La Maison Bleue

Beautiful property with three star Michelin restaurant. Our room was lovely and the dinner was amazing- fabulous food beautifully presented, lovely staff and wonderful atmosphere. Each wooden table had a mountain relief in the middle, with a tiny mountaineer ascending the slope. Each dish was illustrated by a card set in a small, carved mountaineer on the table. (See photos).

the best bed in france? the best pillows in france? light and bright rooms. gorgeous meal and accommodating chef to our vegan needs (not easy in the land of butter and cream). located in the centre of an idyllic village. do eat here. do stay for the night. and wake to sunshine through a dreamy window.

Wonderful stay. My only regret is that I stayed for just one night. Small intimate guesthouse. The young lady who was in charge while I was there was fabulous. I arrived much later than planned and emailed in advance . The kitchen was closed but she had arranged a lovely salad to my room on arrival with their famous *****ni and a glass of red wine . Breakfast on the terrace was so fresh . The Village is stunning and the atmosphere unique. Before I left I had a coffee and a great Cigar, again on the terrace , watching the Village life in action. Will definitely be back. Very special place . Congratulations to the owner for the imagination to create this destination.

Really nice little B&B. Had some difficulties with our reservation and thought we might end up sleeping in the car!!! But it was all resolved in the end. Really comfy beds but could do with a proper shower/screen rather than just the hand held over the bath jobbie. Probably best in high season - as Ampus is tiny and 3 of the 4 restaurants were closed in April.

We tried to make a reservation….the man refused to speak even a little english…in my best french he also refused to understand so I gave up…like I was in paris. So arrogant! I am a big fan of mr kraft and was never expecting this attitude in his hotel/restaurant

We stayed two nights at La Maison Bleue. It was wonderful! Could not be happier with the hotel. The room, food, wine and cigars along with great conversation was superb! Monsieur Alexander Kraft has created a beautiful experience.

I have stayed a couple of nights at La Maison Bleue and have to say that it’s a truly wonderful and unique place. I was thrilled to finally visit it after having seen lots of pics online and expérience the village with a Provençal atmosphere straight out of a film. The rooms are very tasteful and extremely comfortable, every detail has been thought of. I can only recommended it to everybody !

We recommend the best "daube de sanglier" ever eaten. We enjoyed it so much that we even complimented the chef "Gilles" who is very nice and passionate in his art of cooking. We can't wait to go back to taste some more of Gille's specialities...

Incantevole albergo situato nel centro di Ampus. Questo alloggio con appena 4 camere è arredato in modo raffinato e accogliente. Il letto è semplicemente fantastico. Il ristorante dell’albergo offre degli ottimi piatti. Non mancate lo stinco a lenta cottura. Delizioso! Colazione alla francese con buonissimi croissant e pani a km zero. Tuttavia, il vero asset di questo posto è la Sig.ra Claire che con la sua simpatia, gentilezza, disponibilità e professionalità ti fa sentire bene accolto in modo spontaneo. Lei vi indicherà ottimi posti in zona dove mangiare e passeggiare. La nota negativa, decisamente, è l’assenza del box doccia o qualcosa di simile. La vasca è molto scomoda e il getto d’acqua fastidioso. Alla fine della doccia tutte le pareti sono bagnate. Va migliorato. Altrimenti non abbiamo altro da reclamare, anzi.
