We used to stay here frequently 10+ years ago. This week we had business in Redding and opted to stay here. We are sorry we did. We stayed in room 103. When we arrived the refrigerator was unplugged, so with some effort I pulled the entire cabinet away from the wall to plug it back in. There were nasty stains on the filthy fabric headboard over the bed (picture posted). Two light bulbs were completely out (picture posted if a light out in the bathroom - it was dark). A third lamp had a broken housing for the lightbulb and it dangled from a loose wire. The toilet ran continuously. The bathroom fan would not vent, leading me to leave the bathroom door open while showering. The shower curtain was covered in mold (picture posted) The pond that used to be pristine with two beautiful swans is now a green cesspool. No swans. I was surprised while standing outside the room to have a large garbage filled bag drop from the second floor to within two feet of me. It was a housekeeper cleaning upstairs who didn’t bother to check if people were below before dropping garbage. As posted previously, they only provide two flimsy bath towels. I walked to the front office yo procure a couple more. They didn’t have them and required us to edit an hour for the maintenance guy to bring them. Believe me. We used to love this place. I’ve recommended the Gaia to friends traveling through Northern California. Now, I’m embarrassed I did. This hotel has gone down the poop. The management and staff are not taking care of it or the customers. We will not stay here again. Find better accommodations!

Beautiful, clean room! Comfortable bed. Had problems with the handicap shower but decided we just might not know how to use it. Though we didn’t have a wheelchair, I noticed that there was plenty of room for one. Would definitely recommend this stay!

We had a great time staying the night here, after a long day driving. We left Washington at 4am on the day of our arrival and we were tired! The hotel was perfect for our needs, close the the highway and very comfortable. We played in the pool for a few hours after a great pizza at Westside pizza! It was a perfect stopping point for us!

Chose this location due to the best ratings on trip advisor. It's adjacent to a park with the Sundial Bridge, which was fun to walk to after dinner. The hotel itself seemed well cared for and comfortable. I felt the room was quite clean, though we notice a 'missed' french fry under one of the beds. Overall was a good experience since we were just travelling through Redding. Will also comment that the person at the front desk seemed to be training someone; she seemed to scoot that trainee away and help us herself, but she did not have very good customer service skills for what I would expect in this level of hotel. Did not volunteer any information, did not ask us how we were, seemed only to want to do the minimum and be done with us.

We 3 adults and 2 large dogs arrived tired and hungry, and we greeted with efficiency and kindness. Tiffany at the front-desk made us feel like we were checking into her own business. We were accidentally checked into a room that hadn't been yet serviced, she was horrified. We switched quickly and efficiently. Later that night, she comped me some M&Ms from the little store. Nice experience.

Check in and check out was fast and efficient. Jordan, Katelin and Jacqueline were three outstanding employees at the front desk that answered all our questions. They were very personal and courteous. Had breakfast in the restaurant and the food and service was spot on. Great variety of items to choose from. Server, Cathy, was very efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and quiet. All in all, it was a great experience. The next time we are in Redding, California. Looking forward to staying there again.
