The hotel's location and surroundings are excellent. The only minor inconvenience was having to walk all the way around to access the garden downstairs; I'm not sure if we just missed a more direct entrance. On our second day in Tokyo, we experienced a typhoon with strong winds and heavy rain, but the soundproofing in the room was so good we couldn't hear a thing – it was incredibly quiet. I brought my parents to Tokyo, and we managed to snag a discount at the Imperial Hotel, booking two connecting rooms. It was a great experience to soak in the old-money vibe of this classic hotel.
The hotel facilities aren't brand new, but the stay was incredibly comfortable. Each room had a great view, with a table and chairs by the window perfect for enjoying the scenery. Although it's right next to the railway tracks, the soundproofing was surprisingly excellent. With the subway stopping at night, our sleep was completely undisturbed. Compared to most hotels in Tokyo, the room size was very generous, so two people didn't feel cramped at all.
The shower experience in the bathroom was particularly good, with a three-function rain shower head and ample water pressure, making showering a real treat. The hotel doesn't have self-service laundry, and the laundry service isn't cheap, but it's a reasonable price compared to hotels of a similar caliber.
The hotel is quite large, with several restaurants and shops inside, art installations everywhere, and carpets throughout, creating a wonderfully atmospheric place to wander around. The large fresh flower arrangement and chandelier at the main entrance, which might not look as stunning in photos, were still breathtaking to see in person.
The breakfast was very good. While the variety wasn't extensive, the quality was consistent and the taste was excellent. The service level was very high, with staff being both elegant and enthusiastic.
The location is a major highlight: a side exit leads directly to a lively food street, and it's just a 3-minute walk to Ginza for shopping. The main entrance faces Hibiya Park, with no shops obstructing the view around, making it very convenient for taxis. Overall, it's highly recommended for family trips.DariAU$ 462

It's been 10 years since I last visited Japan. Originally, I thought I'd have to stay in Ginza for some last-minute shopping before heading back. However, it turned out to be a small Golden Week in Japan, and even the ridiculously tiny 4-star hotels in Ginza were more expensive than this place.
After my travel companion and I stayed here, we regretted not having chosen it sooner. It's only a 20-minute drive from the city center, and there are plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. Most importantly, the rooms are spacious and the service is excellent.

Given its prime location, you can't expect both spaciousness and a cheap price. The value for money is decent.
However, the room felt stuffy and relied solely on the air conditioning, which created a stale smell, as if it had been closed up for a long time. I had to keep the AC on low. I'm unsure about the cleanliness of the duvet; my legs were incredibly itchy for the first half of the night. It only got better after I turned the AC much lower in the latter half.
One of the pillows had a strong, hard-to-describe oily head smell. There was also a noticeable accumulation of dust in some corners.
The service throughout was genuinely cold. Despite my fluent Japanese, there wasn't a single smile, which is quite unusual for Japan. Perhaps working in Ginza is truly exhausting. They didn't mention the complimentary beer and coffee that was advertised on Ctrip. Ms. Akiko at the front desk, this kind of service really isn't acceptable in the hospitality industry. Room and bed were very comfortable, immaculately clean and modern. 2 mins walk from train station, if you need lift access to train then a 6 mins walk, we had a stroller.
Breakfast was a bit of a zoo, we went during Christmas, very busy! But tables were spacious so even though there were so many people you don’t feel cramped. Good variety of food selection. We had dinner at the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant. Delicious, especially the tuna salad.
I found the lobby staff a little lack of personality, at check in, no mentioning of where breakfast will be, what time check out is. Just checked you in and that’s it, no personal notes in the room. When I expressed I’ve lost my phone at the shop in Tokyo, no sign of empathy (it was a western male staff) no gesture of helpfulness, very cold and robotic. This goes for concierge also, he is an older western gentleman, he needs to use Google translate also which is frustrating cause I could do exactly the same research with Google translate.
Overall, hardware is solid, need to fine tune the staff, sprinkle a little bit of personality in them.DariAU$ 540

The facilities are well-maintained, and both Chinese and English services are seamless. There's a complimentary gym and multiple restaurants on-site. The drawbacks include the hotel's age and the fact that the pool requires an additional fee. It's also a bit further from the central city shopping districts. We booked an executive floor room this time, and we were given one on the 37th floor. Breakfast can be enjoyed either on the executive floor or at the main restaurant on the 2nd floor.
The room size was excellent; it wasn't cramped for two people! We could easily open two or three 28-inch suitcases.
The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were L'Occitane. The shower pressure was also great~

Wonderful hotel that goes above and beyond for families traveling with children. From the child amenity kits and pajamas for our toddler to the crib and diaper pail for our infant we felt that every need was met which made for a really comfortable trip. The 7eleven in the hotel was the icing on the cake! We also were able to utilize the Poppins onsite daycare although this is run independently and you should book well in advance of your trip as only 1 day that we requested was available for booking. [HOSHINOYA Tokyo: A Vertical Ryokan Experience]
HOSHINOYA Tokyo offers a truly unique concept. It is a traditional Japanese ryokan built vertically within a modern skyscraper, located in the prestigious Otemachi district. It provides a serene, luxurious escape right in the middle of the bustling city, perfectly blending classic ryokan hospitality with world-class modern design. We enjoyed a wonderful three-day, two-night stay at the property from 29 May to 31 May. We chose not to make any meal reservations, which gave us the flexibility to simply relax and explore the surrounding city.
[Getting There]
We travelled from Fufu Hakone via a day trip to Enoshima and Kamakura. We took a direct train from Kamakura to Tokyo Station, followed by a short walk to the hotel, and arrived at around 8:00 PM. To make the transit completely effortless, our luggage was picked up and delivered directly to the hotel by LuggAgent on the same day.
[Arrival and Check-In]
The hotel is situated in the central business district and distinctly stands out from the surrounding buildings. The discreet entrance completely shields you from the busy streets. Upon entering, staff immediately store your shoes, as the entire tatami-matted building operates on a barefoot or socks-only policy. We were incredibly lucky to catch a traditional jap instrument performance, which is usually reserved for weekends. A designated staff member managed our check-in with welcome snack & tea and escorted us to level 15. A major highlight is the exclusive lounge on each floor, shared by only 6 suites. It functions as a private living room, fully stocked with complimentary seasonal teas, coffees, and traditional snacks.
[The Suite]
We stayed in the Sakura suite. Rather than trying to describe the beautiful layout in words, I will let my photos speak for themselves. The beds are low to the floor with a mid-level hardness that we found quite comfortable, and each bed comes with two soft pillows. There is also a television cleverly hidden behind a mirror, though it is worth noting that it only broadcasts Japanese channels. We kept it switched off to maintain the consistent traditional ryokan feel. The provided yukata is absolutely superb. It comes as a full set complete with an inner layer, an outer layer, socks, and a small handbag. The material is soft, stretchy, and incredibly comfortable for lounging and walking around the property.
[The Top-Floor Onsen]
Having a natural hot spring in central Tokyo is a rare luxury. The onsen is located on the 17th floor and features a stunning design where the roof is open to the sky. As cameras are strictly prohibited, you will have to visualise it or check the hotel website for gallery photos. I understand that the bath is a salty hot spring containing a high concentration of seawater and seaweed minerals trapped deep in the ground. Soaking in this soothing water gently embraces the skin and helps alleviate fatigue in both body and mind. The onsen is open daily from 3:00 PM to 11:30 AM. It was the absolute perfect way to warm up and recharge before we headed out for a busy day.

I’d wanted to stay at this hotel for a long time and loved the idea of a traditional-style hotel right in the heart of Tokyo. The staff were very friendly, and I was happy to get a room on a higher floor as I had requested.
The room itself was very small and felt a bit outdated. For this price range, I expected a little more. However, the window — definitely the highlight of the room — offered an incredible view of the city.
The onsen was quite small, but wow. Being able to relax in an outdoor bath right in the center of Tokyo while looking out at the city was an amazing experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Onyado Nono Asakusa. The hotel has a beautiful traditional Japanese atmosphere, and I really liked the tatami flooring throughout the property. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The onsen was definitely one of the highlights after a long day of walking around Tokyo. I also loved the little complimentary touches, especially the late-night ramen and ice cream after the onsen!
The location is very convenient for exploring Asakusa and is within walking distance of Senso-ji and many restaurants and shops. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel felt peaceful and relaxing.
The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely stay at Onyado Nono Asakusa again on my next trip to Tokyo. Highly recommended!DariAU$ 177

This is our second time staying here. The hotel is right next to the Ariake Garden mall, practically seamlessly connected. There are plenty of dining options upstairs and shopping is very convenient. Downstairs, there's a large Aeon supermarket, and right outside its exit, at platform 1, you can catch the bus to Haneda Airport. There's also a big Muji store nearby. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Ginza from its basement level. While the hotel is situated between two subway lines, neither is too far away, making this location excellent value for money. From the station's third floor, there's a direct walkway leading to an elevator that takes you straight to the hotel's 4th-floor front desk. It's incredibly convenient. Nearby, you'll find the Apple Factory and the Nebuta Museum, and downstairs there's a department store for shopping and dining. A highlight of the hotel is its hot springs, and they also offer some yoga activities, though we didn't participate as we don't speak Japanese. Guests can enjoy the hot springs for free, and female guests are personally escorted into the bathing area by staff, which feels very safe. After a soak, you can grab an ice cream or head to the observation deck to enjoy the view with some crackers and apple juice – a truly leisurely holiday experience. The room was comfortable and quiet with ample space for luggage, offering city views and a glimpse of the ocean bridge. The scenery at sunset was particularly beautiful. The location of this hotel is simply unbeatable, right next to Tokyo Station. You don't even need to go above ground; there's a dedicated hotel elevator in the Otemachi exit underground, which is incredibly convenient. However, if you're transferring to other subway lines, expect about an 8-minute walk for most of them. Also, a heads-up: the front desk is on the 7th floor, but there's a hotel sign on the ground floor for taxi drop-offs.
Since the hotel is right by Tokyo Station, you have easy access to all sorts of food, drinks, and shopping, which is why I didn't bother with the hotel breakfast. I could sleep in every day and try different local delicacies. Even the FamilyMart convenience store had amazing food options.
It's an older hotel that was renovated last year, but the facilities are complete, clean, and comfortable. What I particularly liked was the shower setup; unlike some hotels where you shower inside the tub, here they have a separate shower space next to the tub. This design makes the bathroom feel quite spacious, even if the room itself is on the smaller side. I've seen this kind of bathroom design in other Japanese hotels too, so I wonder if it's a common feature in local accommodations.
The front desk staff spoke good English, and I was very satisfied with their luggage storage and early check-in services. Plus, you need your room card to operate the elevators, which adds to the security.
I was out and about from morning till night, so I didn't get a chance to experience the restaurant or bar, but overall, the value for money is high. Perched atop this magnificent skyscraper, Aman Tokyo, which stunned the world a decade ago, remains an unparalleled benchmark for modern city hotels.

We had a wonderful stay at The Blossom Hibiya! The hotel is in a very convenient location, just a short walk from Shimbashi Station and close to Ginza and Hibiya.
The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with an amazing city view. The lobby and lounge were also lovely, and the staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful throughout our stay.
We especially enjoyed the breakfast—it had a great variety of Japanese and Western options, and everything was delicious.

I visited Tokyo with my 88-year-old father. The hotel’s location is arguably the absolute best, making it incredibly convenient to visit Tokyo’s major attractions. The hotel facilities were also highly satisfying. First and foremost, the amenities in the guest room were excellent, and the thoughtful accessibility considerations for the elderly or infirm gave us great peace of mind. For instance, the provision of a bath chair with a backrest was very impressive. The hygiene and meticulous housekeeping were of the highest standard. Furthermore, the non-slip mat provided in the bathroom clearly reflected a deep consideration for the guests' specific needs. All of this, of course, is a testament to the staff’s proactive service and attentive care.
If there was one minor disappointment, I wish a wider variety of pillows had been available in the room. In this regard, I felt it fell slightly short of meeting guests' diverse preferences. Additionally, as a helpful suggestion for safety, designing bathroom doors to open outward to facilitate emergency access in case of an accident inside is a fundamental design principle for luxury hotels. While preventing accidents altogether is ideal, being fully prepared for emergencies is what sets the highest standard of excellence.
On another note, despite the hotel being located within a major railway station, there was absolutely no noise. The soundproofing was truly remarkable. The breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection, beautifully balancing traditional Japanese cuisine with Western options. While ordering a more unique or specialized beverage took a bit of time, the quality and taste were highly satisfying. The other facilities, particularly the restaurants and cafes, were exceptionally calm, elegant, and quiet, providing a very pleasant experience. The food, of course, tasted excellent. However, you must ensure you have ample time to enjoy it; it can require a significant amount of time and patience before the food is served in front of you.
Overall, our experience was exceptionally satisfying and wonderful. With its rich historical background and narrative, the hotel offered a deeply engaging and far from boring stay.DariAU$ 916

Stayed for four nights and was very satisfied. The front desk staff spoke good English and were friendly. The room wasn't small for Tokyo, and the booth seating was very convenient. This was my very first visit to Tokyo, and staying at Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo was an absolute privilege. From the front lobby to room service and the Club Lounge, I was deeply moved by the incredible hospitality and kindness of every single staff member.
Coming to Tokyo without knowing much about the city, I couldn't have picked a better location. It provided seamless access to all the places I wanted to visit, including Ginza, Tokyo Station, the Imperial Palace, Azabudai Hills, and Shibuya. On top of that, the vibrant izakayas surrounding the hotel were so inviting that I wished I could visit them all.
Without a doubt, I will choose this hotel again for my next trip to Tokyo.

The room was a bit old but reasonably well-maintained, and the cleanliness was okay. However, the automatic flush on the bidet toilet was very dirty, so I didn't use it. Also, I stayed for 4 nights, and while my child's bed didn't have bugs, on my first night, I felt something like dust mites jumping on me. After 4 nights, I had about 8-9 bites around my waist and stomach. I was really unhappy about this; I suspect it was bed bugs due to the old age of the mattress and duvet inserts. The picture is after applying mosquito balm, so the redness has gone down a bit; originally, they were red and raised.
On the plus side, the toiletries were L'Occitane, and the airport bus stop for the return journey is just a 3-minute walk across what I assume is the southern road to the main bus terminal. There's a new Lawson across the street, and a 7-Eleven just a few steps away. Two drugstores are within a 5-minute walk. The subway entrance downstairs is convenient for going to Disneyland. For other places, you generally have to walk about 8 minutes to another Hibiya Line station to get to Shibuya, Akihabara, and other areas.DariAU$ 344

Instead of clearing the room, the housekeeper consistently left trash behind after cleaning. Day1 The housekeeper actually stuffed a piece of paper waste into the room card slot. Day 2 The trash remained unclean.

The service was great until checkout, we called the front desk asking for late checkout arrangements and the staff agreed to delay the checkout time to 11:30am. They took quite some time and some more customers were queuing behind us for check out. When it came to our turn, the female staff immediately changed her smile to poker face and accused us for being late as the time was already 11:40am even though we clearly arrived earlier than that.
