Hotel Alcácer do Sal dengan Sarapan

What a wonderful relaxing space. A converted castle overlooking the river … cool as a cucumber inside. Tasteful rooms (we like the junior suite overlooking the river). Gentle and welcoming staff. Only complaint was that we were “between seasons” and there was no heat or air conditioning. Our room was like an oven when we arrived (hot and tired from a long day’s trip) and there were only five rooms occupied at the castle. they knew we were coming. I would have opened the doors in the two rooms to allow some air to circulate.

A small boutique hotel right in the middle of town with many rooms facing the river. Rooms are a tad small but it’s an awesome hotel. Check in was smooth, staff are very helpful and very good rates inclusive of a fairly widespread breakfast. Of course no raw vegetables in the breakfast but hot scrambled or fried eggs on demand. Very serene and quiet in the room and the plus point is the nice little balconies facing the river and the rural setting of the town. No restaurant in the hotel but plenty of restaurants within 2-6 mins of walk. Overall a lovely experience

The experience was very pleasant. We had our own parking place in a private underground parking lot, a small garden were to relax when the sun was too hot and a shared pool to enjoy a little swimming. Everything very clean and in line with the COVID-19 pandemic rules. Very thoughtful staff that was always available to solve our queries. The nights were very windy so you better take some warmer clothes if you plan on taking a walk at night. There was also some live music near by.

Apartamentos espaçosos e agradáveis, próximo de pequena marina, praia fantástica, parque infantil mostrado nas imagens inexistente, horário do único supermercado no resort reduzido, rede wifi fraca, poucas atividades para realizar ao redor, uma vez que é um resort poderiam dar acesso às atividades nas outras unidades como acesso às piscinas. A piscina interior continua encerrada desde a pandemia, na sua ausência deveria ser possível aceder a outra piscina do resort como acontece com o pequeno almoço. A praia é a maior vantagem já que é maravilhosa mas para poucos dias pois o complexo é muito pequeno. Bom para um fim de semana relaxante.

Excelente apartamento, por um preço bem razoável. O apartamento tem tudo o que é necessário para passar 5 ou 7 dias. Uma sala ampla com kitchenette, varanda com uma mesa e cadeiras com vista para a marina, televisão por cabo com uma excelente imagem duma TV LG de 55 polegadas OLED. Quarto excelente, cama bem espaçosa, colchão perfeito. Toda a casa tem ar condicionado e WI-FI. Por fim o carro fica estacionado numa espaçosa garagem subterrânea do prédio. Apenas chamo a atenção que a imagem que o sistema coloca destes apartamentos, não corresponde à realidade. O nome correto destes apartamentos é ”Troia Residence - Apartamentos Marina”, situado na rua da Aroeira, na rua da GNR.

Great place , room for improvement. Great location , the studio was great and clean, breakfast was very good. The experience on the Italian restaurant was terrible , our order was forgotten and they did not had the courage to say until confronted . Guests on other tables that arrived after us were served before and the staff couldn’t realize it until we called their attention.The food is average and although the staff is nice and kind they don’t seem to have the necessary training and experience . An area to pay attention and to improve is the smell and cleanness of the public bathrooms close to lobby .

The Editory by the Sea is in a great location on the eastern side at the top of the Troia peninsula. Very good service in the hotel, all the staff helpful. Our room was classed as an apartment, however it was really a big - ish bedroom with a sink and basic cooking facilities. But for what we wanted it was ideal, comfy bed, good shower, good WiFi, balcony with a great view overlooking the Sado estuary (on the east side of the hotel). Clean and well maintained. The food was very good, excellent breakfast, apart from the coffee from the flasks, I would recommend you ask for a coffee from the machine. We ate dinner here twice and it was very good. The location is about 200mtrs from the passenger ferry to Setubal, which is a fun thing to do for an evening in Setubal. Also walking distance from a really lovely beach. There is limited parking unless you choose to park underground at 9€ a day, we went in May and the only time we couldn't park in the car park was at the weekend. The troia mariner is again about 200mtrs, it has a few bars and restaurants, some of which hadn't as yet opened for the summer, good views out over the bay. Some of the other buildings in Troia are somewhat stark ie the conference centre and ****** so it is slightly unusual architecturally but otherwise a great location.

We came here, unplanned, as our nearby hotel claimed to have a/c but it was a centrally controlled system set to hot in mid May in Portugal! Our priority was thus effective a/c and comfort. These were abundant in this modern recently and expensively refurbished hotel in an old factory on the outskirts of town. The distance was only a few minutes by car, and was very quiet and peaceful. The only downside was a flight of 8 steps between the ground and lower ground floors to carry luggage down! We were helped by another guest on arrival with our cases. This lack of forethought seemed at odds with the rest of the thoughtful provision. The breakfast buffet was interesting and ample. There was an restaurant in a nearby enormous building and space, with good food and attentive service x and very few customers when we were there.
