Ulasan Toyoko Inn Tokyo Akigawa-Eki Kita-Guchi

I booked this hotel for two nights for a self-drive trip because it advertised 'free parking'. Then they told me I had to pay for parking, which was a bit annoying but I thought, 'Oh well, it's just once, I won't let it ruin my trip.' But then, after parking on the first day (Day 1/2) and having a great time, I came back to the hotel on Day 2/2 after sightseeing, and the staff told me: 'We don't have a spot for you, you'll have to find another parking lot!' I was thinking, 'What? I'm staying for two nights, and I even mentioned needing parking for both nights in my reservation remarks!' As travelers, we want a convenient and enjoyable trip. Instead, I had to walk around looking for parking, worry about not finding a spot, and I spent half an hour driving around the vicinity looking for a parking lot, and then another hour waiting for a space! It was completely inconvenient, ruined half of my trip, and wasted so much time communicating with hotel staff and endlessly searching for parking. If it wasn't for the 'free parking' claim, I wouldn't have chosen this place. The worst part is they didn't even reserve a parking spot for both days! ☹️ I never expected to stay two nights but only have parking for one. 🤦🏿♂️ So, I guess I wasn't supposed to drive on the other night!?

The hotel is right next to the train station; so it’s pretty convenient. There’s a Family Mart opposite; and a supermarket nearby! The room was clean and bed was comfortable! My room can spot Mt Fuji!

Twin room was mind blowing as it’s split into two by the toilet so we each have a rather private section of the room to ourselves. Other than that it’s clean and well equipped. Near to station as I remembered

The breakfast was yummy. I loved it. The location is great if you're coming back from Yamanashi or Shizuoka in the evening, but want to have a single room without paying above your price in downtown Tokyo

The front desk staff were also polite and helpful. The private rooms were clean and had a ReFa hair dryer, which I was impressed by the consideration given to women.

I stayed here during the fireworks festival. It's close to the station and has good access. Hotels have become more expensive than they were in the past, which is a bit of a challenge for me personally. All the amenities were provided, so I didn't have any inconveniences.

It's great in all aspects, it would be even better if there was a communal kitchen.

There were not enough pillows and towels prepared for the number of guests, so I asked for more. However, they didn't even provide cups for gargling, and I felt embarrassed to ask again, so we decided to share them among the other guests. Since it was the hotel I had booked, I ended up feeling bad, as if it was my fault. It was disappointing.

There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, as well as several ramen restaurants, so it was great. I'd like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

The bottom button on the rented nightgown was undone. The shower temperature was difficult to adjust, and just when I thought it was at the right temperature, it suddenly turned to cold water!
