I have to go far in the past to find an experience as bad as the one we had in this hotel. Let’s go straight to the good points: the resort is well-maintained and the rooms have been recently renovated. The pool looks new and is quite big. The staff at the beach as well as the beach restaurant is nice and careful. The breakfast offer is ok with quite a good choice. The bad points now: Though the breakfast place is nice, it is soon overcrowded and you have the impression to be at the school canteen. Don’t wait to be placed as you might end up with the worst place while many careless customers would go directly to take a seat where they are pleased. The beach is probably the least nice of this area with unclear water and can be smelly. Though you are in a 4 stars here you won’t get anything in the fridge. Not even water. And for coffee, you will have to do the old-fashioned style one: there is no coffee machine but a kettle. This lack of care matches with the behaviour many waiters have at the breakfast restaurant where you will not get much consideration. Well, it’s a resort and not a hotel. So I suppose it is something you can expect. And I have to confess I don’t like resorts. Yet, I could have cope with all that, I think. It’s difficult to find an accommodation by the sea in this area of Sardinia and, unfortunately, the hotel La Bitta where we used to go was full and we picked up this resort as it was the same hotel group. What a bad idea! In fact the worst thing for us was concerning the room. Let me explain: we had bought a sea view Deluxe room. We arrived late on the first night as our plane was delayed. We ended up in a ground-floor room with a perfect view on…the beach restaurant. With, every day, everybody going pass your « terrasse » to go to the swimming-pool. And even though we had asked for a change right the next morning, guess what: nobody cared! No doubt here: we have been in many countries all over the world and in many different styles of hotels but this Saraceno resort deserves the highest price for the carelessness of his reception deck towards customers. They did not even try to find a solution. While many Italian customers came and obtained a change of rooms (I do speak Italian as well so I could understand what was going on). I let you have a look at the view from our room so that you can judge of the incredible view we had and everybody I think will understand that, at this price (which no different from the room they advertise on their website) , this is not acceptable or even honest. We asked fo a discount at the end of our stay as the room was not as described, the reception manager (a lady who behaves like she is the owner of the hotel. Maybe the case?) laughed at us. Never been treated like that anywhere. Thus, even though I don’t like to leave a bad review, here I can’t but advice you to avoid this resort.
