Picturesque hotel and our room overlooking the canal was spacious. There was a slight problem with the cooling but the staff did everything they could to make it right. Lovely garden in back, elevator, breakfast available. We were able to walk everywhere from here.

I had a terrible experience with this hotel. Too old and dirty, the carpet in the room was in a poor condition, the bathroom got moldy, they charge super expensive. I paid more than $600 and when I left there (it was the last hotel of my trip) I began to feel itchy all over my body and in my country a day later I went to the doctor and they told me that I had suffered a bedbug attack. I requested a refund for my two-night stay and the hotel did not want to be responsible. I attached the photos so that you guys are careful about taking this hotel that does not have a cleaning protocol and is not responsible for what happened to me

I had booked my night's stay at this hotel through ******* about a week before and thought I had accommodation sorted. Unfortunately my Eurostar train from London was delayed by several hours and I did not arrive at the hotel until 9.45pm, having walked the mile from Central Station with heavy luggage. On arrival, however, the receptionist informed me they had no knowledge of my booking, and that, in any case, all the rooms were taken. I showed the proof of my ******* reservation but she was not interested, and very reluctant even to check on her computer. It seemed obvious that they had given my reservation to someone else. It was no fun at all, at 68 years old, to find myself in a strange city quite late on one of the busiest nights of the year with no place to stay. I carried my heavy luggage all the way back to Cenral Station , calling in every hotel I passed to see if they had room, but they were all full. The battery on my phone had gone. At 11.30pm it seemed I would have to spend the night on the station. Fortunately, I decided to try one more hotel nearby and thankfully this time was successful in getting a room, though I had to pay well over the odds for it. The lesson from my experience for fellow travellers - do not automatically assume your reservation will be honoured!

As soon as we arrived they gave us the key to the room. When I opened the door I found myself in front of a very small room for three people. There was a "double" bed made up of two split mattresses and a chair bed. They were so close that you couldn't even get through, furthermore there was a bad smell, you couldn't open the windows and you couldn't breathe, so we were forced to turn on two fans in the room and the first night we couldn't sleep properly. due to the noise caused by the fans and the road below. The bathroom was also very small and couldn't fit more than one person in it at a time. As if that wasn't enough, the shower door didn't close properly and there wasn't even a hanger to hang the bathrobe on. We went to the reception to ask if they could give us a bigger room, because that wasn't a triple and we had paid so much for a room for three people. Only after two days were we given a room corresponding to what we had booked a month before. Nothing to say about the breakfast and the location was overall good.

Our room was infested . Accused us of bringing them there. Telling me they will send me $100 refund only if I take down my post . Do not stay there. They didn’t care and only moved us to another room after a few days . I recommend that no one stay at this hotel. I still have marks all over my body from the bites spent a lot of money and time going to laundry service and washing our clothes many times

An old hotel but with charm and good location in a more peaceful district. I would specially emphasise the staffs friendliness. I had a room overlooking the canal, and a clean small bathroom. Small breakfast buffet in the reception area, but with a nice backyard.

We choose this hotel without reading any review, and what a great surprise. We were 2 adults and 2 teens, and we booked the house garden. Very nice rooms, with coffee/tea apparatus, and a table in the garden, we spend some time there with a bootle of wine, wonderful feeling in the middle of town. 3 mn walk from Rembrandt square. Great breakfast and very nice people at the reception.

The room had very old carpets with stains all over, dirty curtains and a dirty couch, and the heater was falling off the wall. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. The esspresso machine looked as though it has never had a wash. The towels were old and ragged - the kind of towels I would reserve for washing my dogs with. And this was the "superior room". Dread to think what the standard room would be like.
