The service still had teething problems. The attitude is spot on with a few exceptions but this appears to be training problems. They need to gear towards a high end cruise for staff. I have visited again but felt hussled rather than looked after. It will be great i am sure .however was promised personal service this do not happen.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Trueman Court for the weekend, whilst visiting Liverpool. The rooms were very spacious and airy, giving the whole room an open and modern feel. The combination of luxury, whilst also being in a prime location (walking distance from all of the shops, bars and restaurants) fitted the bill perfectly for our weekend. One of the things we most enjoyed that most other places seem to lack was a proper functional kitchen. Everything was shiny and brand new, with a very good coffee machine and modern amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Liverpool. Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

Great location and ideally placed if you're using the bus and coach station. Within fifteen minutes of the Cavern Club, Lime street station etc. Key card operated lifts provides a certain amount of security. Small but comfortable rooms. Breakfast available but not included as standard unlike in some other Novotel hotels. Staff were happy for us to leave luggage there after checking out. Would definitely use aga as it's really central and clean.

Firstly the bad points- *The Carpark was full of old furniture from the hotel and empty beer barrier preventing you getting parked, *The hotel has turned into more of a party venue hotel rather than the beautiful hotel it was when I last came with my daughter 2018. *tap in the kitchen area in our room only let out hot water and unfortunately the room stunk of what I could only describe as a sewerage smell? Whether the drains needed maintenance I’m not sure but I I just sprayed some deodorant around to help make it not smell quite as bad because I was so tired I didnt want to have to swap rooms. *There was also no phone to call reception which I found strange and the remote for the tv was missing the back of it. I put all this bad points down to the fact that when I previously came it was owned by someone who really cared about the maintenance and reputation of the hotel but now I’ve found it’s since been sold it seems the new owner isn’t as bothered and all what the shankley represented before eg, maintenance, luxury, football themed has kind of turned more into a tacky themed hotel and doesn’t feel classy anymore. I’d probably not stay here again as it’s not the same as it was and just the whole feel of hand hotel is different. It’s not the best if you have come with kids as there’s lots of drunken guests in the hotel and it’s noisey but thank goodness it’s a large hotel as you don’t hear the noise from downstairs. We were on level 3. Our room was lovely and big with a large double bed and 2 twins pushed together, a kitchen area with tea bags and coffee (no biscuits but that didn’t bother us as we had snacks with us The upsides were- *Staff were pleasant, *breakfast was amazing with everything you could possibly as for, *hotel was mainly quiet on the 3rd floor, room was on the whole clean and had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board with a safe. * . The bathroom was lovely especially the bath as it was a jacuzzi with a waterfall shower. Everything was clean from what I could see.

We picked this hotel primarily for its location as it's in the city centre and very close to my daughters university accommodation. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything except a fridge and any staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet so we had a few good nights sleep. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food but the location is in the heart of the city and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. I also liked that there was a little desk beside the reception with extra milk, teabags etc so you could grab some extra if you needed them throughout the day.

The hotel is in a really good location close to all the shops and just a short walk to Albert Dock and the railway station. It is quite a noisy street but this did not stop us from getting a good nights sleep in a really comfortable bed. The room was clean apart from there were several stains on the carpet which is always slightly offputting and also the bedding was not the usual crisp, white sheets which made us wonder if they were clean. Perhaps they do not iron the bedlinen which is usually the norm. Bathroom was spotlessly clean with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast in Masons linked to the hotel was absolutely fantastic - greeted by very polite staff with a lovely light and bright space we were really surprised by the choice and quality of the food which really sets you up for the day - brilliant. There is a rooftop terrace which is lovely and gives a great view of the city and is a nice place for an evening drink. All in all we had a great stay at this hotel and would book to stay here again next time we are in Liverpool.

I prepaid the hotel room online, and received the check-in voucher. However, when I checked in, the Hotel could not find my booking record for half an hour. I then contacted Trip.com, and Trip.com immediately helped me contacting the hotel and the issue was resolved immediately. I selected Hilton City Centre because of its Brand and location. It is next to the Albert dock and next to the transport and shopping. It’s approx 15 mins walk from the the Liverpool Lime Station. I stayed for one night but unfortunately there was no hot water for shower/bath. When I called the room services they said they are busy and requested me to speak with the front desk. When called front desk, I was just told the hotel was investigating the problem. There was no call back by the hotel before I checked out. Very disappointed with this Hilton Liverpool City Centre. Yea

We had 2/2 sleeplessnights, the bed had springs stuck in our backs in the first room, we then asked to change rooms, we were given a different room which the bed was slightly better. The second night we realised we had left something in the first room, it was an important part of my husbands cpap machine as he has sleep apnea. I went to ask at reception and they told me that housekeeping would of put it in lost property, I asked if I could look in lost property but the answer was “no” you will have to come back at 9 am the next morning. I tried to explain the importance as my husband can’t sleep without it as he stops breathing… the answer was still “no” so we had another sleepless night. I understand it was our fault for leaving this part in the first room but surely this wasn’t the first time this kind of thing had happened??? I felt it was a very unreasonable situation…. Surely someone other than the housekeeping staff would have had a key to lost property. We will not be staying at The Adelphi Hotel again. Regards Gill Sellars 1st room 676 2nd room 370

Brought a large group of 30+ to Liverpool for the week. From the moment we booked to the time we checked out the team at the Liverpool Inn couldn't have been more helpful. The large dorm rooms we booked on recommendation catered to our every need and the shared kitchen was a great facility for us to use to feed the group. The games room was also a great facility to use for the group when needed. The location was perfect for us and was closely situated to the university (2 mins) and the city centre (5 mins). Busy spot (lots of bars, restaurants, and clubs nearby) with lots of people coming and going but very secure and safe with staff keeping a close eye on all things. 24hr manned reception and a strict set of rules with regards to behavior yet a really cool sort of relaxed vibe about the place. We will be back for sure!!

I had to book in at short notice due to a member of the family receiving palliative care in the cancer unit of the hospital, that is situated within 5 minutes walk. I drove up from Devon arriving at about midnight and stopped near the front doors of the Novotel. The gentleman on reception saw me arrive and came and opened the doors for me and then booked me in. He was friendly and efficient and during the course of our conversation enquired if I was on holiday, so I explained why I was there. He was so sympathetic and offered his help and that of his colleagues if there was anything they could do- including extending the stay or checkout times, directions to the hospital and nearby car park. My room was clean and tidy and the restaurant food was excellent as were all the staff. The following day, 3 other family members booked in and it made such a difference being so close to the hospital, able to spend valuable extra time with dad until he passed away. We had some things to complete at the hospital and then with the registrar, and true to their word the staff arranged for an extended checkout time, that took the pressure off us. We are so grateful for all the kindness we received from the staff and gladly recommend this hotel/staff to anyone going to Liverpool.

Kakitangan daftar masuk sangat sopan & ramah, pintu bilik hotel mempunyai kunci temperamental, bilik kecil tanpa peti sejuk, Tanpa botol air percuma, Tanpa jubah mandi hotel, pintu almari yang tidak ditutup dengan betul & mengganggu semasa memasuki & meninggalkan bilik seperti almari tepat di sebelah pintu bilik, juga tidak ada perkhidmatan bilik ketika cuba menelefon dari telefon bilik, Tidak ada arahan untuk WiFi & tv hanya mempunyai beberapa saluran yang dapat ditonton. Saya memilih hotel ini kerana saya menggunakan hotel mercure di lokasi yang berbeza yang telah 10/10. Sungguh menyedihkan saya untuk menulis ulasan buruk untuk hotel ini apabila saya selalu bercakap mengenai hotel mercure.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. You can hear the train station announcements which didn't wake us up but did stop us from going back to sleep. Some issues this morning with the water going off randomly and the electrics in one of our rooms stopped working for a few minutes the previous night. We had drinks and food in the Castaway bar and these were good but service was slow - only 1 bar staff on during happy hour on a Saturday night! I would happily stay at the liner again but would hope that the few small glitches would be remedied xx

Great location only a short walk from Lime Street station. Easy check-in, we arrived after hours on a Friday night and all instructions were sent in advance and easy to follow. Spacious room with tea, coffee etc and bottled water and soft drinks on arrival in the fridge. Towels, shampoo etc provided. The only glitch was the wi-fi not working all weekend during our stay, caused by a power surge and unable to be fixed until Monday. Would highly recommend, staff very helpful.

Since June 2021 I have stayed in 7 hotels/guesthouses across England and so I am well placed to compare the facilities and service we have experienced in this post-lockdown period. Three of these were booked through Secret Escapes and The Richmond was the first of these. I went with a friend for a 3 night stay to explore Liverpool. We had a decent deal so booked a double room each even though there was no single discount. First impressions were good as I had requested rooms near each other and we were actually the only 2 in a tiny corridor off of the main corridor. We found all the staff to be helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine if a little chaotic – but this has been common to most of the hotels as they struggle with new staff after an exodus of the experienced staff. My room was comfortable and the bed was big. I am always concerned that the room should be well ventilated and not too hot. The air conditioning didn’t seem to be working but there were two big fans provided in the room and you could open the window. My friend reported that she found it difficult to sleep on the first night because of street noise but I had no issues with this. There is a night porter to let you in if you are out late – which you are bound to be if you explore the Cavern Quarter, and the hotel is well placed for this as everything is a walk away. My only problem was that the safe had been left locked so I couldn’t use it. I reported this to reception on the first day and was told a maintenance operative would see to it but nothing happened. I reported it again on the second day but with the same result so gave up after that. Liverpool itself is great.

We had such an amazing stay from start to finish! Firstly I wouldn’t normally stay in hotel in Liverpool living here - but I was gifted for my birthday a stay over night with breakfast. I stayed with my husband, we arrived just after 4:30pm and check in was a delight - the gentleman assisting was so polite and helpful check in took all of minutes with some friendly discussion. We went to our room which was on the 6th floor- it was a decent size, king size bed which was extremely comfortable. there was coffee and tea making facilities along with a coffee machine, the coffee was delicious ! there was an iron and ironing board and a clothes rail with plenty of hangers. the bathroom and shower were perfect for our stay and the hotel was literally sandwiched between lime street station and a wetherspoons. Lovely treat and unexpected was that the hotel was over the road from the Liverpool Christmas markets ! finally breakfast was perfect with plenty of hot options, cereal fruit and toast. I would 100% stay here again - thank you Radisson Red

If you are looking to fall out of a bar for a stag or hen do then back to hotel then this is a bit of a walk from Concert square or the Baltic triangle. Room was massive double with a sofa. Walk in shower. No bath. Fine for our stay but if you like a soak after a day of walking around the city either sight seeing or shopping then a room with a bath may be available on request but I don't know. The breakfast is brilliant. Lots of cereal to choose from, porridge, scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, sausages (vegan ones available on request), fruit, yoghurt, muffins, croissants fruit juice and make your own teas and coffee

Lovely stay, very attentive to requests such as fixing the moving bed. Overlooking the ferris wheel was quite a nice touch. Also close to Albert Dock and accessible to city centre. Breakfast was decent. Staff were polite and let us store our luggage with no extra charge. Definitely recommended

I prepaid the hotel room online, and received the check-in voucher. However, when I checked in, the Hotel could not find my booking record for half an hour. I then contacted Trip.com, and Trip.com immediately helped me contacting the hotel and the issue was resolved immediately. I selected Hilton City Centre because of its Brand and location. It is next to the Albert dock and next to the transport and shopping. It’s approx 15 mins walk from the the Liverpool Lime Station. I stayed for one night but unfortunately there was no hot water for shower/bath. When I called the room services they said they are busy and requested me to speak with the front desk. When called front desk, I was just told the hotel was investigating the problem. There was no call back by the hotel before I checked out. Very disappointed with this Hilton Liverpool City Centre. Yea

I had to book in at short notice due to a member of the family receiving palliative care in the cancer unit of the hospital, that is situated within 5 minutes walk. I drove up from Devon arriving at about midnight and stopped near the front doors of the Novotel. The gentleman on reception saw me arrive and came and opened the doors for me and then booked me in. He was friendly and efficient and during the course of our conversation enquired if I was on holiday, so I explained why I was there. He was so sympathetic and offered his help and that of his colleagues if there was anything they could do- including extending the stay or checkout times, directions to the hospital and nearby car park. My room was clean and tidy and the restaurant food was excellent as were all the staff. The following day, 3 other family members booked in and it made such a difference being so close to the hospital, able to spend valuable extra time with dad until he passed away. We had some things to complete at the hospital and then with the registrar, and true to their word the staff arranged for an extended checkout time, that took the pressure off us. We are so grateful for all the kindness we received from the staff and gladly recommend this hotel/staff to anyone going to Liverpool.

We picked this hotel primarily for its location as it's in the city centre and very close to my daughters university accommodation. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything except a fridge and any staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet so we had a few good nights sleep. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food but the location is in the heart of the city and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. I also liked that there was a little desk beside the reception with extra milk, teabags etc so you could grab some extra if you needed them throughout the day.

My husband and I stayed at 42 Castle Street in September 2022 and liked it so much that we booked with Castle Collection again. This time (May 2023 ) we stayed in 25 Castle Street (flat 12) and it was so grotty that we had to go out and buy cleaning products from Tesco’s (they only supply dishwashing liquid). It was actually an adventure of discovery. There was dried up vomit on the lounge suite, (nice and crunchy) the bed head and wall to the left of it had some liquid drip stuff on it ( came off with disinfectant wipes), the walls were filthy, (more liquid drips, so I can only assume that a lot of drinking/ puking must have taken place. The skirting boards had stains and black grime, ( sadly, they defeated me and my myriad of cleaning products) the cushions had liquid/vomit stains and the carpet was so gross I didn’t want to imagine what had gone on in the past. As for the view… well, the windows had bird crap all over them from the derelict building next door, which has more than its share of pigeons and their nests. If you leave any window open to let fresh air in, (it’s stuffy) the pigeons try to get in. They do tend to be somewhat noisy, but ear plugs fixed that. You get the odd seagull crapping, too, but I guess they decided that there’s no need to try and clean the windows, as there’s nothing to see anyway. I realise that that the building and birds are not Castle Collection’s fault, but they’re advertising ‘luxury apartments‘ and to be honest, this apartment made me feel uncomfortable and because it was so grotty, I avoided it as much as possible, and I was there for eight nights! Anyway, I managed to clean the vomit off the lounge and the drips off the bed head and wall, but the living room wall and skirting boards defeated me as they were too ingrained. Okay, it was straight after Eurovision, but really? I am a frequent visitor to Liverpool, as am originally from Liverpool and live in Australia, and I thought the Castle Collection was a great place - umm, no. So disheartening. Anyway, the positives - great location and communication regarding access etc was really efficient and friendly. Really easy access. Number 42 Castle St has a lift, but number 25 doesn’t. Car park nearby with discount rates.
