Located at Sentosa Island, Singapore Oceanarium is one of the newest underwater attractions in Singapore, offering visitors a chance to explore the wonders of the ocean through immersive exhibits and interactive experiences. It is a great place to escape the city heat while discovering fascinating marine life from different parts of the world 🌊.

For most travellers, taking MRT is the easiest and most budget-friendly option. You can take the MRT to HarbourFront MRT Station, then head to VivoCity and transfer to the Sentosa Express. Get off at Resorts World Station, which is within walking distance of Singapore Oceanarium.

🚕 By Taxi or Private Car

Singapore Taxi

If you’re travelling with family, carrying luggage, or prefer a more comfortable journey, taking a taxi or ride-hailing service is a convenient choice. Simply set your destination as Singapore Oceanarium or Resorts World Sentosa, and you’ll be dropped off near the attraction.

Several public buses also connect mainland Singapore to Sentosa. This option may take slightly longer, but it can be a good choice if you want to enjoy the scenery along the way.

💡 For Malaysians visiting Singapore, I personally find the MRT + Sentosa Express route the easiest option! It’s affordable, straightforward, and saves you from worrying about parking or traffic. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes because Sentosa involves quite a bit of walking! 👟

The hotel's location is excellent, close to restaurants and attractions. The rooms are also very refined and beautiful, and the hotel itself is lovely. The free first round of the mini-bar was a nice touch. While the facilities are great, the service falls short. To enter and exit Sentosa Island, you need a QR code, which they won't provide unless you specifically ask for it. On the first night, after dinner, I wanted to relax by the outdoor pool downstairs, but was immediately shooed away. They said the pool is open from 7 AM to 7 PM, and even just sitting there without swimming wasn't allowed. They immediately flipped over all the chair cushions. There's also no rooftop bar where you can relax (if there is one and I don't know about it, that's even more the hotel's fault). The second major issue was insects. The hotel had so many bugs, and I was covered in bites. The public restrooms were full of insects; I got at least four bites every time I used one... and there were bugs all around the pool too... it was so frustrating, and these were large, red, very itchy bites. Third, we were originally booked for a standard room but got upgraded to one overlooking the hotel garden. The room size and facilities were the same. However, every morning at 6:00 AM, there was construction noise. There's a banquet hall or similar room undergoing renovations downstairs, with drilling noises even at 10:00 PM. Then, at 7:00 AM, people start tending to the garden, with the sound of leaf blowers and cleaning. So, I keep wondering if it would have been better if we hadn't been upgraded? Wouldn't looking out at the cable car have been more beautiful? This is the only time I've ever been upgraded and wasn't happy about it. The soundproofing between the hotel rooms is quite good, though. On the last night, there were many people and children in the room next door, but I couldn't hear them once the door was closed. Also, the hotel refunded the deposit quite quickly. That's about it.

Hotel experience was good overall and I enjoyed the stay. However, I was disappointed with Trip.com’s “lowest price match” policy. Shortly after booking, I noticed the room price had dropped significantly on the app, but the compensation provided was minimal and did not reflect the lower price shown. It made the price guarantee feel quite misleading. The hotel itself was great, but the booking experience and after-sales support could definitely be improved.

The hotel staff service on check in is very good and room was upgraded from the deluxe suite to premium suite by the reception. Room is excellent and the facilities provided in the room is excellent. Super comfy bed mattress and slept very well. The hotel to the Genting Sentosa resort ****** is just within the same hotel building.

If you're visiting Singapore for a day trip to Universal Studios or S.E.A. Aquarium, or even doing both in one day, there's absolutely no need to stay at any hotel on Sentosa. It's much better to head back and stay in the city. I'd also recommend against staying at any Sentosa resort hotels even if you find taxis and self-arranged transport convenient. The hotels on Sentosa feel more like a commercial complex, with several hotels interconnected within what feels like a shopping mall, which honestly felt a bit strange and I wasn't a fan. Plus, the amenities in each hotel are incomplete, often requiring guests to share facilities. Before checking into this particular hotel, my expectations were quite high, thinking it would be excellent, but after staying, I found it to be very mediocre, even inferior to hotels in the city which offer a more luxurious feel and better service. Firstly, the hotel decor is quite dated. In the master bedroom bathroom of my suite, the drain pipe under the sink was leaking. I honestly couldn't even be bothered to complain or call for maintenance and just endured it for two days. Secondly, for a hotel with a relatively high price point, it surprisingly lacks its own independent breakfast restaurant, instead opting for a joint venture with an external commercial restaurant. Thirdly, the hotel service was very ordinary, nothing special – city hotels are simply better. Fourthly, the suite I stayed in was objectively very spacious, over 200 square meters, but the outdated decor meant it didn't feel particularly novel or impressive. In fact, a living room of that size in a 200-plus square meter suite is largely unused. I feel that paying this price to stay on Sentosa is primarily for the convenience of being able to immediately return to your room and rest after a tiring day of sightseeing. However, in reality, the value for money isn't great. So, for those visiting Sentosa for the first time, I highly recommend doing more research and analysis based on your own situation. If I had to choose again, I wouldn't stay on Sentosa; I'd probably still opt for a city hotel, even if it means an hour-long round trip by taxi.

This hotel is conveniently located in the center of the island, close to Universal Studios and other attractions, with a shuttle service that makes getting around very easy. The pool is in the villa area, and the water temperature is quite comfortable. While the overall architecture and interior furnishings aren't luxurious, the high ceilings and spacious rooms, combined with the mountain/sea views, make it very relaxing! The air conditioning was a bit noisy, but even after turning it off, the room stayed cool for up to 6 hours. I highly recommend it! Especially for families, it's a better option than staying in the city. The wide variety of nearby dining options is also a big plus.

A Wonderful Family Getaway at Equarius Villas Our stay at Equarius Villas was truly wonderful, especially as a family getaway. The villa was spacious, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. Both the room and the private pool were huge, providing plenty of space to relax and enjoy quality time together in complete privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we really appreciated the thoughtful selection of pillows, which allowed everyone to find their preferred level of comfort. The overall in-room experience felt luxurious yet cozy. The staff were outstanding — very helpful, professional, and impressively quick to respond whenever we needed assistance. A special mention goes to Kim, who was exceptionally attentive to our needs and promptly helped us resolve any issues. Her dedication and care truly made a difference and enhanced our stay. Overall, Equarius Villas offers an excellent blend of comfort, privacy, and top-notch service. This is a return visit on staycation. The hotel location, rooms, and front desk services were all still pretty good. However the pool conditions were awful. I understand that the pools are undergoing refurbishment. Regardless, the hotel should still accord best efforts in maintaining the best guest experience of the Far East hospitality brand and standards. The pool surroundings were unkempt. Almost all good hotels and resorts would dedicate an early morning effort to sweeping fallen leaves and organise the poolside furniture neatly. The towel guy simply waved at me to collect a towel while he remained seated without any greeting or service. Parts of the usable pool were cordoned off in ugly plastic tape, bits of masking tape remained stuck to railings, and worst of all, used clothing items were left hanging in full view. The gym equipment is poorly maintained and unkempt. This is just disgusting and atrocious for a 5 star hotel and embarrassing for a long time Singapore brand. When I provided feedback and showed photos taken of the terraced pool to the front desk upon check out from The Outpost, the staff acknowledged the issue and replied ”I will inform the VILLAGE Hotel to rectify it.” The guest doesn't need to know which hotel is accountable for maintenance of the shared pool facilities. They are both operated by Far East. The professional response would be for The Outpost to acknowledge the feedback and assure the guest that it would be looked into. FIX THIS. PLEASE.

We had a very enjoyable family stay at Village Hotel Sentosa. The hotel is very family-friendly, with a lively atmosphere and facilities that kept both adults and children happy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and practical for a short family getaway, and the overall design of the hotel felt bright and welcoming. One of the biggest highlights was the location. It was very convenient for exploring Sentosa, with easy access to attractions, dining options, and transport. This made travelling around with children much less tiring and stressful. The pool area was also a real plus for families, as the kids had a great time and it added to the holiday feel. The staff were generally helpful and pleasant, which made the stay smoother. Overall, Village Hotel Sentosa is a good choice for families looking for a fun, convenient, and comfortable staycation spot. We would be happy to return again.

I wasn't entirely happy with the price. I booked it for over 5000, but on the day of check-in, it was over 4000. Even though I had a refundable booking, there was a price difference of over 1000. I didn't even check at check-in... However, the staff were all excellent, from the front desk to room service, everyone was very welcoming. Hearing Chinese made me feel right at home! The room facilities are a bit dated. The toilet in my room was broken, but thankfully still usable... On the bright side, the snacks and drinks were complimentary, which was a nice touch. The hotel breakfast was good and suited a Chinese palate. I even wondered if it was run by Cantonese people because I saw the Big Rooster Bowl! For those heading to the island later, you can take the mini-train to the Bay Station, then switch to Bus B for two stops. Hope this helps!

I was impressed from start to finish with my Siloso Beach Resort experience. I arrived at Vivo City Harbourfront Station by train, suitcase in hand and was directed to the Sentosa Monorail on the top floor. There is a kiosk where I received my complimentary rail pass to Beach Ststion (last stop). Behind the train station is a free shuttle service which dropped me directly outside the Resort. Up to level 8 to complete my check-in which was conducted smoothly by the friendly desk team. They provided clear instructions for the ongoing use of monorail on the island and the free shuttle services around the island attractions. I received a cool upgrade and proceeded to my room which was clean and then refreshed each day. The location opposite the beach and a 7 minute walk to the train station which is surrounded by food outlets and stores to cater for your convenience. The team at Siloso Beach Resort enjoy their work and were always eager to assist with any enquiries, provision of umbrella or any guidance with onsite matters. The pool was fabulous with waterfall and slide for kids of all sizes. The place was quiet and well presented. I will be visiting again in the future.

Great stay at 5 stars Shangri-la Rasa, room and beds are clean. Twin rooms has bathtub + shower head above the bathtub which is a bit difficult for seniors. The walk to lobby for check in is upslope, alternatively can walk through the carpark and enter by the Sea Sports Centre gate, take lift to level 5. Part of Siloso beach is for hotel guest and has many cosy beach chairs. Spotted one adult peacock with two small peacocks in the evening hours. Breakfast spread is wide and good, can take away a cup of coffee or tea free. Many activities taking place on site too.

I was torn between this hotel and Capella when booking, but ultimately chose Raffles after seeing reviews that praised its stronger Nanyang (Southeast Asian) charm and newer facilities. The environment and amenities are excellent, truly beautiful, with peacocks and various birds roaming freely. However, the bedding isn't as comfortable as Capella's. The service, while mostly friendly, doesn't quite match the price. Some staff members seemed rather cold, perhaps due to my limited English, which is a communication issue, but it prevents me from giving a top rating. Everything else was fantastic, and the complimentary potato chips were especially delicious and a definite plus!

Overall, the experience was quite good. However, the air conditioning was too cold, and I ended up catching a cold when I returned to China. The room itself was quite spacious. The tea provided in the room was a relatively expensive Singaporean brand. The hotel isn't far from the beach, but you have to walk down a cliff to get there, so it's not super close, but a manageable walk. The sunset in the evening was absolutely beautiful, and the breakfast was also excellent; my kids loved it. All in all, this hotel offers great value for money. There are even peacocks freely roaming around the hotel grounds.

Had a very enjoyable stay at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. One thing I really appreciated was how cold and refreshing the air conditioning was, especially considering how hot the weather outside was. The location was also very convenient. The hotel provides a free shuttle service every 30 minutes to VivoCity, which made getting around very easy. There are also many restaurants within walking distance, along with supermarkets like Cold Storage and Little Farms nearby, so it was very convenient for food and daily necessities. Breakfast was enjoyable as well, with good variety and accommodating service. I especially appreciated being able to request a customized fried rice without soy sauce and gluten, which was a thoughtful touch for dietary preferences. Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing stay with great convenience and excellent service. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Pros: Very close to VivoCity, just across the road (though you'll need to cross a few traffic lights). Other than that, there's not much else to write home about. The biggest problem is the excessive noise! The sound of vehicles (likely motorcycles) on the road at night is incredibly 'refreshing' – I've never had trouble sleeping before, but I was woken up multiple times. If you're a light sleeper, definitely avoid this place. The bed is also very high, so it's not suitable for seniors with mobility issues. The design of the bathroom and shower doors is quite odd, and the soundproofing in the room is terrible. Flushing the toilet in the middle of the night creates a very loud noise, which is disruptive to anyone else in the room.

The room, as is typical for Singapore, was a bit small but very clean. Behind the hotel, there's a small hill perfect for a leisurely stroll, with a hiking trail that takes about an hour to complete. Right outside is a bus stop, and it's only three stops to VivoCity, making transportation very convenient. However, there aren't any hawker centers nearby, so you'll need to take a bus to find places to eat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to families looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.
