Like: location is perfect, lots of good restaurants around within walking distance. Dislike: be aware of what street the room facing. It’s loud at night, ppl talk and laugh can hear very clearly. Services: overall are good, I’ve been staying meriton many times in many locations, but this one Meriton on Kent was disappointing. I’ve asked baby amenities before my trip start but never got any as they promised they’ve been noted and prepared. Special note: at the checked in they gave us a small room facing loud street and construction site( we booked a higher price of room and staying 5 nights)。 They had originally agreed to change our room. However, due to a communication gap among the staff the next day, it took quite a long time to resolve the misunderstanding before the room change was finally completed. *the cafe next to Meriton has the best fresh squeeze juice ever, we bought it every morning! And the muffins are my babies favorite!

I booked the cheapest twin room on the 26th floor, offering a direct view of the Bell Tower from above. The room was incredibly spacious, probably over 50 square meters, and even had a bathtub. While the furniture was quite basic, the front desk service was absolutely excellent. I also visited the gym. The building itself is a former Sydney Post Office, so many people come to take photos. There are even two free daily tours about the building, but I didn't have time to join. Overall, staying here was a great experience. It definitely gave off a 'old money' vibe.

I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour. From the moment I arrived, everything was well taken care of. The room was clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed, with a great view of Darling Harbour. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants, attractions and transport options within easy reach. The hotel itself has a very welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly, professional and attentive throughout my stay. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and was very happy with my choice of hotel. It was a comfortable and memorable stay, and I would definitely consider staying at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour again on my next visit to Sydney.

I arrived at the hotel at 10 AM for an early flight, and to my surprise, they already let me check in! This is the first time in dozens of international trips that I've been able to check in so early, which left a fantastic first impression. I booked for four nights. There was a construction site right opposite my room. For the first two nights, which were the weekend, they only worked during the day, so my sleep wasn't disturbed. However, on the third day, a weekday, to my utter disbelief, this thundering Sydney decided not to do construction during the day in the CBD, but instead worked all night long!!... I couldn't sleep a wink and called the front desk to ask for a room change. So, for the last night, they even upgraded my room type. Overall, the hotel's location is excellent, within a 15-minute walk to most popular spots, and not far from Circular Quay. The building's architecture strongly resembles the Wukang Building in Shanghai, which gives it a familiar and comforting feel. All the staff were incredibly friendly and kind. If I visit Sydney again, I would definitely choose to stay here!

I had an excellent stay at Hyatt. It’s definitely one of the best choices if you’re looking for comfort and convenience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the staff were professional and very welcoming. The location is a big advantage—everything you need is nearby, including restaurants, shops, and transport options, which makes getting around very easy. The overall experience was smooth and relaxing, from check-in to check-out. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location. Central to circular quay and darling harbour. Very close to wynards train station. Although on a steep road it’s not too far to walk from York street. Everything about the hotel was spotless from having the doors open everytime you entered or left the hotel. The only disappointment for us was the breakfast. We felt for what you are paying for the food wasn’t value for money. All in all a very nice hotel and would reccommend.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right in the bustling heart of the city. Many attractions are within walking distance, including Hyde Park, and you can easily reach the Sydney Opera House on foot or by public transport. The breakfast selection is incredibly diverse, and they even offer coffee in disposable cups to take away, plus a wide variety of fresh fruit. Check-in was handled in a very friendly and professional manner, and it was super fast. Compared to other hotels and apartments during our Australia trip, this one offered exceptional value for money. The bed was also very large, making it quite family-friendly. After checking out, we realized our child's plush toy was left behind. When we returned, the staff were incredibly friendly and patient, helping us find it and even packing it up for us. All in all, you can't go wrong choosing this hotel for your Sydney stay, but I'd recommend booking about a month in advance for the best rates.

The hotel's amenities are really subpar; it's nothing like a 4-star hotel. Sofitel properties in China are much better configured. I stayed at their hotels in Sydney and Gold Coast this trip, and I definitely won't be staying with this brand again. The bathroom sink was like something out of a hostel – small, single basin, and so low and shallow that when you wash your face or hands, water splashes all over your waist and stomach. We arrived quite late on the first day, and the air conditioning wasn't central, it was very noisy, and the fridge also made a lot of noise. Plus, we were at the end of a hallway. I contacted Ctrip customer service; we couldn't switch rooms on the second day, but they moved us on the third. However, in the new room, the toilet seat didn't have a soft-close mechanism, so it would either slam shut or just fall down. The towels were placed on a tiny shelf – I don't know if that's a deliberate design choice by the hotel? Anyway, it's hard to put into words… all the rooms are at the end of hallways. I absolutely will not stay at any Sofitel brand hotels again… This is my second time in Australia this year, and it's winter, the off-season. Hotel prices were higher than what I booked in February, and my experiences in Gold Coast and Sydney were disappointing… Cairns was even worse, essentially a hostel-level hotel by Chinese standards, with twin beds less than 1 meter wide each… When booking a hotel, it really has to be an international brand, but Sofitel is a chain, and the one in Sydney was truly bad…

If you have any standards, I honestly wouldn't recommend staying here. It's clearly an old building converted into a hotel, and the renovation is basic. The window glass isn't very soundproof; you can still hear traffic outside even when the windows are closed. Cleanliness is lacking; there were several hairs on the bathroom floor. However, the staff were polite and immediately arranged a room change once they understood the situation. The hotel's location is genuinely excellent. It's incredibly convenient to walk to both Darling Harbour and QVB.

Booked a twin room with breakfast (including breakfast for two children) through Trip.com. The front desk initially claimed there was no breakfast, then gave us a room on the lowest floor. When checking out, it was pouring rain, and we had a ton of luggage, plus elderly and children. The concierge not only didn't help with an umbrella, but was also hesitant about lending one for us to get to the car. I called the hotel's customer service through Trip.com, and the breakfast issue was resolved. As for the other 'software' aspects, it's really an issue of quality for an old five-star hotel. Chinese guests booking through Trip.com likely face discrimination and difficulties at this hotel. The location is on the row closest to the Opera House, facing the Harbour Bridge in the front and the Botanic Garden in the back. The surroundings are right in the heart of the tourist hustle, but I personally prefer the garden view side. Breakfast is purely Continental, a la carte.

The hostel is a lot smaller than expected, I was shook upon arrival. Fortunately the rooms are large enough with ample sized pods. Shower stalls are designed well with a sectioned space for putting clothing/phone and there is toilet seat sanitizer in the bathroom. It’s not the most quiet hostel but the bathrooms and rooms are cleaned daily which was nice. One thing to note, when coming from the airport, I suggest to use a bus service instead of taking the train if you have luggage, because the nearest train station (Museum station) is old and has two long staircases. Because of this I took a DART bus to the airport on the day I left, they offer hotel pickups but it needs to be reserve online 24 hours ahead of time- otherwise the closest pickup spot is right in front of the Vibe Hotel on Goulburn street, which is a very short walk from the Pod Sydney.

But the sink in the toilet is relatively narrow, and washing your face often makes the floor full of water. The table can be checked-in at three o'clock. When the time arrived, there was still no key in the post box. Later, they called and replied that they had not cleaned it. The hotel is very close to the train station and the service is excellent. We had to ask the front desk to change rooms in the middle of our stay because of noisy neighbors, and they quickly moved us to a higher floor. Booked a deluxe one-bedroom twin apartment. The room design was nice, but the twin beds were quite narrow. The fridge was empty, not even basic coffee or milk was provided. I had requested a river view and a higher floor to celebrate my daughter's birthday, but not only did the hotel fail to provide it, they didn't even politely explain why. There were also no birthday amenities or greetings. The next day, I called customer service hoping for some milk and also mentioned the birthday issue. She only said ”sorry, the room couldn't meet the request” and that for birthdays, they only offer a ”sprinkle” (I assume she meant something like a complimentary drink or small gesture, but the original text is a bit unclear here, and it seems like it wasn't provided). In the end, she didn't follow up on it either. This left us with an impression of unfriendliness; the customer service attitude was rather cold and unwelcoming. Compared to other five-star hotels, the service quality here was quite disappointing. Additionally, the hotel has very few facilities apart from the gym. The hotel's location is also a bit inconvenient and it's not easy to hail a taxi. On the positive side, a gentleman working at the lounge downstairs had excellent service, was very polite and friendly, and took great care of guests. The food there was also very good. 👍🏻

The room was incredibly spacious, the bed super comfortable, and the linens were top-notch. The front desk staff were very nice, and the WiFi was fast. The view was amazing! Right outside the north exit, you can stroll along the Yarra River to the sounds of beautiful music – it was incredibly chill. If you exit the south door and cross the street, you'll find a 7-Eleven, McDonald's, a great brunch spot, and a steak restaurant. Inside the hotel, there's KFC, Japanese, Thai, Italian, and Chinese restaurants, plus a food hall with lots of delicious and affordable Chinese options that stay open late. We even had some warm Singapore Laksa after coming back from the Great Ocean Road. Taxis are also convenient; the taxi stand is right in front of the waterfall lobby. Many day tour pick-ups are here too, so coming back late isn't a safety concern as you step right into the hotel. Public transport is also good, with tram lines 85 and 96 very close by, and Flinders Street and the Cathedral within walking distance. I feel like I made the right choice! We booked a King Standard hotel for this trip as we have the special rate from Trip.com. Before we arrived we received an email from Trip urging us to write an email to ask for early check in as we also booked an airline ticket thru Trip. When arrived in hotel ard 9.45 am we were offered a room ( with immediate availability ) but with a payment of AUD 50. When I asked for a twin bed room as usually King and Twin Bed will have same rate, but not this hotel. If we were to change the bed style we have to pay AUD 30/night for 5 nights 😅😅another AUD 150. Enough for all the morning communications so we just ignore the bed details and went straight to our room after the payment. On the day we checked out we came to know that the front officer recharged our hotel fee even when Trip.com confirmed that everything was fully paid. What a money maker hotel!! Front officer told us they will refund us the amount though. However the room is small and nice and everything was up to international 4 standard but Crown Casino Tower has a much more beautiful and bigger room. I recently stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment and was generally satisfied with my experience. Upon entering the room, I noticed the bedroom fan was already running, which seemed unusual given it was winter. After checking the air conditioning, I discovered the control panel wasn't working. I contacted reception, and a technician was promptly sent to inspect the issue. The technician confirmed that the air conditioning was not operational. Customer service handled the situation well by personally escorting me to a different apartment, which turned out to be a spacious 2-bedroom unit. This was a thoughtful gesture and was greatly appreciated as an apology for the inconvenience. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and was pleased with how the staff resolved the issue. However, the situation could have been avoided if the room had been properly checked before being assigned to a guest. Ensuring that essential appliances are functioning prior to check-in would help prevent similar inconveniences in the future. Despite this oversight, I appreciated the prompt response and excellent customer service provided by the team.

The Crown business district is full of food, shopping and casinos. There are many supermarkets in the downstairs for a minute or two. You can buy food and cook, and provide daily living supplies. Very convenient. Room facilities: The hotel is a bit like a homestay. In a comprehensive apartment. You need to swipe the magnetic card to get in and out, which is relatively safe. The overall space is large, but both bedrooms are 1.5 meters small beds. The kitchen has pans, cutlery, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a dishwasher. But there is no seasoning. Cooking a light meal should be OK. Due to the folklore nature, there is no daily cleaning service. There is a swimming pool in the building. Parking charges, $ 25 a day. Just come in and out. Friends who drive are highly recommended. City parking is too expensive. It's a good deal to take a taxi. Disadvantages: 1. Give Ctrip. When booking, it was not marked clearly, I thought there was a hotel with a front desk. Stupidly arrived and found out that it was a homestay type. The current homeowner couldn't get through to the phone, and there was no place to stop and jump straight. Later, the host came and said that Ctrip only told us to check in at 5 o'clock, and did not give the host the contact information, so he was not prepared. Check-in at five is my time for Ctrip, but we flew from Brisbane, that is only approximate time. If Ctrip protects my personal privacy, I will not give the owner contact information, but at least I have to contact me Tell me how to check in, let me contact the owner in advance! !! 2. The overall health of the room is ok, but the smell is really bad. It feels like a guest cooking too much. Hope you can do a good job of ventilation.
