We had a great stay in Mola2 resort. Travelling as a family with our two grown-up kids, Mola2 wa a great location right at the beach but with quiet rooms behind the first line. The staff was friendly - especially Izom who was extremely professional, helpful and attentionate - he gave us excellent advice and helped with renting bicycles and boat trip. He was also very efficient in checking us in at the fastboat for our return trip. The manager was also very welcoming and professional. If we get a chance to come back to Gili, we will definitely come back to Mola2 resort.
Meno House - Adults Only

I have left Meno house feeling like there is more to be desired for the price I paid. The below issues really bothered me during our 3 night stay. I didn’t even know who the manager was. The staff did really not go out of their way to help and they are clumsy. You have to repeat things multiple times and they never ask you if everything is okay or if anything is needed - not even once. The breakfast is not very tasty. We were at the sunbeds for 4 hours or so one day and not even once did anyone look our way or come over to ask us if we were wanted to order anything. They just don’t care you’re there. The snorkelling gear is completely worn out. Most of them are broken but still are kept there. They’re not cleaned and the masks you can’t see out of them in the water because they’re too damaged. The room smelled humid. They are extremely bright because the curtains don’t hide any light and you start playing music at 8am. Quite difficult to rest. There is no water in the room and because no one is available after 9 - the first night lefts us with no water. No possibility to speak to reception after 9pm. No possibility to order room service after 9pm. My friend went to go ask the staff at 10pm last night for some drinks, they were just sitting around the bar without their T-shirts on, and she politely waited as they were talking so as to not interrupt them but they ignored her until she said something. They just said no it’s closed, but didn’t say sorry or anything. This morning the staff insisted I paid with cash and I said no, because we tried 2 ATMS on Gili air yesterday and all were out of cash except for one we found that only dispensed 50k notes. So we needed the cash but he kept insisting so I had to be firm. And then he’s fussing around with bills with the bar when I told him I had 3 beers and Oreo’s from the room but he’s asking me to wait for an additional invoice. All a waste of time and he didn’t even add everything up already. He was clueless like the others. We booked the boat with reception yesterday and they arrived 20 mins late. We didn’t say anything. When I booked the boat for today I insisted that it should arrive at 9:30 as we had a ferry booked (and we had issues at Gili T with them finding our tickets just now hence having plenty of time). And regardless, if we say and insist on a time, that should happen. But they arrived 25 mins late again today. I asked the reception to bring our bags to the beach so they are ready to be loaded onto the boat and he said “ I will, I will”. But I had to ask him 5 times to do it! That’s not okay that’s he’s arguing with me about it. The boat was there I could see it and he’s just discussing. Also from what the person was saying, they have had plenty of issues with this boat person being late and yet theyre still using them? He told me to speak with them about being late, but that’s not for me to do - this is the hotel’s responsibility. No manager intervened at any point! N
Kura Kura Resort Gili Meno

This is a cheap hotel so I wasn’t expecting anything amazing, however, this hotel fell way below standard. The pictures of the hotel on Trip are not accurate- in fact I can see one of the pictures is an AI render and is in no way representative of the actual hotel. The room is damp and dingy, not clean at all and the walls are crumbling. I had booked 3 nights and left after 2 as I really couldn’t stay here. It’s a shame because the staff here are amazing; very kind and attentive, genuinely interested in talking to me and helpful with suggesting what to do on the island. They seemed sad when I left early but o really needed to get out. The location is good, 5 mins walk from the port and they have a beach front restaurant. The food was average, but that was consistent across all the restaurants I tried on Gili Meno.
Ke Rensia Private Pool Villas Gili Air

We booked Ke rensia villas for part of our honeymoon. Before we arrived, we messaged via *********** to ask if it was ok if we checked in at 12pm as that's when our boat was arriving. The owners responded and said yes, that would be fine. We arrived after a very long journey on an extremely hot day. Both of us were pouring with sweat after finally reaching the hotel with very heavy bags. When we arrived we were told our room wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 2 hours. We were told 'you can walk around for 2 hours and come back'. When we insisted we had already arranged an early check in, the female member of staff who works on the desk was extremely rude to us and shrugged her shoulders and said 'that's just our check in time'. Eventually we were seated in the restaurant, Lockdown Kitchen and the staff said they would get a villa ready for us. When we were finally shown the villa, we were really disappointed. It was dirty, with a filthy breakfast bar area and there were several dead insect stains on the walls and a dead, squashed cockroach on the floor. The bedroom was extremely dark and dingy too, with a very hard bed. It was definitely not the romantic villa in the photos. To make matters worse, the location of the villa meant that ants, flies, enormous spiders and other flying creatures constantly came into the kitchen area and then also into our bedroom. On several occasions we had to call the front desk to have very large spiders removed from our villa because they kept ending up in our bedroom. It was really difficult to relax and go to sleep at night when we were worried about huge spiders coming under the large gap under the door and into our bedroom. On the first night some of the electrics in the villa complex also went out which meant our garden lights stopped working and we couldn't sit by our pool in the evenings. This still wasn't fixed when we checked out. Breakfast was average. I tried two coffees while we were here, both of which were abysmal and had to be thrown away. The banana pancakes I had were passable. You also couldn't close or lock the bathroom door from the inside which meant there wasn't much privacy going to the bathroom. Overall this was an extremely disappointing stay. The only plus point for this hotel was the lovely male staff members who were really friendly and helpful. However we would definitely not stay here again when we return to Gili Air and will not be recommending this hotel. This stay nearly ruined our honeymoon and we desperately wished we had booked somewhere else. In conclusion, the female member of staff here needs some customer training and if you like clean places and you aren't a fan of insects you definitely shouldn't book here.

Hemos estado alojados en Gili Air en el Apalagi Villas y comentar que ha sido un placer pasar unos días en la Isla y conocer esta Villa. Super tranquilo sitio a 5 minutos andando de la playa y Restaurantes. El Personal encantador y siempre con una sonrisa. Lugar de los que quedan pocos , sin coches , las motos todas eléctricas y la bici lo más común para desplazarte. Sin lugar a dudas si visitas esta Isla alójate en Apalagi, un sitio fantástico y recomendable 100x100
GiliZen Resort - Private Pool Villas

This place is tucked away but it's close enough to everything making it peaceful and relaxing. The villa is beautiful and spacious with a great outdoor area where you can lay on sun lounges, relax in a refreshing pool and be served a delicious breakfast on a floating tray or seated by the pool. We had massages in our villa and dinner delivered one night to feel a bit decadent. We were only about 250m from the water where the best snorkelling spot on the island is. We were also able to SUP here as well. Owners and staff made you feel welcomed and made sure you enjoyed the experience. Will definitely stay again.
