I stayed in this hotel as part of a tour to Andorra, in total there were about 50 people staying here. The hotel is rated as 4 star - which it may be by US standards, but not by European - it is three star. Positives: the hotel is conveniently situated in the capital of Andorra; the hotel entrance is spacious and very clean; my room had a balcony and the bed was larger than king size; the food in the restaurant was a buffet style for breakfast and dinner - and was plentiful; a bottle of red wine was on every table for dinner. Certainly for my holiday, there was a 'free' drinks approach in the bar (wine, gin, vodka to name just a few). The room was cleaned daily - and there was a lovely smell of cedar and sandalwood in the hotel. I also liked having the balcony - because I prefer to always have a window open throughout the night, and many hotels either don't have windows that may be opened or you have to use the air conditioning (which this hotel probably has but I didn't need to use it). Negatives: the hotel knew that the coach of 50 people would be arriving - but there was no help with the luggage; it states very clearly that the sheets on the bed would be changed after two days - that did not happen. There was a refrigerator in the room with a list of drinks (and possibly prices) on the door of the refrigerator - but it was empty; there were no coffee making facilities in the room. The shower sometimes went from hot to cold back to hot - presumably when another room was either switching on their own showers or switching them off. The food in the restaurant was plentiful - at times it was quite cold (such as the cauliflower) - and it may have been useful to label some of the food - the soup looked for three days - but apparently it was different (one day it was vegetable and another day fish). The restaurant could easily seat 100 people, yet there was only one coffee machine which was a very, very slow one - even though the amount of coffee in each cup was no more than about 100ml. Overall, I was happy with my stay - I know that on the last morning, the restaurant opened almost 25 minutes late - apparently the 'chef' had overslept - which I did not accept (even if that were true, there was no reason why the hotel guests could not have entered the restaurant to have the cold food eg cheeses, meats, bread, cereals. Indeed when it did open, the staff were still putting out some of the cold foods. Due to the late opening, our departure from Andorra was delayed by some time (I appreciate that at least 20 minutes of this was simply due to the passengers deliberately taking their time and not caring that they were causing a delay - whilst at the same time critising the hotel).
