This is my second time staying here. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. They try their best to accommodate us in all aspects. I bought a pair of shoes that would be delivered to the hotel on the next day, I informed the concierge and they thoroughly went through details of the expected parcel to prevent errors and miscommunication with the delivery. The next day when my parcel arrived, the concierge called and make sure the parcel delivering was the correct one for me. As for the house keeping, they noticed that we drank all 4 bottles of complimentary water everyday and from our 3rd day of staying onward they gave us 6 bottles without our request. Not to mention that I accidentally spilled milk over my bed in the rush, I informed the front desk before we headed out and they enthusiastically told me not to worry they would send the house keeper to change my bed sheet right away. In the morning of our last day, Oliver from the front desk called to confirm our check out and informed that hotel’s check out time was twelve noon. They also asked how many luggage we had and what time would we want the concierge to come collect them which I told them to come up around 11am, and at 11am sharp they rang on my door. Oliver from the front desk came along with the concierge, accompanied us down and helped us through the check out process and luggage deposit. We had a very pleasant stay at the Marriott hotel. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and housekeeping kept everything in great condition throughout our stay. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and our room was allocated quickly when we arrived. The hotel porter was also very helpful and active in arranging and loading our luggage into the car when we left, which we really appreciated.
What impressed us most was the service after check-out. We realised we had left our child’s cow doll in the room, and when we contacted the hotel, the staff replied promptly, found the doll, and arranged to send it back to us by courier. This thoughtful gesture showed how much they care about their guests.

Today is my last day at The Westin Bund Center Shanghai. At first, I loved the hotel, but unfortunately, the experience has slowly deteriorated.
Before arrival, I had tried emailing ************************* to make a small request to celebrate an anniversary, but the email failed to deliver with an error saying the recipient’s server didn’t recognize certain characters. I’m not sure why, as the email was in English and sent from my phone.
At check-in, I mentioned this to the receptionist (his name started with “C”), who was very polite and spoke to the lady behind him, asking her to reach out to Angela to assist. He then told me to head to my room and assured me I would be contacted. I waited for an hour in the room with no update, so I went out hoping to find a message upon my return, but sadly, there was still nothing.
The email issue could have been my fault, and that is fine. But what is unacceptable is being promised a follow-up for such a special occasion and then never receiving it. For a hotel of this standard, I expected better communication and service consistency.
Later, my son lost part of his toy, which led me to start searching around the room. While doing so, I discovered dust under every cabinet. Worse, I found what looked like someone else’s cream bottle stuck between the bed and the dresser. This makes me believe that the bottom part of the bed sheet was not changed, as housekeeping would almost certainly have noticed such an item if the bed had been properly stripped and remade.
I have stayed in many Marriott properties, and this is the first time I would give only 2–3 stars. :(DariSAR 554

Booked a collection executive room and was very happy with my room on the 29th floor with the most perfect view on Shanghai's skyline. Hotel is perfectly located on the Nanjing East road in the very center of Shanghai. Breakfast was very good - both chinese and western. cuisine provided, lot of fruit, pastry and very good coffee.

Robot will deliver your food delivery order to the room, although it may take more time during peak hours.
There is a rack at the entrance (24hrs CCTV in operation) to collect parcel on behalf of customers, but it could be difficult to find your parcel sometimes because there are lots of parcels delivered everyday.

Review: The Langham Shanghai — Still Well-Located, But No Longer the Same
The Langham Shanghai has long been one of my preferred hotels, especially before the pandemic. After many stays, I’ve come to expect a certain standard of hospitality, consistency, and refinement. This recent visit, however, showed a noticeable decline across several areas.
Service
Overall service from the staff was acceptable. Front-line employees remained polite and tried their best. However, the manager on duty—a Caucasian manager—felt out of touch with Asian hospitality norms. His attitude came off as dismissive and rude, which immediately set the wrong tone. The contrast between the staff’s warmth and his behavior was striking.
Breakfast Buffet
The most significant drop was in the breakfast buffet. Quality has slipped in a way that’s hard to ignore: food didn’t taste as fresh, dishes weren’t as well prepared, and the overall selection felt uninspired compared to previous years. At this point, it’s honestly better to go out for breakfast.
Room & Housekeeping
Room cleanliness was fine, but small inconsistencies added up. Turn-down service was missed on some nights. When I requested water refill, the staff who arrived seemed confused about why she had been sent up, leading to an awkward exchange. These are small moments, but in a five-star hotel, they highlight cracks in training and coordination.
Overall Impression
The Langham Shanghai still has one unbeatable strength: location. But nearly everything else has declined—food, consistency, management attitude, and attention to detail. After years of loyalty, I’m now considering switching to a different hotel for future trips. The experience simply didn’t match the standards I’ve known and trusted from The Langham brand.

I would have given this hotel full 5 stars if the was an unfortunate security incident. On 26 Dec, a middle aged local Chinese man followed me into the lift and looked suspicious. He didn’t tap his keycard and we out the same floor. I asked him to produce his keycard and he couldn’t and I brought him down to the reception to ask for security. When lift stopped at level 5, he tried to rush out to escape but I pulled his arm and he couldn’t. While we were waiting for someone to attend me as everyone was busy, he quickly walked briskly away. I went to look for him with hotel staff but couldn’t find him. Hotel needs to beef up their security.
I would have given the hotel 1 star in service but i would to commend Allesandro Hao as he allowed us to extend our checkout time free of charge due to our flight delay of 11 hours. As such his act of good service earn the hotel an additional star.DariSAR 668

I stayed here for one night. I came here after leaving another hotel that wasn't good. I'm so glad that I came here instead. I really got such a good night's sleep. One of the hotel staff, Ekko, was extra helpful in answering my questions in English, allowing me to stay longer in the lobby while I waited for my friend and even offered me a bottle of water. He was very welcoming! The the bed is so comfortable and soft and the hotel is very clean. And the breakfast is also delicious. You also have a vending machine on the first floor that takes digital payment and a mini refrigerator in your room. There's also a smart TV with HDMI and screen mirroring. It's great value for money and it's also just a really comfortable place to stay. The interior design is really beautiful and eclectic. I think you'll have fun just hanging out in the lobby, good music playing, for a couple hours doing some work at one of the many sitting areas in the lobby, if you're a digital nomad like me. I didn’t get to take good pictures of the hotel because it felt like home and I was comfortable instantly. Stayed for almost a week, and the room, breakfast, and the staffs were all so amazing. I will certainly visit again. It’s your own studio, with a kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Clean sheets and the thoughtful staffs truly made my day.DariSAR 183

Cara memohon Visa China

Apabila rakyat Malaysia memohon visa Cina, langkah utama adalah seperti berikut:
1.Tentukan jenis visa:
- Visa pelancong (visa L): Jika anda melancong ke China, mohon visa L. Bahan jadual perjalanan seperti tiket penerbangan pergi balik dan tempahan hotel, atau surat jemputan daripada unit atau individu di China diperlukan.
- Visa perniagaan (Visa M): Mereka yang ingin pergi ke China untuk menjalankan aktiviti perniagaan dan perdagangan mesti menyediakan dokumen aktiviti perniagaan, jemputan pameran ekonomi dan perdagangan serta surat jemputan lain yang dikeluarkan oleh rakan dagang di China.
- Visa pelawat( Q1,Q2,S1,S2)
- Visa kerja (visa Z): Mereka yang bekerja di China perlu memberikan "Notis Permit Kerja Warga Asing" atau "Permit Kerja Warga Asing" yang asal.
- Visa belajar (visa X)
- Visa wartawan (visa J)
2.Isi borang permohonan secara online:
Log masuk ke laman web Pusat Perkhidmatan Permohonan Visa Cina (https://bio.visaforchina.cn/kul3_en/) untuk mengisi borang permohonan visa dalam talian, memuat naik bahan permohonan seperti yang diperlukan, tandatangan pada halaman pengesahan dan perkara 9 borang dan cetak halaman yang sepadan (jumlah 2 halaman) ).
3.Sediakan bahan permohonan:
- Pasport: Pasport asal dengan tempoh sah lebih daripada 6 bulan dan halaman visa kosong dan salinan halaman foto dan data pasport.
- Borang permohonan visa dan gambar: 1 salinan borang permohonan visa yang diisi dalam talian (cetak halaman pengesahan dan halaman yang sepadan dengan perkara 9 borang) dan 1 gambar dimuat naik dalam borang permohonan.
- Bukti tinggal atau kediaman yang sah (terpakai kepada mereka yang tidak memohon visa di negara kewarganegaraan): Jika anda tidak memohon visa di negara kewarganegaraan, anda perlu memberikan sijil sah tinggal sah, kediaman , bekerja, dan belajar di Malaysia atau asal dan salinan visa yang sah.

4.Hantar permohonan anda:
Selepas status pesanan pada halaman permohonan dipaparkan sebagai "Pasport menunggu penyerahan", saya akan menyerahkan permohonan saya ke Pusat Perkhidmatan Permohonan Visa Cina di Kuala Lumpur bersama pasport dan bahan permohonan visa saya yang lain, dan menyimpan sepuluh cap jari saya.
5.Menunggu kelulusan:
Masa kelulusan visa biasanya mengambil masa 4-5 hari bekerja, dan pemprosesan dipercepatkan boleh diselesaikan dalam masa 1-3 hari bekerja, tetapi perkhidmatan dipercepat mungkin memerlukan bayaran tambahan.
6.Mengambil visa:

Berapakah kos visa China
Mengikut langkah sementara dari 11 Disember 2023 hingga 31 Disember 2024, kedutaan dan konsulat China di luar negara mengenakan yuran visa untuk melawat China pada 75% daripada piawaian yuran semasa. Berikut ialah anggaran kos untuk rakyat Malaysia memohon visa China (ditukar dalam ringgit, kadar pertukaran akan turun naik):
Permohonan biasa:
- Visa kemasukan tunggal: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 220 (75% daripada harga asal);
- Visa kemasukan dua kali: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 235;
- Visa berbilang masuk 6 bulan: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 289;
- Visa kemasukan berbilang 12 bulan: berharga kira-kira MYR 335.
Permohonan dipercepatkan:
- Visa kemasukan tunggal: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 380;
- Visa kemasukan dua kali: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 412;
- Visa berbilang masuk 6 bulan: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 470;
- Visa kemasukan berbilang 12 bulan: berharga kira-kira MYR 615.
Permohonan segera:
- Visa kemasukan tunggal: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 505;
- Visa kemasukan dua kali: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 545;
- Visa berbilang masuk 6 bulan: yuran adalah lebih kurang MYR 585;
- Visa kemasukan berbilang 12 bulan: berharga kira-kira MYR 650.
Yuran di atas adalah untuk rujukan sahaja Yuran khusus mungkin berbeza-beza disebabkan oleh turun naik kadar pertukaran, pelarasan polisi dan keadaan khusus permohonan. Adalah disyorkan untuk berunding dengan Kedutaan atau Konsulat China di Malaysia atau pusat permohonan visa yang berkaitan untuk mendapatkan maklumat bayaran yang tepat sebelum memohon visa.
Berapa lama masa yang diperlukan untuk memohon visa China?
Masa yang diperlukan untuk memohon visa Cina berbeza-beza bergantung kepada banyak faktor Secara umumnya, ia dibahagikan kepada situasi berikut:
