The second time I went to Anji, I was going to Baicui Yaoliang, but I saw this designer hotel, and the comments of netizens were still online. I arrived in the early morning in the heavy rain on Friday. The minimalist design of the hotel itself is beautiful, but from my personal experience, it is beautiful, but there is really nothing to see in the hotel. On the contrary, the Xiaoyin Half-Day Village opposite is more petty bourgeoisie. It is very interesting to walk around. The place to complain is breakfast: On Saturday, I ordered a meal, and I ordered Chinese. There were too few varieties and I didn’t eat enough. On Sunday, it was a buffet, and there was nothing, which was very disappointing. Afternoon tea was given, and when I came up, it didn’t look good, and it didn’t taste good. I didn’t even want to eat it. Disappointed 😔 Except for the good service attitude of the butler, I don’t know what is good about this hotel. The 1999 package feels like it was spent on the room fee, and I didn’t experience any added value. I think I won’t stay here again.

Travelers beware! The photos advertising Ke Gamer do not resemble to actual room and the food is horrible. I opted to upgrade to the private hot spring villa for close to 4000rmb a night expecting a high class experience but was instead highly disappointed! We arrived on a Saturday and reserved a table at the restaurant, famished from traveling and expecting a wonderful meal. They did not mention that this was a set menu (only for the package that was included with the room) so there was no option to select my dishes nor to explain our gluten free diet. First bread came (couldn’t eat it, gluten) then a mushroom chicken soup that was difficult to swallow. Over salted and the chicken was rubbery. Then came there version of a kimchi that was ok. Shrimp next that was battered (gluten) and smothered in mayonnaise, and then an over salted spicy beef dish and inedible veggies dish.At this point we decided to leave and opted instead to pay for food delivery. When we shared this information with the assistant helping us he messaged me saying you are a foreigner would you prefer chicken wings or a steak. I’ve been living in China 10 years and never spoken to so rudely. My gf then wanted to have a soak in the hot spring and have a fire because the rain had stopped but she was told no they could not do this for us that night. That’s when I added the wechat and she deleted him so she would no longer have to talk to someone so rude. We did find it strange that even though I was now in communication with him he still attempted to friend my gf several times, very disrespectful!! After I explained how unsatisfactory the service was to that point he made more of an effort and we did get to enjoy a relaxing evening outside. The next day we stayed away from the restaurant not wanting to have that experience again so ordered delivery service again, decent food for delivery. We did attempt the on site restaurant one more time before checking out for breakfast and this was awful as well. Cold eggs, bacon and sausage. They did have a nice assortment of breads which we could not eat (gluten) so we had a yogurt container and coffee before leaving. One part of the stay was an assistant driving us into town to a nice tea shop. He took us tot he location and offered to help us select a shop. He was very friendly and helpful inside the shop to explain the differences in teas and get us a good deal. We ended up purchasing 2 boxes of tea to take home. Overall I did not enjoy the stay at this overpriced and falsely advertised hotel. This is certainly one case when we did not get what we paid for. Wishing you better luck than we had.
