Overall, I had a pleasant stay at KSL Hotel & Resort. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The location is excellent as it’s directly connected to KSL City Mall, making shopping and finding food very convenient. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite. This guesthouse is incredibly unique and full of character. I never expected to find something like this in JB! It's quite true to the pictures, though the photos have a stronger ambiance and make it look newer than it is; in reality, some of the in-room facilities are a bit old.
The ceilings are high and the balcony is very spacious, offering views of the sea, Singapore, and Malaysia simultaneously. The guesthouse is located in a high-end residential building, with excellent security downstairs and very good service. You need to pick up the key from the mezzanine floor beforehand, which is quite convenient. Each room comes with a free parking space, so parking is very easy.
However, it does suffer from the common guesthouse issue of poor sound insulation. It seems like a whole apartment has been divided into two, as we could always hear sounds from next door. Also, the projector's clarity was very low. And the toilet paper quality was quite poor; it would be great if conditioner could also be provided. The host's responses on WhatsApp were pretty prompt, and most issues were dealt with immediately.
Overall, it's very well-designed and quite quirky, definitely worth a stay. But for this price point, I would hope for better quality in some of the amenities.DariMXN$ 1,705

This property's location is one of its strongest selling points, with a plethora of dining options nearby and KSL just a short walk away. The unit itself is clean and well-maintained, with fresh linens, towels, and pillows.
Unfortunately, our stay was not without its issues. The unit's high floor did not translate to impressive views, as they were blocked by neighboring units.
The bathrooms, particularly the master bedroom, had a noticeable sewage smell that lingered even with the door closed. The water heater was also problematic, leaking and producing loud noises when in use. Other issues included a faulty toilet door lock in the master bedroom and poor water flow on the toilet flooring, resulting in water accumulation. The shower form provided is labelled as dishwasher.
To top it off, the cups provided were dirty and stained. Despite these issues, the stay would have been enjoyable if not for these problems.DariMXN$ 459

Pros:
Excellent location, right above the R&F mall. Kitchen is complete with adequate kitchenware. Comfortable stay for a 1-bedroom apartment. Felt very cosy (attached photo). Easy enough to check in and out following whatsapp directions for the mailbox. Customer service was responsive with my questions. Also the price for 1 night was excellent at only about $61 SGD, and this seems to be the cheapest among all 1 bedroom offerings on Trip.com for R&F Princess Cove.
Cons:
On a minor note, air-conditioner in the living room was a bit loud (some noise) but otherwise worked fine. I did not use the oven in the kitchen but there was a sign saying it was not to be used. The most unfortunate part of the stay was small bugs/cockroaches in the kitchen/toilet area, I otherwise would have given it a 10/10 for my stay there. I don't believe it is a hygiene issue though as the rooms were observed to be clean, not sure where the bugs are coming from but there is spray provided.DariMXN$ 634

Amazing hotel for 3 star hotel. We loved the ambience and cozy feeling. Rooms were huge and clean. Beautifully designed. Beds were so comfortable to sleep on. The host is friendly, responsive and understanding. However, the stay is a very forgettable one.
This review is solely based on the overall experience staying at this apartment. It is to create awareness for others in case they have kids and would like to stay here as it has 2 Queen bed accommodation. For context, it is a condominium with dual keys unit, meaning it has one main entrance followed by 2 separate doors for each unit. I do not want anyone to been through what we did.
We check-in late around 5pm, the kids are excited when they entered the room happily and shouting. Out of a sudden, we heard a guy shouting from the other unit, we opened the door and he shouted at us angrily. He said he is staying here and he is sleeping, do not make any noise. We obliged and tried to keep our volume down. We went out after and back to the stay around 10pm. My kids suddenly cried and he shouted “Hello!”and slammed the door loudly. We will all stunned and speechless. The kids are only 3 and 8 fyi, and I have to tell them to be quiet for the whole time while staying here. What’s the joy of staying here for? To be honest, it is late at night at level 39 and with an unknown mental unwell guy just beside us really makes our stay a very stressful and threatening one. We slept for the night as it is late and the kids are tired. We left the stay asap the next morning.DariMXN$ 722
