There are a lot more positives than negatives about this hotel. I agree the lobby isn't very appealing and the hallway carpets look like they need changed. The room is functional. Bathroom is small. But the breakfast is excellent with lots of choice and wonderful staff that will make fresh omlettes or fried eggs. There is ample options for everyone. Staff are very friendly. The hotel is located right opposite the beach and has a root top pool with great views. It's only 20 minutes walk into Old town I consider myself quite fussy about hotels but would definitely consider staying here again.

Hotel in posizione da cui è facile raggiungere il centro città, quasi sul lungomare. Le camere sono essenzila ma pulite e spaziose, così come il bagno. La colazione è buona, con ampia scelta per quanto riguarda la parte dolce ma meno scelta nel salato. Unica pecca il parcheggio che, a causa della sua posizione, non è facile da trovare.

A nice hotel right in the centre of the old town, with the hotel appearing to occupy around 1/4 of the upper floors of the old building complex of the Church of San Francesco. The rooms are quite basic (no TV but not a problem) and small room, but the bed was comfortable and the room shutters allows for a very good nights sleep, and there was no noise from the pedestrian street outside. Breakfast was quite good for a small hotel (and for an Italian hotel which from my experience are normally quite simple). Special thanks to Frank for contacting me after Booking . yeah messed up a change to my reservation and cancelled all my rooms, but Frank helped me sort out the problem. An interesting hotel and well worth a stay if you want a hotel in the historic centre, rather than a beach resort hotel.

Abbiamo pernottato 4 notti e le uniche due note positive dell’hotel sono sulla posizione centrale e molto comoda e sul personale molto cortese. Dalle foto avevo aspettative molto alte che sono state pienamente deluse. Ci è stata assegnata una stanza con finestra che affacciava su un muro in più coperta dall’impalcatura che rendeva il tutto molto buio. Gli arredi lasciano molto desiderare in quanto datati e un odore sgradevole all’interno della stanza. Il secondo giorno abbiamo usufruito del servizio pulizia in stanza e non c’è stato rimpiazzato il bagnoschiuma. Per quello che abbiamo pagato mi aspettavo molto di più considerando che nel prezzo non era inclusa neanche la colazione.

A wonderful hotel with a beautiful sea view, access to the beach (best if you bring swimming shoes) & promenade, a very nice courtyard with flowers and a seating area to enjoy your mornings/evenings. A short walk to the old town and the most important sites. The restaurant is serving very delicious breakfast and dinner every day! All the staff are so attentive and did their u**ost to make our stay exceptional and unforgettable! The reception, restaurant and housekeeping teams all make you feel at home like family! Our stay at this exclusive, beautifully appointed historic hotel was wonderful. The location is amazing - just a short 10 minute walk along the waterfront to the old town of Alghero with stunning views across the mediterranean. We had a sea view room with a large balcony and although not huge, the room was elegantly decorated with beautiful pieces of furniture. The pool area is calm and peaceful with stunning views overlooking the sea. There is also private access down some steps to the sea if you fancy a dip. The hotel is very private with access from the road via secure gates only. It is within it's own grounds surrounded by beautiful private gardens where there are lots of areas to sit peacefully. Staff were very accomodating and extremely friendly. Service was excellent with high staff to guest ratio. Nothing too much trouble. On departure day a taxi was ordered for us and as we were leaving slightly before the official start time of breakfast, staff kindly arranged for us to have breakfast a little earlier which was very much appreciated. Silver service breakfast was wonderful and lots of choice. Overall a truly memorable stay and we will certainly be returning.

Posizione perfetta: - ottimale per scendere a fare una passeggita dopo una giornata di mare, a pochi passi dal centro storico di Alghero, nonchè dal lungomare; - comodissima per la vicinanza della fermata autobus urbani ed extraurbani per aeroporto e spiagge (capolinea antistante la villa).. si evita così il rischio di non poter salire su bus, che arrivano solitamente stracolmi alle fermete successive!; - supermercato Coop nelle immediate vicinanze, nonchè negozi di frutta e verdura, accessori vari ed in via XX Settembre la migliore pasticceria di Alghero, Pasticceria Tarragona, dove poter fare una colazione divina! Propietari Claudia e Franco seri, gentili, sempre pronti a rispondere alle chiamate e disponibilissimi a fornire indicazioni, nonchè stuoia/ombrellone per il mare. Consigliata!

Excellent value hotel. Reception staff always cheerful and helpful. Lovely pool and beach area with usually enough loungers. Great breakfast (including Barista for proper Italian coffees and croissants you can fill yourself) Nice 1 mile seafront walk to town or free shuttle bus at peak hours. Modern and comfortable room (USB charging points AND Netflix AND Chromecast for the 2 days of very bad weather we had! ) Plenty of free parking on the lower, seafront side of hotel (tip: just park on lower side of hotel and bring bags in through the entrance they have nectar to the pool. The main entrance on the road side of the hotel is pretty steep)

I booked this hotel for a one night stay in a June through **********. My husband and I were flying into Alghero in the evening and leaving the next morning for other sites in Sardinia. Our flight was delayed and I emailed the hotel from the airport telling them we would be arriving rather late, around 10:30. When we arrived, there was no one there. We rang the bell and no one answered we called the number posted on the door for assistance for over 40 minutes and nobody answered the phone. We had no choice but to leave and find another place to stay - luckily we did. I phoned ********** who spoke with the hotel - they would not refund our pre-paid money for our stay. This was terrible service in my mind both from the hotel, and from **********. I have the record in my phone of the phone calls, and photos showing I was at the hotel. Still they saw fit to charge me for a room I did not use, even when I gave them as much advance notice as I could about the late arrival. I travel a lot for work and personally and have honestly never had such a terrible experience. I will not be using ********** anymore and certainly can’t recommend this establishment.

Sorry, but not even close! It can be seen that a lot has been invested in the hotel, but the operating expenses are done sparingly. # Reception: + introduction tour by the receptionist; + decent Internet speed (46 MBps); + sufficient staff in all departments, friendly and professional; - an envelope for towels and restaurant cards would not cost that much. # Room: + superb sea view (no. 209), spacious balcony with comfortable chairs, clothesline and clothes hooks (!!!); + soundproofing and AC ok; + minimally equipped, in austere style; - please do something about the quality of the toilet paper and the cheap plastic cups from bathroom and room; - the very hard and uncomfortable mattress made sleeping quite difficult; - I didn't understand the purpose of the “couverture service”, with a knock on the tourists' door at 10:30 p.m. # Restaurant: - quite expensive (10€ a sandwich, 9€ a long drink); - live piano music - an excellent idea, but the pianist was more enthusiastic than skilled - pianist in the evening, waiter in the morning; - too many waiters with no apparent business with the customers. # Breakfast: + pastries, fruits and traditional food very, very good, coffee was ok; + exceptional bread; - the classic international menu without standing out, with only few hot dishes (probably due to local breakfast customs); - supermarket juices. # Pool: + with salt water, 20m long, infinity pool, sufficient sunbeds and umbrellas (more than 70 pcs.), clean and large towels; - a lot of noisy cicadas; + very well-kept exterior: lawns, alleys, plants, perfect order and cleanliness; congratulations to the gardeners; + free access to a small sandy beach (apparently arranged by the hotel), with a little deep water with sand on the bottom, nearby with an area with rocks for snorkeling; 7-8 m from the shore stones and algae but the lifeguard showed us where to enter the sea without problems. # Neighborhood: + easy to get to/from the airport (15-20min by car); + at 800m (15min by foot) from the hotel there is a small village - Fertilia with 4-5 restaurants with decent food, 2 gelateria, 1 supermarket (with everything), 1 post office, 1 ATM, all located in the center of the village/near the church and the bus station. + immediately nearby there is a running/cycling/walking track in a pine forest, nature reserve. # Entertainment: - The Sardinian Evening Party: avoid spending 150€ - the barbecue part was ok (especially the Pecorino cheese, cooked in fondue style) but after that the food was tasteless, zero atmosphere, without music and without socializing; + even if the excursions offer is limited in the area (from my perspective), it is very easy to get to Alghero (15 min by bus, 1.5€ paid to the driver, timetable in the bus station at the church in Fertilia); avoid taxis, which are a real scam: 35€ for the airport, for example; + in Alghero you will find m

MMarco OVery good and clean hotel with good breakfast and nice views. Outstanding staff, especially Marco was very helpful. The location is perfect to visit the old town of the city but still very easy to reach by car. 15 minutes to the airport but no plane noises.
