Hotel 2 Bintang di Amsterdam

Front door staff are so friendly and welcoming. Place is safe and bunk beds are not too bad to sleep on at all. Shared bathroom was quite clean and the soap and shampoo they offer along with the breakfast and free towels storage etc was just a cherry on top. Also very close to everything, from the centraal station, some museums and experiences. Some good food places bit further down the road too. I'll definitely be back!

We had a really lovely experience at de bedstee which exceeded our expectations. The capsule was much more spacious than we expected (I’m around 5 ft 5 and could kneel) and the air conditioning kept it nice and cool. The double bed was very comfortable with multiple plug sockets and adjustable LED lights and there was enough space on a shelving unit to keep your bags and shoes in - the capsule is obviously lockable so keeps your belongings safe. The wifi was excellent. Also came with dressing gowns and towels for the communal bathrooms. The bathroom was very clean and well equipped with soap, shower gel shampoo and hairdryers. We had a stressful journey with our flight being cancelled and then rebooked with multiple delays, and the staff were very accommodating to this and let us check in very late at night with no additional cost. The only thing is that we were on the top ‘bunk’ which made it a little tricky to climb up the ladder into the capsule but this was not a deal breaker. Location was good, 20-30 min walk into the centre of amsterdam. Would definitely stay here again!!

The biggest advantage of this hostel is the close location to Railway Station Centraal. You just use the fairy (free of charge) over the river and walk 5 minutes. The public facility in the hostel is another big advantage. Many tables, sofas, and electricity plugs to work. The buffet breakfast has a large choice of food. The rooms have station double beds. The rooms are small and no good to work. This should be done in the public area.

Small, freezing, smelly room. High prices, bad quality. I travel a lot, but it's the worst hotel I've seen in my life. Petite chambre glaciale et malodorante. Prix ​​élevés, mauvaise qualité. Je voyage beaucoup, mais c'est le pire hôtel que j'ai vu de ma vie. Habitación pequeña, helada y maloliente. Precios altos, mala calidad. Viajo mucho, pero es el peor hotel que he visto en mi vida. Stanza piccola, gelida, puzzolente. Prezzi alti, qualità pessima. Viaggio molto, ma è il peggior albergo che ho visto nella mia vita.

Ottima posizione per muoversi anche a piedi per Amsterdam. Inoltre vista sul canale con chiesa Westerkerk! Colazione niente di speciale (cornetti con marmellate o pane con formaggi + caffè o succo d'arancia). Arredo vecchio stile , ma carino. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo, lo consiglio :)

For staff and service this is 5 stars, a small hotel that cares about guests. 24 hour desk which made us feel safe with our family. Also for cleanliness I'd give 5 stars, clean sheets and towels plus toiletries, our room had a modern shower with hairdryer too. If you want a budget hotel with basic facilities that is close to all the tourist sites and easy for the airport this is perfect. Do not expect anything fancy - but if you want simple, clean, efficient and convenient then this is for you. Our teenage children can confirm that the wifi works very well too! Our room was on the top floor with great views.

This review is a bit divided in the sense that the hotel is very central to pretty well all you want to see. But it is not for those who have mobility problems as the first thing you are faced with before even seeing reception is a very steep flight of 15 or so steps which you have to get your suitcase up with! However reception staff are extremely helpful and kind and could not have done too much for us The building is a real Amsterdam tall house and as a result is a warren of rooms and corridors and steep flights of stairs. Most rooms do not have ensuite. It is slightly shabby and the decor is a bit old fashioned but it all seemed clean Breakfast was ok but not amazing However the warmth and kindness of the staff did so much to make our stay enjoyable

The service was very good, nice personnel at the front desk, the room was cleaned every day and so on. Very good location near the city center and therefore I can kinda understand the price of the room etc My room was on the 3rd floor, the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor, not really a big deal but a bit weird. Don't get me wrong, the room itself felt clean and fresh, nothing to complain about there besides that the shower pressure was insanly low, sometimes the water just stopped running at all during a shower... But the big issue is the size of the room itself and what you get for over a €100 a night, I booked a single room for one person, and the room feels like it's built around the frame of the bed, the room is incredible small, smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in and the most expensive one as well. The bathroom is so small that the toilet is placed just behind the sink so you barely have room to actually sit on the toilet, and the glass door to the shower can only be opened on one side... the side where the sink is so you have about 30cm of room to get out of the shower because the sink is in the way... Like I said, the room felt clean and fresh, but it is ridiculously small. Overall a good stay, the room was good enough for sleeping in but for the size of the room and what you pay for it doesn't really add up, over a €100 a night for a room barely bigger than the bed itself is kinda weird.

Stayed here for 3 nights and never again. I never struggle to sleep and I hardly slept at all because the bed was so uncomfortable. The double bed is 2 single beds pushed together that are not secured with a zip or metal bolt so when there is 2 of you in the bed they separate apart with very little movement, even just turning over in bed. They attempted to put a mattress topper on but didn’t fit the bed at all. Room isn’t particularly clean either. Coffee machine was out of order the whole time we stayed too, and the room doesn’t come with a kettle either. When we checked in (2 of us) we requested 2 key cards for the room as we had separate plans one of the nights, and were told that they didn’t have enough cards and to try later. I kept the key card and my boyfriend arrived back at the hotel later than me and requested a key card at the desk and they still didn’t have an extra card - their suggestion was to prop the door open with a shoe! We went with 2 friends who stayed further out just near the Amstel station and the transport links were excellent so all I would say is, the bonus of this hotel is that the location is ideal but as someone said below, next time we would look at booking somewhere further out as all of the transport options are very flexible. Rated 2 out of 5, with the bonus point only gained because of the location.

Sehr sauberes, Zentral gelegenes Hotel. Leider, wie bei jedem anderen Hotel im Zentrum von Amsterdam, ohne Parkplatz. Ansonsten Rundum Zufrieden stellend
