We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs. As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.

Perfect. Unique and well thought out room with everything you will need. Great location close to town but situated in a peaceful location with a view to the mountains. Amazing variety of hot tub options, all as fabulous as the next. Lots of wine options from the boutique vineyard. We loved them all. The hosts/staff were great - in the background but always available. They made the time to sit down with us for a tasting of all the amazing wine and port options. We are already planning to go back!!

Really really nice for solo traveler. I stayed here for 3 nights and found everything amazing for this price. Especially it’s not at the Center of Queenstown so you won’t hear the noice of people partying at night. The closet they got in the room was suitable for storing skis too. Very good choice for people who want good sleep and lodge vibe after skiing.

My Fiancé and I booked our accommodation here very last minute - (8pm the night of) & John was very accommodating and saw us checked in swiftly and efficiently. You feel like you’re ages away from the rat race of city life, the sheep & alpaca feeding was really cool aswell. Very tidy, very friendly & fair pricing aswell

Last night our flight out of Queenstown was canceled! Air NZ Couldn’t/wouldn’t book anyone any accommodation. Our family of 5 drive around in a taxi for ours. Nearly 2 hours later we came across this hotel at 1am. The lovely night manager not only took care of us, he even found the children some food. The rooms were clean, warm and modern. If only customer service was this good everywhere. Thank you 🙏

This Holiday Park was very clean for us and a child. The facilities provided here exceed expectations where there is a place to cook. A very strategic location with the town of Queenstown only walking distance to the beautiful lake. The staff here are also very helpful by providing advice to us where we plan to go skiing and are advised to go early in the morning with the weather forecast being quite good in the morning at 10.00 am.

Te Wanaka Lodge is a centrally located hotel within 300m of the town center on foot. Rooms are just spacious enough to stay with luggage but a bit tight. There is a shared kitchen, fireplace and relax area within the complex where you are given a cooked breakfast. Breakfast a little on the light side but good enough. This shared space is quite spacious and hospitable. Great value for money.

Hilly place , good exercise. 16 mins walk to the city centre and gondola rides. Free breakfast and I like it 7-9am. The lady staff, was friendly . Plenty of parking spaces, amazing view. Don’t expect to much you get what you payed for. Room is just okay, we had TV, and microwave, electric kettle and fridge. The toilet is small but that’s expected , shower pressure is great!

brilliant place- Amy and david so kind and thoughtful. The only two things I would suggest is more local literature and instructions for TV. Also they need to tell people how near the waterbus is to Queenstown- so convenient

When I see the word lodge, I think of luxury, warm fires and beautiful furnishings. This for once is exactly what we got. Such an awesome house and rooms, we were happy to just chill at the homestead. Watching the stars while sitting in a hot tub was perfect. Everything spotless and every need accommodated. Highly recommend
