a great stay at Meru suites. huge rooms, friendly staff that will go the extra mile for a service for customers. great team, clean rooms as well. Quiet at night making it a wonderful stay. Only downside is the location as it is situated a 15mins drive away from town, but for such a wonderful stay I would not mind to come back here again.

Beautiful hotel with modern technology such as face recognition to access the lift and rooms. Unfortunately, during our stay the system did not work properly. Out of the three of us, only my son couldn't use the face scan to enter the lift, but he could scan to enter the room. Meanwhile, my daughter and I could not use the face scan to open the room door. When we checked with the receptionist who handled our check-in, she mentioned it was a technical issue, but she did not seem very welcoming or helpful. We were staying in room 3021B. After about two hours, the room became very warm. When we called reception, they said the room would take time to cool down because it is a big room. A technician came to check as well and said the same thing. However, this information was never explained to us earlier. The first night was very uncomfortable due to the warm temperature, and at 4am I had to go down to the reception to make a complaint. Only the next day, on 28/3 around 6pm, we were able to change the room to 4021B. On the second day, a staff member named Hanis was very friendly and helpful, which we truly appreciated. When we moved to room 4021B, I informed the concierge who helped us move our luggage that the front corridor light was not working. It seemed like this issue was not followed up, as the light was still not fixed (as shown in the photo). At that point, I did not bother to raise it again. Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful and has impressive technology, but the lack of communication between departments and inconsistent service was disappointing.

We had a wonderful stay here! We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The room was very clean and well-equipped with a full kitchen, a comfortable living room, and a smart TV with access to Netflix, Prime, YouTube and more. The staff were all very polite and welcoming, and both the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free. The location was also perfect, with many places nearby and easy access to get around Ipoh. The area was quiet as well, which made our stay very relaxing. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again if we visit Ipoh in the future!

I recently stayed at The Stallionz in Ipoh, and it was a pleasant surprise. As a very new property, it definitely has that ”fresh” feel and modern aesthetic that's hard to beat. The Good (Exceeded Expectations) • Immaculate & Modern: Since the building is very new, everything from the lobby to the rooms felt pristine. The design is sleek and far more ”premium” than I expected for the price point. • Top-Notch Facilities: The common areas and pool are standout features. They’ve clearly put effort into making the place ”Instagrammable” and comfortable for a chill staycation. • Convenience: Great location in the heart of town, making it easy to grab food or head out for sightseeing. Things to Note While the stay was mostly great, there were two small issues that guests should be aware of: • Bathroom Ventilation: One downside was the lack of an air ventilation system (exhaust fan) in the toilet. This can make the bathroom feel a bit stuffy/humid after a shower, so you might need to leave the door open to air it out. • Room View (Lower Floors): I stayed on the 2nd floor, and there was almost no view to speak of. If you’re someone who values a city or mountain skyline, I’d highly recommend requesting a unit on a higher floor (Level 10 or above) to really enjoy the surroundings.

I forgot to take photos but trust me, I think this property is new, so it is very clean, everything looked new, not crowded at all, check in process also very simple, no deposit needed. Room is very cozy and comfortable. You may get confused upon arrival but the security guards are helpful and able to communicate in English. I enjoy staying here very much!

The hotel has a beautiful view, convenient location, and a clean, fresh lobby. The shower pressure is strong, the room is spacious, and the service is excellent. Most importantly, it's dust-free, gets plenty of sunlight, and the mattress is soft.

Hotel exterior and rooms seems to have some update. Room is quite clean, shower water pressure is good, staff is friendly. Only issue I had was there seems to be some hair oil smell on the pillows, I used a disposable face tower to lay over it to minimize the smell, just a 1 night stay so didn't make a fuss abt it.

The hotel's location is great, the beds are comfortable, and there are many restaurants nearby. Fushan Teahouse is just behind it, and there's a convenience store downstairs. Getting a taxi is also easy. The only downside is the Wi-Fi signal isn't very good; I hope they can improve that.

This is my second stay and I’ll say this hotel is good to stay. I think the hotel actually set their aircon timer that’s why we felt so stuffy during midnight time. We heard there were hotel guests complained about their aircon too.

I researched a lot of hotels in Ipoh. Most hotels are spread out around the Ipoh “downtown”. If you’re arriving on a bus from KL, the bus terminal Amanjaya is 9km away. 20 mins on the local bus will take you to Terminal Kidd and it’s a 15 mins walk to M Boutique. I wouldn’t suggest this option if you have a lot of suitcases as the walk is on the main roads with cars and truck zipping past. Location is surrounded by industrial and car dealerships, but once arrived you’re surprised! They live up to their name - Boutique! They have been in that location for 13 years. Staff are friendly and helpful! Room (single room with no windows) was clean and comfortable and provided the amenities after a long day on the bus. And the hotel - SMELLED nice. Like a high end hotel. It was a nice treat if you’re a solo traveler looking for comfort on a budget. I tried to extend an extra night, however Trip were only showing double and twin rooms - out of my budget for a solo traveler. Asking at reception if the single room was available, they checked and I paid directly to hotel for a 2nd night. Your loss Trip! Hotel amenities were great. Hot shower, WiFi and air conditioning working. It’s a 10-15 min walk to the old city. When I arrived around 4 PM, a lot of things are already closed and quiet. Walking around in the dark back to the hotel was a little uneasy, but you can easily just arrange a car to GRAB. Highly recommended!

The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was clean and tidy. The scenery was beautiful and the location was also very convenient 😊 Overall, my stay was very satisfying. The only minor drawback was the limited number of power outlets in the room, which I hope can be improved in the future.

The room is clean. The service is good. Foor is ok. Not too many variety but it's enough for my family. Just one matter - I extended my stay by one night. So, I book another night from Trip.com but there is no functionality to extend my stay and so I did a new booking for 1 night for two rooms for my family. I was asked to pay the same amount of local tax again. Maybe the hotel can look into this and help customer to avoid this local tax in the event we extend our stay or probably the local tax should be lower for one day extension?

Good Budget Stay in Ipoh After a long drive, I chose Ritz Garden Hotel Ipoh for a short rest. The hotel is centrally located near Ipoh city and heritage attractions. Early morning check-in was smooth, and the staff were helpful in guiding parking at the back of the building. The lobby looks nice, and free parking is provided via an internal sky bridge. The room was clean with no unpleasant smell. Although there was no window and soundproofing was average, the lighting, air conditioning, and bed were comfortable enough for a good rest. The bathroom was clean with good hot water pressure. Heated water and drinking water were provided for coffee, along with complete basic toiletries. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but facilities like a swimming pool and gym are available. Karaoke facilities did not disturb the stay. Overall, a good value-for-money option for budget travelers or short stays in Ipoh.

Here’s a polished, warm version you can send—friendly, appreciative, and clear 🌷 (I kept your original points, just smoothed the flow and tone.) ⸻ The hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast was nice, with a good variety of vegetables for the salad. The Singapore-style bihun goreng was so yummy! However, the rice for the nasi lemak tasted a little bit unusual. My kids really enjoyed the cereal, bihun goreng, bread with jam, and the pastries. Plus, near the hotel, there were plenty of restaurant and kiosk options around the Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah area. At night, you can rent bicycles, buggies, and other vehicles to ride around the roundabout—it was so much fun! There was even a small train, which the kids absolutely loved. In the morning, after our wonderful breakfast, my kids and I went back to the roundabout for a brisk walk and spent some time at the playground. It was really enjoyable and a great way to start the day. I would also like to send my appreciation to Trip.com customer service. The staff responded to my issue promptly and truly tried their best to resolve it. I’m very happy and grateful for the support from Trip.com. Keep up the great service!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and genuine smiles that immediately made me feel welcome. The room was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. Every detail — from the cozy bed to the well-maintained amenities — reflected thoughtful planning and a high standard of service. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The staff deserve special recognition for their professionalism and attentiveness. They were always courteous, helpful, and quick to assist with any request, making the entire stay seamless and enjoyable. The facilities were excellent and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel created a sense of comfort and exclusivity. Whether for leisure or business, this hotel truly delivers a top-tier experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, quality service, and a memorable experience. I look forward to returning again in the future.

I stayed here many years ago and had a pretty good experience back then. However, my recent visit was a huge disappointment, especially regarding the cleanliness. We booked two rooms, and the kids complained about lots of hair on the beds. The bathrooms also had a foul smell. In our room, the air conditioning wouldn't get cold even when set to 16 degrees, and the wooden panel next to the toilet was moldy and damaged. What was most unbearable was the strong cigarette smoke smell throughout the entire floor, which even seeped into our room. This was a truly disappointing experience, and I likely won't choose to stay here again.

For security purposes, Hotel only provide 1 access card for room and lift service. This created a little bit non-convenience for us, when we wanted to collect something from our car which required us to unplug the room access card from room and went down to the car park. We request an extra card from receptionist staff and was rejected by them. Breakfast provided was reasonable with no negative feedback. Overall was good, except room cleanliness need some improvement.
