Spent one night at this hotel for a business trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was for the price.
The parking area is spacious and free, with valet parking available from RM30 per night. The hotel has a modern design and is equipped with a Face ID-like entry system, which adds a nice touch of technology. All the room switches are touchscreen as well.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. I also really loved the bathroom design, especially the electronically operated toilet seat very much like the ones you’d find in Japan.
They also provide complimentary snacks and carbonated drinks, which was a nice bonus.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with this stay. I really enjoyed my stay, mainly due to the fantastic location so close to Ipoh’s city center. The furniture and facilities are in pristine, new condition (opened 2026), which made for a comfortable experience.
Unfortunately, there were two disappointing details:
1. The toothpaste was unusable. The cap couldn't pierce the foil seal and snapped off when we applied pressure. Both of our sets had this design flaw.
2. Trip.com shows the wrong location; it sent us to the neighboring apartment instead of this one, making it stressful to find the exact location.

The price for set and ala carte very cheap n affordable. The portion also big.. 1 plate fried rice can share with 2 person n taste was good.

Clean rooms. But when room door is open/shut, it creates a vacuum in the room that makes the windows vibrate. Also, should have installed double layer glass window panes or noise reduction screens because noise pollution from the street is clearly heard. Air conditioner couldn’t be reset as the control panel was locked resulting in us having to sleep without AC the entire night. Good value for money hotel.
I used Grab for all my transportation, so convenience wasn't an issue, and transport in Ipoh is very affordable.
The hotel and room were beautiful and quiet, which I really liked. The staff were very friendly and deserve praise.

This is an old hotel, and it's my second time staying here. My first experience was okay, but this time it wasn't very good. As soon as I walked into the room, there was an indescribable smell. It smelled like someone had applied coconut oil to a sweaty body, a scent that made me uncomfortable. I originally thought about changing rooms, but then I figured it was only for one night, so I decided not to and just opened the window to air it out. Later, I found the source of the smell was coming from the chair. I covered the chair with a towel and waited for about 3 hours until the smell slowly dissipated before closing the window. I hope the hotel's housekeeping can pay more attention to this. I can tolerate artificial fragrances, but body odor is really unacceptable; it felt like there was a dead body in the room.DariTWD 645

I only stayed one day in Ipoh as a stopover. This hotel isn't in the city center, and it's not particularly close to the train station either. However, there are some other small shops within the same building, which makes for a decent collection.
The environment is pretty good; it has an industrial design, but it doesn't look run-down. The room was small, but it matched the price. The first room we were given had a connecting door to the next room, so we asked to switch, and the front desk lady cheerfully changed it for us.

The hotel accommodated early checkin for us at 1.00 pm. We are allocated a room at the 5th floor. Room size was right for 2 pax. The toilet n bath room are separate with a pull door.

A decent stay with the basic amenities provided. We booked both a twin room and a queen room, and the reception was kind enough to arrange both rooms on the same floor upon request. There was no housekeeping during our 2-night stay, but water and soap were provided when we asked.
The hotel is currently undergoing major renovation, so guests have to access the hotel via the annex block, where the parking is located. This wasn’t a major issue, although you’ll need to switch between two lifts whenever entering or leaving the hotel. This was my second stay here, and I still love the spacious room. Everything was perfect overall. 🤩
This time, we were a little unlucky because the room suddenly had a blackout in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. The next morning, after we called the service counter, the staff came to check and found that an electrical wire had burned out.
They kindly offered to let us change rooms several times, but since we were checking out soon, it was fine for us to stay. The staff also apologized sincerely during check-out.

My booking confirmation stated a 2 PM check-in, but when we arrived at the front desk, we were told the room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait until 3 PM. Fine, we waited until 3 PM, paid the RM 20 deposit, and went to the room, only to find it hadn't been cleaned yet 🫠. We informed the front desk, and they immediately arranged for a different room (the front desk staff were friendly to customers).
The room we got had older facilities (but still functional).
The power supply was a bit quirky; inserting the card didn't seem to make a difference (you had to manually flip a switch to tell if there was power or not 🥲). The light on the vanity mirror didn't work when turned on. (The hairdryer was cleverly hidden in a drawer!) 🤣
The TV reception wasn't strong; it was quite snowy and only had 2-3 channels (thankfully, 8TV was one of them). There was a window with a slight view of the outside, and the king-sized bed was very large (as we chose the king-size option). The sheets, pillows, and mattress softness were acceptable. The air conditioning was cold enough but a bit noisy.
The mini-bar area was well-equipped with a kettle, two cups, tea bags, coffee, two bottles of mineral water, and a mini-fridge 👍, which was very convenient and great.
The toilet and shower: It would be better if this could be separated into wet and dry areas, as the toilet and shower are right next to each other. When you shower, even with the curtain drawn, the water still flows to the area next to the toilet, leaving the entire floor wet. You have to be careful not to slip 💢. The drain had a slight odor, but the water pressure in both the shower and sink was good, with hot and cold water available, and a large mirror above the sink. The inconvenient part was that there was no shelf or holder for soap, shower gel, or shampoo in the shower area, so you had to walk to the sink to grab them 🫠. This definitely needs improvement.
The room space: It's suitable for two people to move around, quite large and spacious, not cramped at all.
Amenities provided were thoughtful: a mini-fridge, kettle, desk, wardrobe, shoe cabinet, hairdryer, and two trash cans (one in the bathroom and one in the room). Toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, and even a bag for dirty laundry were provided.
Regarding cleanliness, I found it acceptable. I always bring my own disinfectant and disposable sheets because I'm paranoid about unclean beds (it gives me peace of mind).
One more thing to note: if you have valuables, remember to keep them secure. Even though I didn't request cleaning, they came in to tidy up, change fresh towels, trash bags, sheets, and replenish mineral water. (Perhaps daily cleaning is included in their service; I'm not sure, as I stayed for three days).
Parking: The hotel has its own private parking lot right in front of the hotel, but spaces are limited, first-come, first-served. If you go out for dinner or sightseeing and return too late, there won won't be many spots left. (I always made sure to return before 7 PM and usually only found 1-2 spots left) 😂DariTWD 396
