Dalat Palace Heritage Hotel It’s true that the last time we stayed at the Dalat Heritage Hotel was years back. It had a different name then too, when it was, we believe, under a different management. The place was beautiful, with vanished wooden floors, beds with canopies and bath tubs on steady golden legs. Golden taps and fresh looking bathroom tiles. Most importantly, it was clean, the cushioned chairs felt firmed, the rooms & bathrooms brightly lit. It was an equivalent if not better than the Raffles in Spore. We decided in our latest trip to stay at the now Dalat Heritage Hotel for two nights, 23 & 24 July 2025 . We learnt that it had changed hands and while we expected it to have aged, we thought most hotel managements, would have done some upgrade, some renovation some replacements of essentials. Sad to say, our stay was a tremendous let down. I’m trying not to use the adjectives “traumatising experience” and will not offer photos, so that the hotel has an opportunity to spruce it up and bring it to its former glory. The property has too much potential & history to be abandoned by visitors to Dalat. We stepped into a an old, tired looking lobby. Waited a long time to register and was told to expect welcoming drinks which never came. We girls had to use the “ladies. ” another disappointment. It was old, the flush was a pull up lever which almost didn’t work. The taps were tarnished. We finally got into our rooms. The floors were scratched, not quite the varnish, but we thought, it’s ok, a little authenticity, somethings must age. The beds still had its canopy, but the linens looked worn, tired. The little table with its two cushion chairs were well placed, but the cushions were totally worn, we could feel the base of the seat. There was a dressing table, thoughtful… but then there was no light for any lady, vain or otherwise, to apply her war paint. The room was badly lit, no extra lights at the dressing table or anywhere. The stand alone cupboards were large, but dark as well. I almost missed the black hair dryer kept in there, and we couldn’t find the room slippers and had to ask for help to locate it in the cupboards. The most disappointing was the bathroom. It was badly lit as well. The taps were all tarnished and without my glasses, I could see the bits of mould growing around the base of the tap. There was also limescale deposits. The floor tiles were badly worn, and I wish I could say it gave the bathroom a feel of the grandeur of yesterday years ageing gracefully, but hygiene is too important here to do so. The highlight was when we took a shower and stepped into the bathtub supported by “stone legs.” It wobbled continuously and made such a lot of noise that kept the user on edge. Then, we saw it all, the grouting of the wall tiles were caked with black moulds. To top it all, the bathroom had a stench of clogged pipes. It stayed with us like a faithful friend that won’t leave even if we tried pushing him out the door!! Did I mention the mosquitoes that bunked in with us? They bit my friend on the face & eye lid which swelled for 2 days. In the mornings, they sounded the wake up calls around our faces. If it had been possible, we would have cancelled the wake up calls. Breakfast was good. There was a good spread and the chefs behind the counters were friendly and all smiles. However much could be done to train the waitresses, who hid in corners. I asked one of them where the toaster for the bread was, she said there was none. I found it on the second morning. It was there all along. I guess her English needs polishing. Luckily, the porters were friendly and quite quick with umbrellas as it rained the whole 2 days we were there. On the whole, the hotel had a handful of local guests while we were there. I hope they chip in, in encouraging the hotel to relook at its offerings. We would really like to go back, but perhaps, only if someone wrote a review that says otherwise.

A well appointed Hotel of the highest standard. Rooms are a good size amazing views overlooking DaLat City centre all the way out to the mountains. Spectacular views. Breakfast is of the highest standard and there is a lot of choice. Different meats, vegetable dishes, excellent omelette and sunny eggs station, coffees ☕️, tea 🍵, fruit selection, fresh pastries ..everything included 😋. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. Concierge staff are on hand to help with anything - even operating the photo booth (Duc Nguyen in the hotel lobby was awesome and nothing was too much effort 👌). They have a fun photo booth and guests can use for free. Large reception area is very tastefully decorated ( had Christmas decorations ). All the staff are very helpful and friendly (and they speak English as well which is super helpful) Highly recommend this hotel if you come to DaLat. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Very nice hotel and the staff was very friendly,  but I had to mark them down on location and amenities. For location, no fault of the hotel, all the sidewalks on the entire street was torn up, non existent, requiring everyone to walk in the sometimes busy street. As for amenities, our television wouldn’t play anything and our A/C wouldn’t cool the room.

I chose it because of its retro style. It might be a little scary for the faint-hearted, but you will love its difference. Especially its breakfast area, you will be attracted by its decoration rather than its food 😁 It's a pity that it didn't decorate for Christmas in advance... I saw the staff start decorating on the 20th. If it could have been decorated for Christmas a month earlier (at least 2 weeks before), it would have been perfect.

We didn't regret taking this hotel (based on the neural network's recommendation). It is located outside the city, not very suitable for people who don't want to spend money on a taxi, but want to go to Dalat - it's better to consider city options. But for those who want to have fun in the fresh air in the mountains on the shore of the lake - I highly recommend it. Cons - no air conditioning in the rooms, old TVs and the hotel itself. Pros - location (taking into account the comment above), delicious breakfasts, clean air, lake, polite staff

Very nice staff, change room for me to same tulip branch hotel tulip 3, which is nice of them. Walking distance to everything from this hotel, it is in the main centre of Dalat. Nice clean up, with windows give good fresh air flow. It seems most of da lat hotels don't have air conditioner. So a bit cool late at night. But currently weather is perfect 25 degrees. Thank you for switching to Valley View Twin. The breakfast was so delicious that I ate my fill all three days, and the massage was nice and friendly. It's close to the lake, so it's great for a walk. Good for moving to the city center, such as the night market. The staff were very friendly, so I had a comfortable stay. Valley View is quiet so I don’t wake up. If you are sensitive, please request valley view. However, the room facilities seem a bit old and need renovation. If it has sophistication, I would give it 100 points. I'll give it a 90 and I intend to visit again.

The hotel's overall facilities are a bit dated, but the other services were generally acceptable. The rooms don't have air conditioning, but they do have fans. Breakfast starts at 6:00 AM and meets basic dining needs.

A lovely old French colonial hotel built in 1932. Full of history and character it's located close to the city lake. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and quiet. No air conditioning in room but the ceiling fan was fine. The food in the restaurant for dinner was tasty and plentiful. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Overall it was a good experience. The hotel is not quite in downtown but you can easily get to hot spots. The hotel is placed on a downhill so keep in mind if you’re not using vehicle. Some of the staff speaks English and some not, however it wasn’t an issue. Overall cleanness was fine, it’s only the bedding and towels that was a bit stained and old. The bed was fairly comfy.

Excellent hotel, the room is clean, not very big, the location is excellent - one of the main attractions of the Crazy House is nearby, to the party places in the city center - 20 minutes walk or 5 by car/bike. The price for the room is very pleasant, the staff is polite, speaks English, accepts Union Pay cards

Yes, the scenery is very good, the boss is also very polite, the environment is good, the vacation is very good, in the high mountain, but the breakfast is a little bit short, if the room is full, there is not enough food

The name of the place is exactly righty. The design is crazy and the rooms have beautiful details that make you want to spend time here. The rooms were a little damp since they don’t have heating as it was raining outside. But the experience was still worth it, since you had the premises all to yourself after the masses of tourists roaming around during the day. Our room, the Gourd room, was the best, since it’s the highest and in a dead end so people won’t constantly pass by your room. Spend a night here to have a unique experience. It would be nice if the hotel would provide a little breakfast for that price. They have a café so logistically this wouldn’t be a problem…

The room equipment is average, but the transportation is convenient. You have to live in the back. There is a window to see the scenery outside. The room at the back is more comfortable. The room at the back can see some of the past landscapes. It is a bit similar to the blue sky and white clouds of Florence's house in Huaguo

LOCATION: Hotel is located opposite Huge GO hyper market which is near the huge park. Grab is convenient. It is not recommended to walk to night mkt unless you enjoy crossing the busy traffic. I tried and it was fun but tiring! ROOM: Spacious. Given a queen n single mattress ! Generally clean room & toilet. Has a slight musky smell possibly due to the carpet and old furnishing. The park had a Car rally on a Saturday I was there. Take note: NO aircon & there was some non stop singing nearby till 11pm?!! Bearable but undesirable. FOOD: Breakfast has Viet, Chinese and western offering but the taste was just ok. Good to fill up the stomach on a rushed day. The Char Siu slices in the pho were vv tough. The broth has no minimal flavour. Beverage provided included artichoke tea, Lipton tea, soy milk and boiled water. Coffee and tea were chargeable. My return is conditional on a cleaner room.

The hotel is located in pine trees, behind which there is a view of the lake .... what could be better? Very quiet (once on Saturday we heard the sounds of karaoke in the evening) and the air is saturated with pine trees, you can hear birds everywhere, the territory is ennobled and it is pleasant to walk along it. I like the rooms with their panoramic windows and the presence of a bath, and if you take it as a whole, I would like more details in the form of a floor lamp, maybe small pillows and other attributes of coziness. Without them, it is somehow bare. The people working at the reception are very nice and so is the staff. It is better to take breakfast in the form of fried eggs, I do not recommend soup. It is a little lacking the opportunity to walk near the lake, there are no lanterns and paths. But there is a cafe nearby with a beautiful view, I definitely recommend it as an opportunity to spend time. Delivery services with food or groceries come here, so you can provide yourself with lunch and dinner in this form. There are almost no establishments nearby, or with a questionable set of dishes for an unreasonably high price. The hotel also has a pickleball court, but it's better to bring your own rackets. I'll definitely come back to this hotel again!

Hotel cleanliness and facilities are difficult to expect domestic level, but location value for money is ok. The facilities are a bit old and locals seem to prefer it rather than Korean tourists. Although it's a good location in terms of location, if you want high level of cleanliness, I recommend you to find other places. The staff at the desk are friendly and recommended in other aspects of cost performance, but it is not above average hygiene that Koreans want.

The room was clean with necessary facilities, by the way , there’s a kitchen when we order a delivery hotpot without any pot & chopsticks, all here could solve it. Although here live in the city center, the environment is very quiet , u could notice the lovely cats and dog lying on the beautiful yard . One more thing , the host are warm-hearted , when we met issues till late night , she came to take care with the locked toilet by our mistake and help us with the Futa bus order

The hotel has a very convenient location. The rooms are clean and bright, with large windows. In my room, the window faced the sunset, and the sunlight warmed the room throughout the day. This made the room pleasantly warm, even in the evening. It was nice to return to a warm room after a long day, thanks to both the sunlight and the view of a beautiful sunset. The placement of power outlets was convenient, and the room included a kettle, which allowed me to make tea easily. The hot shower was also a plus. The parking area was secure, closed, underground, and very spacious—perfect for both bikes and cars. Overall, the hotel gave me a sense of safety and coziness. However, there was one downside I encountered. The bathroom was extremely small, and the shower kept flooding the room. On the first day, I reported this issue to the staff. They responded promptly by wiping the floor with dry towels and removing the water. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. The next day, I asked them to fix it again, and they removed the floor filter, which was blocking the water drainage. While this improved the situation, it did not completely resolve the issue. It seems the shower area wasn’t adequately sealed, as water continued to seep out into the room. This made it impossible to take a long shower, limiting me to very short ones. Despite this, my overall impression of the hotel is positive.
