Absolutely wonderful site and great customer service. We got off the plane in Auckland after 2 x 12 hour flights and drove our camper straight to Hahei resort. We were shattered so went to bed after a quick dinner and woke up to the most incredible sunrise which prompted us to get up and go for a walk. Still in our pyjamas we walked along the coastal path towards catherdral cove however the track was closed off. Tip - book the cathedral cove boat ahead of time to avoid disappointment! We hadn't figured there was a hot tub on site otherwise we would have used it, The stars were also insane. Best start to the holiday! We then went to hot water beach to dig hot water pools the next day which was SUPER.

I was in the Queen's room at Tatahi Cove Backpackers where 3 rooms (with maximum of 7 occupants) share one toilet and one seperate shower at one end of the accomodation. The bedrooms here are divided from the sleeping accomodation at the other end of the property by the shared kitchen and lounge space. The property is showing signs of wear but is far from worn out and I had a good stay. The location is convienient with a very short walk to the middle of the small town. The beach is further away but still in easy walking distance. I was disappointed that the path to Cathedral Cove is still closed, but it is being worked on so hopefully not too many months before it reopens.
