The hotel was exactly what you'd expect from a palace. This was my third time in Paris, and this time my main goal was to stay in a wonderful hotel. I was moved by the beauty of the 19th-century mansion, the view from the large terrace was stunning, and above all, the high level of hospitality made me feel comfortable. Upon leaving, I forgot one of my bags due to a lack of checking, but they called a taxi and delivered it to the airport. Thanks to the Shangri-La Hotel, my trip with my daughter became an even more wonderful memory. I hope to visit again next year. Thank you very much.

The hotel itself is located in a very good area. Unfortunately, the room assigned to me was directly next to the bar, where there was a party on the same night. Although I am a young traveler, I still needed a good night’s sleep, which was not possible due to the noise. The room was very basic, with limited amenities, and did not meet expectations. Additionally, the service was not up to standard. I had to wait in line for almost 30 minutes to check in, as the staff member handling the transition between shifts did not seem to notice or prioritize new arriving guests. Overall, the level of professionalism was disappointing.

Extremely satisfied with this accommodation. First off, the air conditioning made it very pleasant, and the bathroom, towels, and bedding were all clean. The room wasn't huge, but it was exactly as advertised. Great value for money and very reasonable. There's a laundromat nearby, which is excellent for long-term travelers. Its proximity to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est makes traveling within Paris and to the suburbs very convenient. The staff were truly kind.

The location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk to the station. While the area around the train station can be a bit chaotic, the hotel's security measures are excellent—you need a key card to enter and access the floors, which made us feel very safe. The room was surprisingly spacious, quite large for a European hotel of its class. The front desk service was commendable; they were not only enthusiastic but also allowed me to check in early, which was a huge help. The only downsides were that the heating in the room wasn't quite enough, and the train noise was pretty noticeable at night. I'd recommend it to travelers like us who need to catch an early morning train.

Overall, for a hotel in Paris, this one offers good value for money. Although it's located in the 12th arrondissement, which is a bit suburban, the proximity to the metro station makes it very convenient. It's only two stops to the famous Châtelet station. The room wasn't small either. It seems like many Accor brand hotels are in this area. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. However, finding a laundromat was really difficult and far – you'd probably need an electric scooter to get to a residential area about 2 kilometers away. What's highly recommended is their gym. It occupies the entire basement level and even offers free apples for an energy boost. There's a wide variety of equipment, and the dumbbells come in a full range of weights, including heavy ones. There are also different small rooms for individual workouts, along with separate restrooms and shower rooms. My biggest disappointment was their breakfast. Even though the ingredients seemed high-quality and possibly organic, paying nearly 200 RMB per person and not finding anything that suited a Chinese palate and was healthy was frustrating. There were no leafy green vegetables, just some very basic, raw cabbage hearts. Some of the cold cuts were surprisingly unappetizing. The staff also seemed very rushed. I only found out after leaving that you could ask a server for coffee. The only thing I'd recommend is the freshly made omelets – bring your own vegetables to get enough protein. Taste-wise, it was honestly not as good as Hampton by Hilton. Another overall impression is that hotels in France don't have the same warmth as those in Belgium, and the English proficiency was slightly inferior. Don't even expect any Chinese-speaking staff.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with all hotels and all stars that I stayed before. I believe the owners/management of this hotel intend to cheap all clients, if possible. We have prepaid all our 3 restaurants ima but to arrive at the check in counter at 1700 and 1830 on the check in day to be advised that our room type was fully booked, the family 2 connecting rooms my friends booked were only good for one room and they will add 2 extra beds. Over the 3 days during my stay, every time I passed by the reception area, I can see customer complaining while checking in and out for all sorts of reasons. Those customers booked their prepaid rooms via ***********, Trip.com and C-Trip. The staff at the reception have the worst behavior and extremely rude manner. I have to teach them how to behave at least like a human being.

I usually don't write reviews, but the service here exceeded my expectations – I can definitely recommend it! When I proactively asked if it was too early for check-in, the front desk attendant kindly offered to check if a room was available and helped me check in right away. That’s truly excellent service. I initially chose this hotel mainly for its location, and it turned out to be even more convenient than expected. There's a large supermarket nearby, plenty of restaurants, and it's safe and pleasant for a stroll. Just across the bridge, you'll find the exit for Metro Line 6, and a short walk up from there leads to the beautiful and safe 16th arrondissement. From that elevated perspective, the Eiffel Tower looks especially stunning. An Uber to the airport costs around 40 euros. There’s also a microwave in the lobby and complimentary disposable cutlery.

I strongly advise against staying here during a European heatwave!!! I checked the reviews beforehand and saw that people mentioned fans were available, so no AC wouldn't be an issue, which led me to book. Upon check-in, I was given what I assume was a top-floor room (the window looked different from the room displayed on the booking page). Since I just dropped off my things and left, I only returned to the room at night. I turned on the fan for a bit but found the room temperature was still very high. I thought I'd open the window for some airflow, but the window wouldn't open!!! I checked and found that the latch was either intentionally fixed by the hotel or broken by a previous guest, making it impossible to open the window. I went downstairs to the front desk to ask if I could change rooms, but the staff member there was just someone assigned to cover the desk and couldn't assist with room changes (so it's not truly a 24-hour front desk as stated on the website). He said I'd have to wait for the morning staff to come in to even ask. We even ended up opening the door to let some air from the hallway into the room, otherwise staying in that room felt like we would literally suffocate from the heat.

There are also plenty of dining options nearby. The front desk service was good, and the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. If you don't mind walking, you can stroll along the Seine River for 4.8 km to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the old train station, and more.

The carpets in the room were dirty, they weren't cleaned or maintained. A dead fly was there when we checked in and was still there after 3 days. Apparently, room cleaning only involves making the bed and changing towels, which is something, at least. Bathroom: The toilet seat was dirty, the toilet was leaking, and the shower was leaking. It was very inconvenient that the soap and shampoo came in bottles with screw caps. Also, there was only one bar of soap for one person, but there were three of us, which isn't very hygienic to share. The folding bed for my daughter was very uncomfortable; the room was big enough to dance in, not to sleep in. The soundproofing was also poor, and we could constantly hear the neighbors. The only positive thing I can highlight is the breakfast, but even that was repetitive.

Check-in is 3pm and we arrived at 3pm but the room was only ready at almost 4pm. The story was that it was cleaned already but ”awaiting inspection”. We were handed 2 bar coupons with a blithe apology in rapid fire French for our 50 min wait. The vacuuming in the room left much to be desired. When we got into the room on the 1st day, there was a pistachio at the side of the bed. My sister's dust allergy was triggered throughout our 4 day stay. When we opted for housekeeping on the 3rd of the 4 days we stayed, the same pistachio remained there after the cleaning staff were done. Towels and bed linens were refreshed but the coffee/tea and bathroom amenities were not. If you choose the Deluxe twin room like we did, please note that the room is 24 metre square and there is only room to open up one medium sized suitcase on the ground. Our other suitcase had to be accessed via the wardrobe which was spacious enough to keep the 2nd suitcase in. Location wise, it's ideal and a stone's throw from Grand Place - the historic city centre, and many shops and good brasseries. It's a 10 min uphill walk from the hotel to the nearest train station called Brussel Centraal / Bruxelles-Midi which will bring you straight to the Brussels Airport in 17 min on the direct train (1st class carriage €12.10). The buffet breakfast is plentiful and of good quality (with eggs cooked to order) in a nice space with a courtyard view crewed by pleasant staff fluent in English. The bar has a relaxing ambience with an outdoor view and affordable drinks. My guide is always how much the increasingly rare digestif liqueur Chartreuse Verte costs. It was €14 per pour. Note : You get a free coupon for a soft drink/coffee/beer/wine if you pass up on room cleaning. If you have a short stay, you should as there wasn't much cleaning done.

Great location, right next to the subway entrance. Plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. It's about 1 km from the Central Station and there's a supermarket close by if you want to buy groceries and cook. You can also store your luggage in advance. Overall, everything was excellent. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

The room had a classic, old-money style decor, which was generally quite nice. The air conditioning wasn't very effective, taking a long time to cool down the room. The breakfast, however, was very good with a wide variety of options. The location was excellent, right in the heart of the old town, making it convenient to get everywhere.

So close but not so far from the old town or maybe the attractions which is good, if you’re staying inside around the grand palace, it may get noisy so this place is really in a good place so location is very strategic 😘 From the train station (Midi Station), 2 stops away and you can walk to the hotel easily 🫶🏻 This hotel is kinda old so it gives off the old vibes but you got what you need and breakfast is good 😄 everybody is so welcoming ~ if you’re in a budget and still want a good hotel to stay, here is the place 👍🏻 thank you 🫰🏻

I was in Brussels for a ten-day business trip, and this hotel is really close to Midi (South) Station, just a few minutes' walk across the road. The front desk staff were nice. Just a heads up, there's a city tax that needs to be paid upon arrival. There's a small restaurant on the ground floor where guests were having drinks and beer. Breakfast is served on the other side of the elevators, but we didn't opt for it as it was a bit pricey. Luggage storage is self-service in the basement. The large lockers can fit two 24-inch suitcases plus a backpack or two. I think it was €10 for the day, and you can access your luggage multiple times. It has a dual password setup, with both numbers and a pattern. Check-in is at 3 PM. You use your card to access the upper floors. Once in the room, the space was decent and had everything we needed. As is typical in Europe, you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers. There's no complimentary bottled water, so I'd recommend buying some from the supermarket nearby. The Carrefour inside South Station has large SPA mineral water bottles for under €2. The overall accommodation environment is as shown in the pictures. The bed was quite large; two of us slept comfortably without feeling cramped. Oh, and the shower room comes with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, which is a big plus! They change the trash bags and tidy up the bedding daily. We left our suitcases in the room without any valuables inside. The lock I bought beforehand didn't really come in handy (I'd heard about safety concerns around South Station before coming, but our actual experience was quite good).

The location is excellent, right in the city center. The bathroom is very spacious with a wet/dry separation, but the shower, toilet, and sink are all in one room, and there's only one, so you might have to wait during peak hours. The only downside is the large gap between the beds, so you can't place anything against the wall, as it will definitely fall. Also, the lighting is very dim, practically useless at night, and the curtains don't block out much light.

The hotel is very close to FlixBus bus stop! There is a police station and halal supermarket for Muslim community behind the hotel. The hotel should consider having 2 front desk workers at a time instead of just 1 person manning the front desk. When there are group of people talking and running around at the hotel room corridor, I couldn’t find the front desk person to solve the problem as there was no one at the front desk.
