"When you enter this hotel, you are greeted pleasantly by the large and welcoming reception area. However, as you walk through the corridors, the atmosphere changes; they are cold and stripped of decoration, giving them a somewhat sober appearance. The rooms are spacious and have large windows offering views of the gardens, which is a big plus. The pool area is another positive; it is very quiet and in excellent condition, ideal for relaxing. As for breakfast, although it is extensive and varied with a good curries on offer, there is one small drawback: the buffet is located in the hotel corridor. This means that you have to constantly leave the restaurant to access the breakfast options, which can be somewhat inconvenient. Lastly, it is worth mentioning that there are not many options in the surrounding area. There is a lake where you can walk around, but if you are looking for restaurants or nightlife, you will have to travel to the city, which is quite far away. In summary, the hotel has a lot of potential thanks to its excellent entrance and comfortable rooms, but could improve in terms of the decoration of the hallways and the convenience of breakfast."

The room is quite big, but the facilities are old. The refrigerator doesn't work, and the air conditioner is noisy. The biggest problem is that there is no quilt, only a bed sheet. It's hot when the air conditioner is not turned on, but cold when it is turned on! Although there are not many varieties of dinner by the pool, the taste is good, with freshly fried pasta. The breakfast is relatively simple.

The sheets were as dirty as rags and the room facilities were old. I only stayed for one night and it was okay.

The hotel is located in Anuradhapura, with beautiful pagoda ruins visible across a large lake. The environment of the hotel is quite beautiful, and the swimming pool is also very good. The supply of buffet breakfast is not stable. We stayed for 4 nights in a row. Breakfast was buffet breakfast on two days and set meal on two days. The explanation given by the hotel was that the buffet breakfast was not open because the tour bus had left and there were too few people. Anyway, it’s quite interesting to have a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Picture 1 is the set breakfast we had (the portions were huge), and Pictures 2 and 3 are the buffet breakfast.

The pool dinner is very nice, and the waiters are also very friendly The hotel is by the lake, there is a large lake when you go out, very quiet

It's a great vacation we spent with our family and brother in laws family came from Australia for a vacation. We recommend to anybody who visits Anuradhapura to visit this place. You will enjoy as we do. Definitely come Back agand Higly recommended

I have visited few hotels in Anuradhapura and this is the best hotel that I can recommend. Delicious food with authentic Sri Lankan flavours and food were really nice. Rooms are good and clean. Room services acted really quick for the requests. Really appreciate the friendly staff and service. Calm and quiet environment is so relaxing. Spa prices as also fair. Hope to visit again and can highly recommend this friendly place. Thank you team keep it up the good work.

Yesterday We celebrated our Big day at the Heritage Hotel Anuradhapura it was a lovely Day.The service was excellent and the staff help us to so much .We really enjoyed our day .The food was very yummy .And the room was very clean. Highly recommended this Hotel.

Located in the heart of the city Anuradhapura and with the magical view of Lake Thisa staying at Heritage hotel was truly a memorable and a magical experience. Occupied with friendly staff and incredible comfy rooms and food Heritage hotel is highly recommended for a relaxing vacation.

Located infront of the scenaric Thisa wewa, Heritage hotel is one of the most gorgeous hotels we've stayed. Recruited with friendly staff, the rooms were really comfortable and the food were fabulous. Highly recommended and looking forward for another magical stay.

The hotel is on Tissa wewa bank. About 10-15min drive to Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanwelli Maha Seya. So a really convenient location. We booked a family room. The two beds can comfortably sleep four adults. Had a good sleep, four pillows for each bed. All staff were friendly and helpful from the check-in. Food was tasty, Morning breakfast had a good spread, and attentive staff in the dinning hall. In room dining has a comprehensive ala-carte menu, food was brought in 20mins or less and was tasty with good portion sizes. A good-sized pool, including baby pool. Kids loved it! Was told the hotel was closed for 3 years and felt it was built with all the luxuries in mind at the time. Kid-friendly place and spacious verandahs/hallways. Enjoyed the stay! Recommend and would stay again when visiting.

We had another wonderful stay at Heritage Hotel Anuradhapura, our 4th visit. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and the food is always delicious. The ambiance is peaceful and relaxing. However, updating the room carpets and improving the SPA room facilities would enhance the overall experience. We look forward to seeing these upgrades on our next visit to this lovely hotel!
