Hotel Rimi International (800 m Away from Ujjayanta Palace)

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at Hotel Rimi International. Unfortunately, I encountered significant issues that marred what should have been a pleasant stay. Upon arrival, I was denied check-in due to my local ID, which I found quite surprising and unprofessional. This was the first time I have faced such a policy, and I felt that the staff handled the situation very poorly. Additionally, I booked my room through the Goibibo site and have not received any refund despite the circumstances surrounding my check-in being denied. The lack of accountability and customer service in this regard is disappointing. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter, as it has left me frustrated and dissatisfied. Good Stay. The room was good. Polite People.

PROS: Nice staff. REVIEW: Stayed Apr-2024 for 2 nights in Executive rooms 206 and 207 (co-traveller in 2nd room) with breakfast. Room had separate key-card and electrics-card. Hotel appeared to have business visitors staying. Despite the few negatives the staff and room were nice, even had a working safe. NEGATIVES Took a shower in the evening of check-in however the bathroom smelt of sewerage. Next morning we went to breakfast however the power in the street went off and we were stuck in their only lift between floors. Emergency alarm and phone in the lift did not work and soon switched off. After 5 minutes we forced the lift-doors open and climbed up to reach the floor and exit the lift. Breakfast was with candles. Power returned over 45 minutes later. Key-card required resetting on 2nd day in the afternoon, however reception took a long time re-programming it.
