Highlights included the fragrant nasi lemak, comforting porridge, delectable dumplings, and an unexpectedly delightful creamed spinach. The toilet was immaculately clean and stocked with essential amenities (shampoo, bath gel, conditioner, shower cap, vanity kit, and toothbrushes.) The rainfall shower was sublime, with excellent water pressure and perfect temperature control. I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing soak in the bathtub. Situated in the heart of Orchard Road, the hotel’s location was perfect. With an abundance of malls and halal eateries just steps away, everything I needed was within easy reach. Checkout was a breeze, handled by Abby, another sweetheart whose warmth and efficiency made the end of my stay as pleasant as the beginning. I didn’t take any photos. I was so absorbed in enjoying my personal space. For authentic visuals, please refer to the hotel’s official photos and those shared by other reviewers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, i still feel there are room for improvements. I have a few thoughtful upgrades that I believe, could elevate the experience further, even for a five-star hotel. Have stayed here 3 times on each visit to SG over the past year. The location is great. Only some rooms have bidet, and where one of our rooms has no bidet, there is a mini fridge. Hope that very room will get a bidet and mini fridge eventually. The TV is useless as the Internet is too slow to cast anything on it. Maybe provide a HDMI cable so we could connect our devices to it.

The hotel's location is truly excellent. It's just a ten-minute walk to the Skyline Luge, Palawan Beach, and the MRT station, making it super convenient to stroll along the beach in the evening before heading back to the hotel. When arriving by taxi, the staff helps with luggage, and luggage storage after check-out is also handled in Chinese. The room offers great views outside, with sights of the beach and cargo ships on the sea. At night, you can even see fireworks and movies being shown by the pool from your room. The room itself is compact but very clean. We stayed for two nights, and the hot water for showers was very comfortable. The room was also very quiet. Breakfast starts to get a bit busy around 8:30 AM, and communication in Chinese is seamless. Upon check-in, the hotel provides an island map and a schedule of hotel activities. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, they also gave us fruit and red envelopes. Next to the breakfast restaurant, there's a 7-Eleven for buying water and snacks. The hotel also has vending machines that accept WeChat Pay and Alipay for drinks. There's even a cold water dispenser near the elevators; while rooms don't provide bottled water, there's direct drinking water available. Most shops on the island accept WeChat Pay, Alipay, Visa, and some even UnionPay. Peacocks, parrots, and toucans are commonly seen around the hotel. The location is superb, within walking distance of Clarke Quay and Chinatown MRT stations. You'll find three or four shopping malls with plenty of dining options within a ten-minute walk. Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands are also just a 30-minute MRT ride away.
A deposit is required upon check-in, and only Visa and Mastercard are accepted. During my five-day stay, all the staff I encountered only spoke English, but they were all very friendly and resolved any issues promptly.
The room isn't large, but the layout is very efficient. The small table, bay window, and counter maximize the space, allowing a 24-inch suitcase to be opened flat comfortably. There's an electric kettle and complimentary filtered water, which is convenient for making tea or coffee. The mini-fridge is also handy for storing supermarket-bought yogurt and fruits. A 24-hour gym is available, and the swimming pool is open from 7 AM to 10 PM.
If I had to mention any downsides, the air conditioning was a bit temperamental, blowing hot and cold. Also, housekeeping didn't consistently replenish amenities after cleaning, which meant I had to call the front desk to request them. On the bright side, the bed linen was changed daily.
