Hotel terbaik di Carcassonne

We booked two nights at this hotel for a group of friends travelling on motorbikes. The hotel has secure garage parking for a fee. The hotel is also close to the castle. Unfortunately the above are the only good points about this hotel and our experience staying there. Our room, although large and spacious, was dirty and very dated. There were no curtains at the windows, only external shutters. So you had no privacy in your room as other guests and members of the public could see in. Eg, the bathroom had a window facing the road. I found on check-in that the lady at reception was very rude. This theme continued during our stay. I can never understand why people who work in hospitality are like this. We were overcharged for our room. I booked 5 rooms for our party and we paid €50 more than everyone else for the same room. When I tried to explain this to the lady at reception, she just looked at me and said 'i know, too bad'. Beware mosquitos whilst staying, we received lots of insect bites whilst in our rooms. The sofa bed was supposed to have been made up in two of the rooms, however it wasn't. We requested this from reception, however on our return from viewing the castle found that the sofa bed had been made up, but we had no top covers (quilt or sheets!). The breakfast spread was very poor. It was buffet style, but with very few choices and items to eat. On two mornings the coffee ran out and the staff never brought out any more, even when requested. On offer was bread products, pre-wrapped cheese, yogurt and cereal. However as with the coffee, only a certain amount was on offer and when it ran out there was not more. NOTE: reception is not open all of the time, so you have a code to access the building. This can be a problem for guests checking in/ out. We will not stay here again, and I would advise anyone planning to stay in Carcassonne to choose another hotel.

L'Octroi is in a wonderful central location in Carcassonne, the hotel is clean, well appointed and staffed by a pleasant and engaging staff. The accommodation is to a good standard, the breakfast is good (if a little expensive to the average) Pre booked parking is available and there is a small pool to relax by if you arrive early. The Carcassonne Castle is very near by and the City centre is just a 15 minute walk away giving access to a huge range of bars and restaurants. A very nice place to stay if touring or on a short break in this icon of South West France. Recommended and would look to stay here again if/when in the city

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel car il se situait à mi-chemin de notre voyage. Très agréablement reçus par la standardiste, un dimanche soir, qui nous avait guidé par téléphone car très fatigués nous nous sommes perdus dans la zone artisanale. La chambre, les équipements, tout était impeccable. Propreté, calme, nous avons été ravi du choix de cet hôtel étape. Nous y retournerons car nous faisons régulièrement ce voyage. A recommander !!!

Lovely hotel in the Carcassonne city. Very centrally located near the church. Superb breakfast. There’s a man at the concierge we spoke perfect English and was extremely friendly and helpful showing us around the hotel. There’s a cafe just next to the hotel selling lovely cakes and local produce , staff there was super helpful as well. You can watch the sunset at the hotel alfresco bar seating. One bad experience is we emailed the hotel multiple times to arrange for taxi to the hotel as we are arriving at the train station but there’s no response. We have to call them (expensive paid call as we do not have France line). It will be nice for them to offer transfer even if it’s paid

Nous avons découvert cet hôtel par dépit en plus il se situe bord de route nous pensions être déçus mais pas du tout. Cet hôtel est très bien, propre, calme nous avons très bien dormi literie parfaite et personnel sympathique Petit déjeuner simple mais correct Je vous le conseil rapport qualité prix parfait Comme quoi les apprioris peuvent surprendre parfois

Clean room, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Kitchen particularly appreciated in times of COVID19 / curfew when all restaurant are closed past 6pm. This is the accommodation we were looking for... BUT... We arrived at Zenitude Carcassone past 5.00pm (before the 6.00pm COVID related curfew). The reception was closed and as far as I am aware, it is impossible to contact hotel staff past 5.00pm. We had received an email earlier in the afternoon with the different codes required to open a) the hotel gate, b) the hotel main door, c) the safe in which our key was hidden... All good so far. We checked ourselves in and reached our room, which was was pretty much as described on the Booking.com site with one BIG flaw though. Its window could NOT be open - which we found quite unacceptable in time of COVID19 given all COVID19 safety recommendations. With no one to call and curfew time approaching, we had no choice but ”hold our breath” and hope for the best for the next 7 days! We asked to change room on the second day and checked it out prior to confirming our stay. We tried to stay away from the staff considering the wearing of mask as an option. :-( Quite a disappointment given the current sanitary environment.

First the positives , hotel is in a great location and is ideal for visiting the castle and it is only a short walk into the town centre. The staff we encountered were very friendly and hard working . The decor is a bit strange with black and orange corridors and the rooms were dark . The cost of breakfast was 16 euros each ….. and although the lady who served us was very friendly the choice was very limited . The price of the drinks in the rooftop bar were also excessive , you expect to pay more in the hotel bar but I found the prices a bit over the top . So for somewhere to sleep , shower and explore this hotel is great but I would definitely dine elsewhere

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel pour la seconde fois et nous n'y reviendrons pas. Nous avons payé une chambre double plein tarif et il nous a été attribué une chambre minuscule où nous devions enjamber nos bagages pour circuler. La fois précédente, nous avions payé le même prix avec une chambre de taille normale. Quelle est la règle du jeu ? On ne nous y reprendra plus. Il faut noter que nous avons signalé en partant notre déception et nous n'avons pas reçu le mail habituel du groupe ACCOR pour connaître notre niveau de satisfaction. Et bien nous le donnons ici, cela nous évitera d'écrire au groupe Accor. Bref, petit déjeuner basique, très mauvaise literie qui nous a empêché de bien dormir. Moquette sale, qu'il conviendrait de supprimer. Finalement, au retour, nous avons réservé dans un autre hôtel.
