, which was incredibly convenient. I'd definitely come back again. The location is truly unbeatable – just one stop away is the Newton Food Centre, where I tried the chili crab from stall #56, featured on 'Chef Nic', and the owner was really nice too. There's also a supermarket nearby that's perfect for buying snacks.
I had a great stay at lyf Funan Singapore. The biggest advantage is definitely the location. It is within walking distance of many popular attractions such as Clarke Quay, Merlion Park, Marina Bay, and the National Gallery. City Hall MRT is also just a few minutes away, making it very easy to get around Singapore.
The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus and a great way to start the day. The hotel is also connected to Funan Mall, so there are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops right downstairs.
Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, convenient hotel in a central location with free breakfast, I would definitely recommend

Overall, the room was quite small and the facilities were a bit old. The bedding was clean, no bugs or anything. However, it wasn't a duvet but more like a blanket made of a large bath towel material. Let's just say it kept me from getting cold while sleeping. The air conditioner was clunking loudly at first, but miraculously, it quieted down after I adjusted the settings – I guess I got lucky. My child left the travel adapter in the room. Several hours later, I went to the front desk, and despite my broken English, the lovely front desk staff found it for me. A quick registration and it was all sorted. The overall service was quite warm and welcoming. Staying one night was acceptable. Oh, and by the way, there's no wet/dry separation in the bathroom. If that's important to you, make sure to check before booking. Many hotels in Singapore don't have wet/dry separation, likely due to space constraints. It's within walking distance of Clarke Quay, which I recommend visiting at night – it's very close. It's also not far from the MRT station. If you're up for a walk, you can even stroll to Fort Canning Park.

The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were well-stocked. The bed was just the right firmness, and the soundproofing was good, so it was quiet at night, ensuring a high-quality rest. The front desk service was patient and efficient, responding promptly to any requests. The entire environment was clean and comfortable. It's suitable for both short layovers and longer stays, definitely worth recommending to everyone.

The room was nice and the surrounding area was very quiet! I stayed for several days, and on some of those days, my neighbors were Indian or Malaysian families with kids who made a lot of noise late into the night and started up again very early in the morning. However, the bedding was clean and comfortable, and the room design was sensible, making it look very tidy. Overall, it was a good check-in experience, though the check-out time of 12 PM was strictly enforced!
Aside from being a ten-minute walk to the MRT station, taking nearly an hour to get to Sentosa (walking plus MRT), and the AC blowing directly on my head, there aren't many downsides. The cleanliness was decent, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. My child mentioned seeing ants in the bathroom, but I'm nearsighted so I didn't spot them. There are many eateries nearby, including the famous frog porridge. In the mornings, you can even see several crates of large, vibrant green, lively frogs displayed outside their shop. If you accidentally disturb them, they all jump around.

I arrived well after midnight, completely exhausted after my trip. If you’re arriving at Terminal 3 late at night, I personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel because it isn’t the most convenient option after a long journey. However, if you’re arriving during the day or in the afternoon, I think it’s a good choice.
Unfortunately, I ran into a small issue in my room. The TV wouldn’t turn off because the remote control wasn’t working properly. One staff member initially seemed a little frustrated and focused on explaining the hotel’s procedures. At that moment, I was extremely tired, hot from Singapore’s humid weather, and honestly just wanted to get some sleep rather than discuss the situation.
In the end, the only solution was to unplug the TV from the power socket, which the staff helped me do. Once he realized that was the only way to turn it off, the situation quickly settled down.
Thankfully, after that, everything changed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I fell into a deep sleep almost immediately. The staff I met the following morning were also very kind, friendly, and helpful, which left me with a much better impression.
Overall, my stay had a rough start, but it ended on a positive note. If you’re arriving during the day, I think this hotel is a solid option. If you’re arriving at Terminal 3 in the middle of the night, though, you may want to consider a hotel that’s closer or easier to reach.e

Had an unpleasant experience with the parking as there was no complimentary parking and to make it worse, you had to park at level 2 to be eligible for the $10 overnight parking. Otherwise, the parking is a lot more expensive. We ended up paying $37. They should have put some notice to inform guests who need to park to go to level 2. Will not want to come back to stay anymore

I stayed in a club room this time, and the space was noticeably larger than hotels in a similar price range. The layout is expansive, not at all cramped, which is a rare find in land-scarce Singapore. The mini-bar, ironing facilities, coffee machine, and tea set were all comprehensive. The bathroom fixtures and amenities felt high-quality, and the oversized bathtub with bath salts was perfect for washing away a full day's travel fatigue.

A special shout-out to the Korean lady at the 38th-floor club; even though she didn't speak Chinese, she communicated meticulously in English with a constant smile, which was both elegant and warm.

The staff were incredibly friendly and approachable. I wasn't as good at English as I thought, and struggled with communication during check-in. However, they went above and beyond, using Google Translate to assist me thoroughly. Even the security guard near the parking lot patiently and kindly gave me directions when I asked. I also really appreciated the welcome snacks and the hotel's special chocolate drink I received upon check-in. Throughout my stay, I could also get drinks in a pineapple-shaped container in the lobby. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, which was great. The room had a coffee machine, and I loved the strong airflow of the hairdryer. The separate toilet and shower room was also a big plus! Adjusting the water temperature was easy too!
The location is excellent, with USS, the beach, and the nearest station all within walking distance.
However, I opted for a room with a good view, but it was nothing special at all. I really regret not choosing a cheaper room instead.
Also, the breakfast menu is a bit problematic. There's a lack of variety. There wasn't much fruit, and the menu itself was quite limited... Food is important!

Location is a bit remote, it takes at least 10 minutes on foot to get to the city and the MRT station. The hotel does provide a free shuttle bus, but it runs only about once an hour, seats are first-come, first-served, and the last bus departs as early as 7 something in the evening. So I couldn't really enjoy the free shuttle at all, since the times just didn't work for me. The room was clean and nicely designed. The staff at the buffet restaurant and bell service were friendly. However, check-in at the front desk was slow and the waiting time was long.
The location is ideal and easily accessible, near Funan IT mall and various shopping malls, as well as reachable by MRT and buses. The room is clean and facilities are complete, except that the air conditioner is centrally controlled and the room is still warm despite 23 degrees. Nonetheless, there is fan in the room to cool down. The lounge service is absolutely good. Overall, the hotel is recommendable.
Staying at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering for this trip to Singapore far exceeded my expectations! The building, like an urban oasis, is incredibly distinctive with lush greenery all around, offering a sense of tranquility amidst the bustling city. The location is superb, within walking distance to Chinatown and Clarke Quay, and incredibly convenient for subway travel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained; the rooftop infinity pool had an amazing vibe. All staff members were polite, thoughtful, and promptly responsive. The food was exquisite and delicious. Whether for leisure sightseeing or urban exploration, this is an incredibly worthwhile hotel choice in Singapore. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Singapore. Highly recommended!

Extremely close to Terminal 3, and you can walk to Terminal 1 or take the Skytrain – super convenient! The room was quiet, not affected by planes taking off or landing. The hotel environment is great, very clean, and the room was comfortable. They even have drinking water available directly from the tap. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. All in all, fantastic! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone making their first stop in Singapore to see Jewel Changi or for airport shopping!
The location is super convenient, within walking distance to Merlion Park, and a short bridge walk to Marina Bay Sands. The toiletries provided are excellent, large bottles of high-quality products. From the moment we arrived, the bellhop helping with luggage, to the staff guiding us through check-in, and even the email notification that our room was ready – the warmth and attentiveness were palpable. Plus, the breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of cuisines. I would definitely choose The Ritz-Carlton again for my next visit; it truly is a prime choice.
Front Desk: I booked four nights at Fullerton Hotel this time. As I booked quite late, the four days were split into three different reservations with two room types. Upon arrival at the front desk, we were greeted by a friendly lady with short hair and glasses. She was very helpful and actively tried to arrange a single room for us so we wouldn't have to switch, but due to the high occupancy, she couldn't make it happen. She informed us that we'd have to switch rooms after the first two nights, which we understood. A really great gesture was that this lady upgraded our room type for all four days. We had originally booked three nights in a Courtyard Club room and one night in a regular Suite. She managed to get us upgraded to Club rooms with impressive bay views. Especially on the second night, we stayed in a Loft Suite, which was huge and came with a terrace. We could sit on the terrace sofa and enjoy the bay night view and the Marina Bay Sands building. In the evening, the hotel even sent up champagne, chocolates, and fruit, which made my child incredibly happy! A big thank you to this short-haired front desk lady for giving us the opportunity to experience a better room type at the hotel! I won't comment on the other front desk staff; some seemed a bit aloof and haughty, haha!
Dining: The breakfast was comprehensive, with various Chinese, Western, and Indian options. My child particularly loved the laksa noodles and steamed egg custard, while I enjoyed the freshly made omelets. The old chef making the omelets was very versatile, speaking English, Chinese, and Japanese. I chatted with him, and he mentioned he used to be a Japanese chef. The omelets were delicious and could be loaded with many ingredients! Our room type included executive lounge access, but we were out exploring every day and only made it for afternoon tea once!
Room: The cleaning was meticulous, and we had turndown service every night. The bathroom was large, but the toothbrushes shed bristles, so we unfortunately had to buy two new toothbrushes from the 7-11 across the street.
Location: Unbeatable! You can tell from the photos. It's very close to Raffles Place MRT station, Marina Bay is right in front of you, and it's also a historic building. Just across the bridge is the Asian Civilisations Museum, and within walking distance are attractions like Clarke Quay and the Old Hill Street Police Station!
Overall Impression: The hotel had a lot of Western guests, and the service was Westernized, which was generally good! Finally, the hotel bill showed a charge of 26.98 SGD. I was in a hurry to leave and didn't check it carefully at the time. I only noticed the charge after returning home and wasn't sure what it was for, but since it wasn't much money, I didn't inquire further.
At 1 AM, the fire alarm went off due to a malfunction. I went down to the lobby in my pajamas to check with the front desk. Apparently, it was triggered by something at the neighboring shopping mall. The next day, when I tried to take a shower at night, the water supply was cut off. It was restored after about an hour and a half, but it was incredibly inconvenient. I chose this hotel because it was a bit more expensive, yet I ended up feeling so exhausted. As an apology, they offered a complimentary breakfast, but I couldn't sleep well because of the previous night's troubles, so I didn't eat much. It's a real shame because the room itself was renovated and very comfortable.
The hotel environment is beautiful, like a resort in the city center. My children absolutely loved the outdoor pool and splash facilities. When they learned that it was one adult and two children staying, they thoughtfully pulled out the sofa bed so there were three beds in the room. Although the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are very well maintained, and I'd give the hardware a high score. The breakfast quality also met my already high expectations, with a wide variety of choices and excellent quality. There's a shuttle bus every hour to the busiest part of Orchard Road.
However, in terms of service, I'm only giving a 3. My disappointment lies with the check-in process. When we arrived by taxi, there was no greeter. At the check-in counter, there were three queues, with about three families in each. I picked one and waited for about 20 minutes to be served. At the time, I thought the efficiency here was a bit low, and there wasn't the usual welcoming smile or a glass of water like in other four or five-star hotels. While I was thinking this, a female manager walked back from a distance, looked at me with a cold expression, and asked, 'Are you not queuing? Look, everyone else is queuing.' Her unreasonable and unfounded accusation made me feel embarrassed and offended. Was this a stereotypical prejudice against Chinese faces? I explained in English, but she remained noncommittal. Instead, the staff member who was actually checking me in and understood the situation said 'sorry' to me. In short, this female manager's arrogance and discrimination marred my good impression of the hotel. I hope she sees this review.
We stayed in the family room, and it was pretty good. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel very convenient, and the service attitude was great. The family room came with 3 complimentary breakfasts, and children under 12 could eat for free. However, I wouldn't recommend the hotel's buffet; the selection is limited, and it's very expensive. I suggest eating at the nearby food street instead.
The room was quite spacious; for Singapore, having a 2-meter king bed plus a large sofa by the balcony's floor-to-ceiling window that could also be used as a bed was great. The only downside was the drinking water provided came in glass bottles, which were inconvenient to open and unsafe if dropped on the floor, especially for families with children. Also, the check-in wait time was too long.
Our one king-size bed and one sofa bed comfortably accommodated our family of two adults and two children! The hotel staff were also excellent and very polite! The only drawback was that the soundproofing from the outside wasn't great; there was a lot of noise from the next-door room around 1 or 2 AM, which slightly affected our sleep. The hotel's pool was also very clean and comfortable for swimming!

A small incident occurred during our trip, which truly highlighted the hotel's professional and heartwarming service. We stayed at the Fairmont Hotel for our first stop, and then headed to Sentosa for the next part of our itinerary. After checking in at Sentosa and just as we were about to head to Resorts World, my child suddenly realized that their blue backpack, containing nearly completed summer homework, had been left on a sofa in the Fairmont Hotel lobby. The thought of losing all that hard-earned homework instantly panicked my child, and as parents, we were at a loss and quite flustered.
In this critical moment, with assistance from the Sentosa side, Atiq from the Fairmont's concierge team responded swiftly. He carefully verified and confirmed that both the backpack and the summer homework were intact. He efficiently coordinated the inter-hotel transfer, immediately arranging a taxi to deliver the lost bag to our Sentosa hotel as quickly as possible.
From locating the lost backpack, verifying information, coordinating communication, to the actual delivery of the item, the entire cross-location handling process took only thirty minutes. Atiq's exceptional efficiency and calm, professional crisis management left us both surprised and deeply touched.
Heartfelt thanks to Atiq for his dedicated efforts! The responsibility and commitment of the Fairmont Hotel staff made this overseas trip exceptionally warm and perfect. A definite 👍, highly recommended!
Arcadia Hotel was a total (pleasant) surprise. The price-quality ratio in Singapore is nearly unbeatable. The place is clean, functional, I had good sleep. The location amazing, with so many nice restaurants and bars in close proximity, including an MRT station. I took the breakfast option, which was tasty and totally satisfactory.
I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area!

The view from the window is just like a picture – choosing a riverside room was definitely a wise decision. You can see the Singapore River, its bridges, and Clarke Quay. Although the windows are sealed, the room's ventilation system is excellent; there's no stuffiness or strange odors. Singapore is humid, so I assume the sealed windows are to prevent the room from getting damp.
The location is central, offering a quiet escape from the city buzz while being incredibly convenient for transport. If you're traveling with elderly family members or children and need to take taxis, nearly every attraction is easily accessible from here. It's also fantastic for a leisurely stroll; the surrounding area has no super-tall buildings, just a historic and charming neighborhood. I absolutely love this kind of urban character.
The room, though small, has everything you need. While the room facilities and bedding might not quite meet five-star standards, and the single bed is a bit narrow, these are all acceptable given the numerous positives, haha! The front desk staff were lovely, and the buffet restaurant staff were very efficient. The egg pancake at the breakfast buffet was good, and dining outdoors was very pleasant. The room service staff were also quite decent. The bedding wasn't changed daily; during our three-day stay, they only emptied the bins and replaced the linen. As a traveler who enjoys immersing myself in local culture, this century-old building offers excellent value for money.
The Clan Hotel truly deserves a dedicated review, even from someone like me who rarely writes them. The hygiene is excellent, and our corner room had two massive windows. The metro station is right downstairs, and they provide complimentary snacks and drinks. While there's no bottled water, they offer a direct drinking water tap, tea cakes, and coffee. The front desk staff was incredibly nice; we checked in close to midnight and I left my phone at the front desk in a daze, but the lady kindly brought it up to our room. There's a small infinity pool on the 30th floor which is quite serene. I highly recommend this hotel for couples or families with older children exploring the city.

I specifically booked this hotel to attend a concert at Star Vista. It's only tens of meters away from the venue, so after the show, there was no need to rush back. The hotel room was very clean, equipped with toiletries and disposable slippers (though I'd recommend bringing your own for better comfort). The shower and toilet were separated, and the surroundings were very quiet, ensuring two nights of excellent sleep. The staff were friendly and could communicate in basic English. Since there was an available room, they allowed me to check in an hour early. Also, they didn't charge the 50 SGD deposit that Trip.com had warned me about. The housekeeping was very thorough; they even folded my pajamas neatly! 😃
