Generally we have enjoyed our stay! Wonderful location, view, many available amenities, deco of the hotel, family atmosphere, friendly staff and food -especially buffet. But the first cold night the heating, that we paid for, was out of service air condition and central. The people that were available to talk to at night in the reception weren't able to help. The next morning they manage to send a technician- that we demanded -and the problem was fixed but nobody came us to discuss any payback to us in any way as it was a lost paid service. Plus, despite that I have booked a room for two adults and two kids, 9-year-old and less than two years,they told me that they could not see that at their system. They said that, they will arrange it. Finally they charged us without any prior notice, despite I have paid online our stay.

The hotel is in a nice area in the mountains but it is well past its prime. Parts of the hotel are literally crumbling and the interior is very old and dated. Our room was very dated and the bathroom even more so with a shower that gave out a trickle of water. It seems very little has been spent on maintenance and the hotel is well overdue a major revamp. The breakfast was ok but all the food was cold, including the items that should have been hot like bacon and fried eggs etc. it seems things were just left out and allowed to get cold. We were there in May and the outdoor pool was empty. I was told it only opens later in the year, every other hotel in Cyprus has had their pools open for a while and it is already hot. All in all it seems like a hotel struggling to keep things going. On the positive side our room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The price was cheap. I would not stay again despite the positives.

The Troodos Mountains and the villages in them are among the most beautiful parts of Cyprus. Unfortunately many of these villages are losing their populations as the younger people flock to the cities or go to Greece. The one exception is Kalopanagiotis and the primary reason is the Casale Panayiotis. The owner is a local boy made good who returned to Kalopanagiotis with a determination to save his village. He purchased a number of older buildings in the village and totally upgraded them. He put in a funicular specifically so hotel guests could get to the heart of the village where the hotel is located. Add in some restaurants, bars, swimming pool and spa and you've got a place to stay unlike any other in Cyprus. The views are stupendous and there are many local attractions within walking distance. What really impressed is how modern the interiors are without destroying their architectural integrity. There are also many types of rooms spead over a wide part of the old village centre. The food and wine are exceptional and in line with the quality of this place. Cyprus has many great beach resorts, but for something completely different and relaxing the Casal Panayiotis has them beat in my opinion.

After booking reading the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive . Checked in today, 12th July 2024 . Checkin was straightforward, very welcoming and friendly reception staff . Room 4th floor executive room nicely decorated with separate area over looking the views of the mountains and forest . Big bed very comfortable with fan as no air con hairdryer and fridge and safe . Bathroom fair size shower very good pressure. Had evening meal in hotel restaurant big portions price was good value . Upto now can't fault the hotel beyond what I expected has a really nice feel about it would stay again for sure . All I can say reviews it has more the negative one's they must want the ritz or others on that line .

This place has a long history and already existed in the 1950s. Given that you shouldn't expect a completely renovated new hotel yet a cute little place to rest after hour hikes. The rooms are clean and some have a balcony overlooking the beautiful valley and the olympus. The staff speaks English and was very friendly. The hotel is clean and the All you can eat breakfast for 6,50€ per person is best to enjoy on the terrace outside. The rooms don't have air conditioning but a little fan so it'll get hot in summer. Would totally stay there again!
