However, I booked so far in advance through Trip.com, only to find the price was lower upon check-in. The hotel's location is close to Marina Bay. I specifically asked the front desk staff for a room with a view of the Marina Bay Sands, and to my surprise, I could also see the iconic Merlion Park and Supertrees from the balcony. Who can resist the temptation of watching the light show from their room? I regret not getting the staff member's name to commend him.
The bellhop was also excellent. He helped me carry all the souvenirs I brought from Malaysia into my room, and even helped me load them into the car when I checked out.
Breakfast and the pool were standard, meeting five-star expectations – nothing extraordinary, but certainly not bad either.

The location is super convenient, with a subway station right downstairs and Raffles City mall next door. Suntec City is just across the street. You can easily walk to the National Gallery and St. Andrew's Cathedral, passing the Old Hill Street Police Station and Fort Canning Park on the way to Clarke Quay.
I arrived around 8 AM and was surprised they let me check in early! The concierge at the door was incredibly welcoming, took my luggage, and led me to check-in. The front desk staff didn't speak Chinese, but with a bit of gesturing and guessing, everything went smoothly.
My room had a balcony, and even though I booked the most basic room type, I could still see Marina Bay Sands (though not directly facing it), which was a pleasant surprise!
The view from the 70th-floor SKAI bar is fantastic, and reservations are highly recommended. One of the female servers was particularly wonderful. She was so enthusiastic when I made the reservation. Later, when I arrived, there were no window seats left. Halfway through my drink, she came over, helped me gather my things, said 'follow me,' and moved me to a window table!
Breakfast was just okay, but considering the local prices, it was still pretty decent value for money.Dari£218

Have stayed here 3 times on each visit to SG over the past year. The location is great. Only some rooms have bidet, and where one of our rooms has no bidet, there is a mini fridge. Hope that very room will get a bidet and mini fridge eventually. The TV is useless as the Internet is too slow to cast anything on it. Maybe provide a HDMI cable so we could connect our devices to it.
Wish there are stretch bands and roller foam provided in the gym. I’ve seen some guests confused over the way to use the washer and dryer, so it might be good to print a poster with instructions to use them.Dari£77

The location is good, very close to the subway, making transportation convenient. There's a convenience store downstairs, so it's easy to grab a bite if you get hungry at night. We East Asians might find the smell in some areas a bit uncomfortable (mainly in the elevator; the lobby and rooms are fine. You know the drill).

Check-in involved a bit of a wait. For Singapore, it seems there are fewer staff who speak Chinese. Also, my breakfast records for two days weren't logged, so I had to explain and confirm with the staff every morning.

## Facilities:
The hotel facilities are quite old, but! The important thing is that the rooms are really spacious. If you're not a fan of Singapore's super small-sized rooms, I highly recommend this place. This is an older hotel, but its location is definitely a huge plus. It's super convenient for getting around by bus, and the subway is also very close by. The hotel's location is truly excellent. It's just a ten-minute walk to the Skyline Luge, Palawan Beach, and the MRT station, making it super convenient to stroll along the beach in the evening before heading back to the hotel. When arriving by taxi, the staff helps with luggage, and luggage storage after check-out is also handled in Chinese. The room offers great views outside, with sights of the beach and cargo ships on the sea. At night, you can even see fireworks and movies being shown by the pool from your room. The room itself is compact but very clean. We stayed for two nights, and the hot water for showers was very comfortable. The room was also very quiet. Breakfast starts to get a bit busy around 8:30 AM, and communication in Chinese is seamless. Upon check-in, the hotel provides an island map and a schedule of hotel activities. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, they also gave us fruit and red envelopes. Next to the breakfast restaurant, there's a 7-Eleven for buying water and snacks. The hotel also has vending machines that accept WeChat Pay and Alipay for drinks. There's even a cold water dispenser near the elevators; while rooms don't provide bottled water, there's direct drinking water available. Most shops on the island accept WeChat Pay, Alipay, Visa, and some even UnionPay. Peacocks, parrots, and toucans are commonly seen around the hotel. The location is superb, within walking distance of Clarke Quay and Chinatown MRT stations. You'll find three or four shopping malls with plenty of dining options within a ten-minute walk. Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands are also just a 30-minute MRT ride away.
A deposit is required upon check-in, and only Visa and Mastercard are accepted. During my five-day stay, all the staff I encountered only spoke English, but they were all very friendly and resolved any issues promptly.
The room isn't large, but the layout is very efficient. The small table, bay window, and counter maximize the space, allowing a 24-inch suitcase to be opened flat comfortably. There's an electric kettle and complimentary filtered water, which is convenient for making tea or coffee. The mini-fridge is also handy for storing supermarket-bought yogurt and fruits. A 24-hour gym is available, and the swimming pool is open from 7 AM to 10 PM.
If I had to mention any downsides, the air conditioning was a bit temperamental, blowing hot and cold. Also, housekeeping didn't consistently replenish amenities after cleaning, which meant I had to call the front desk to request them. On the bright side, the bed linen was changed daily.
