🌟 5-Star Review for Hostel Casa Colón, San José I had a fantastic stay at Hostel Casa Colón — it exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is incredibly convenient, especially if you’re heading to or from the airport or bus terminals. The staff were welcoming and helpful, offering great local tips. My room was clean, secure, and surprisingly quiet despite being in the city. The common areas are stylish and spacious, with a cozy on-site restaurant that serves excellent breakfast and coffee. It truly felt more like a boutique guesthouse than a typical hostel. Highly recommend for solo travelers, couples, or anyone looking for comfort and value in San José.

Book only one night needed to be closed to the airport prior to leaving Costa Rica. I arrived too early to check in so I left my backpack in the storage and went sightseeing. Rooms were cleaned however my issues was with the cleanliness of the bathrooms I wish they were cleaner . Shower’s didn’t have any hooks or shelves and I didn’t have anywhere to but my stuff other then the floor. I found a very cockroach in the shower which was also gross. Bathrooms could definitely be cleaner and furniture could be less broken done. Definitely more on the budget friendly side.

It's cheap and convenient. I stayed in a dormitory for two nights, and while it wasn't particularly comfortable, it was worth the price. The service was excellent. I had a room in a different building, so I can't speak to the other rooms, but there was only one toilet and shower outside, which meant I couldn't get to the toilet if someone was using it. The location is within walking distance of the city center, but I was woken up very early in the morning by the train horn.

The landlord’s wife was very kind and helpful, she helped me arrange my trip to Costa Rica, and I thank her very much. My trip in Costa Rica was very enjoyable. There is a local restaurant next to this hotel. It is very delicious. After I return to China, I will try to make those three dishes. One is red bean rice, one is yak beef, and the other is pepper side dishes. They are all very delicious. Especially suitable for fat reduction fitness meal

Friendly reception is a plus. It takes a little long to get from the airport There's a advantage of space alone. It is good to have kitchen facilities and rest space
