We enjoyed a stay here just before Christmas. The lobby was decorated for the festive season and was very warm and welcoming upon arrival. It was really nice to see the gingerbread houses that the staff had made for a competition. Great service by all staff we encountered! Our room was wonderful. We were upgraded to a huge room with a fireplace and seating area. Everything was in top notch working order and all was very clean. There was a nice welcoming note from the manager there which we really appreciated - it was a very special touch. Had dinner I the bistro the first night and it was very good. Great staff in here too! We sat at the lobby fireplace for tea before we went back to our room. We even sat here the next evening after dinner with our cousins and were made to feel right at home. Nice hot cup of tea and dessert before retiring for the night. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and making our stay extra special.

We stayed in this hotel for Canada day weekend. And upon check in we had a very warm welcome and to name them, Sai, Kristine, Bee and their Supervisor Zaid. They are all very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel's breakfast was good too with lot's of choices to choose from and the F&B staff were very attentive to the needs of the guests. These are some of the reasons to come back and stay there again.

Do not trust them with your credit card information. Upon check in a $200 deposit is taken which is standard for some properties. After checking out I logged into my online banking and found that my credit card was charged an additional $500 on top of the room rate and deposit. I called the property at 10:30om(when I realized the charge) and was advised that the charge was manager approved and that no notes were on our file. I inquired why I wasn’t called before the charge was applied and no answer could be provided. The next morning at 9am I called the property again and eventually spoke to a duty manager who advised that there was damage to an ottoman. We never used the ottomans in the room. I was basically accused of doing the damage as their staff check the rooms before and after each stay and that there was no damage reported before our stay. I know matter of a fact that we did not use the ottomans in the room during our stay and advised the staff member. I asked her why we were charged without being advised and she advised that the case was still under investigation and that the hall cameras need to be reviewed - why??? The ottoman wasn’t used within the room let alone the hall. But if the situation is still under investigation why charge me an additional $500. We have not been informed of the extent of the damage or the reason the ottoman costs $700. Be very careful at this property. Fully inspect your room and all pieces of furniture so that you aren’t charged and falsely accused as we were.

It is quiet hotel, clean. Waitress are nice but breakfast is normal. There are not many choices, very salty beacon

We went to this hotel as a team, after the hotel listed themselves as a ”preferred hotel for the tournament” Which is very confusing to me because they clearly do not want any families there as a group. The amount of times that security had interactions with a group of grown adults, was insane. During daylight hours (3:30-7:30pm) we were told to move locations, then we were then told to leave that area, several times. We tried to be respectful of other hotel guests by staying outside also because it was a gorgeous day, the staff told us we needed to go indoors to the lobby. Night two, we are putting our kids to bed and security wouldn't leave our floor. First they told us that we cannot sit quietly in the hall, just my husband and I at 7:45pm, we had to stand. So we stood up, 10 minutes later we were told we needed to get out of the hallway and go to the lobby because it's a walkway. We tried to explain to the guards that our kids are young and we would not be leaving the hotel room door, but that they cannot go to sleep with us sitting in there. There was a language barrier and after a bit more of a civil conversation, they proceeded to tell us that we would be charged for a noise complaint charge because apparently we had four warnings, we were unaware of the first two or three. The rooms are nice, hotel is new. The breakfast is terrible, eggs were like rubber. I will never understand why hotels that choose to be tournament hotels don't catch on to put us in an actual block of rooms to lessen any potential complaints from other guests. To top it all off, there were 3 homeless men that were in the bush at the back of the parking lot, they came into the lobby and were approaching some of our team girls who are between 11-13 years old, when security was asked about what was being done about this they said ”they had no idea but that they believed it to be okay, no police were called” Thankfully, we had a friend who is a SWAT officer onshift nearby, he came by to check it out and it turns out that all of these men have warrants out for their arrest. How unsettling for all of these parents with young kids, and it seems the hotel didn't think it was an issue.
