Dear Solverde Wellness and Spa Hotel Team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service and experience I received during my recent stay at your hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was stellar, super professional, and demonstrated great ethics. I want to especially commend a key member of your team, Bruno, for promptly identifying that I had overpaid by £30 during check-in. I was impressed to find a missed call and a note under my door just a few hours later, letting me know that Bruno had identified the mistake and wanted to return the excess payment. This level of honesty and integrity truly speaks to the attitude and values of your leaders and professional staff, and I believe they have great careers ahead of them. Beyond the exceptional service, the SPA was a great experience that exceeded my expectations. The room was large and welcoming, and the bed mattress was as comfortable as clouds. The breakfast was delicious and complete, and even at checkout, the staff was sensational. I want to thank you all for making my stay so memorable, and I will definitely return and choose Solverde Wellness and Spa Hotel for my future stays. Keep up the excellent work! We stayed at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis for 7 nights. The hotel was modern and clean, staff were very helpful. The room was cleaned daily and products restocked. The location was perfect for us as situated close to motorway. We had a hire car for the week so the hotel car park was great for us. Burger King was next door so handy if wanted a quick coffee day or night. The hotel does have a bar. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, alongside a full continental selection. I recommend this hotel, we would certainly stay there again.

I may as well start my review with the only negative I could find. This was the smoking area directly outside the hotel entrance. So as soon as you open the door to go in cigarette smoke also went in. And now the good parts without a doubt, the hotels, biggest attribute are the staff. Our week started with a very warm welcome reception from a young man who was very polite and very helpful. Unfortunately, I have forgotten his name. But I guess that doesn’t really matter as it is a recurring theme during our entire stay . One young man who needs a special mention who works behind the bar, told me he was only 20 years of age, which I didn’t believe as he is one of the most honest, trustworthy and sincerest of persons I have the fortune to meet. It just goes to show that not all young people have attitude . Now I have to say that everybody who works behind the bar was fantastic and polite. so on behalf of my wife and I would like to thank you all. But Andre Martins you are a superstar from my heart you deserve a pat on the back and a promotion. One day my friend I’m sure you will be manager. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The management should be very proud. The room was fantastic overlooking the river was clean and tidy with plenty of room. On occasions we ate at the hotel and every time wife was running out of wine someone came to pour some from her bottle. Her exact words were she felt like a princess it was nice that staff mad us both feel very special. The food was very nice and we both would recommend. In due course we shall return to the hotel as it was well situated. Thank you to all an absolutely fantastic start to our tour of Portugal.

This hotel was as near to perfect as it gets for us. We stayed as a family of four in a Sea View Suite on the first floor. The 2 rooms were very comfortable. Large double bed for adults and fold out sofa bed for the children. The bed was so comfortable. The block out shutters helped us get a great night’s sleep each night. There is a spotless clean pool with about 20 beds surrounding it. It tended to get busy later in the afternoon as people checked in but we never had trouble finding somewhere to lie. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice. We still had plenty to choose from after 5 mornings. The staff was brilliant. Especially the restaurant and cleaning staff. They were so considerate and kind. The WiFi worked well and the TV had lots of channel choice. It is a decent walk to Espinho town centre.but well worth the effort. There is a Continente supermarket and a McDonalds a short walk away. The boardwalk is about 500m away as is the beach. We plan to stay here again next Summer

Great hotel. Has everything going for it. Breakfast good choice. Room good size . All amenities. House staff lovely and helpful. Restaurant excellent, worthwhile booking to ensure a seat. Spa and indoor pool very relaxing.

El hotel está ubicado a unos 20 minutos de Oporto. Bien comunicado con bus casi a la puerta y perfectamente si vas en coche. La limpieza es extraordinaria, tanto en las habitaciones como en el resto de estancias. La lencería (toallas y ropa de cama) de muy buena calidad. Estupendo tener aire acondicionado en la habitación. Todo el personal muy amable en todo momento y dando solución a nuestras consultas siempre con una sonrisa (pisos, recepción, buffet) El desayuno correcto. Un gran detalle hacer un guiño a la gastronomía portuguesa ofreciendo pasteles de nata. El parking cerrado y gratuito también es un plus a valorar. Me gustaría felicitar por la gestión del establecimiento y a todo el personal que lo hace posible. Se nota todo el trabajo que hay detrás para que los clientes nos sintamos así de bien. ¡Enhorabuena, equipazo!

Ficamos num excelente apartamento de 2 quartos no Gaia Residence que é conjugado ao hotel Hollyday Inn. O apartamento é completo com camas para 4, uma pequena cozinha, sala de estar e uma pequena mesa para refeições. Tudo é perfeito até a hora do excelente café da manhã, bastante completo, porém servido no mesmo ambiente para os dois hotéis. Aí ocorrem os problemas de superlotação. Uma guerra!!!

Une semaine à l’hôtel La Fontaine, et très satisfaits de notre séjour. Grand parking devant l’hôtel, accueil très chaleureux, personnel très sympathique, à l’écoute et très disponible. Chambres confortables, très propres, petit déjeuner copieux, l’hôtel est doté de tous les équipements nécessaires pour passer de très belles vacances. Je recommande vivement

Do not be put off by the reviews for this hotel. Our experience was really good and with a little planning this could be the ideal hotel for your Porto stay. The hotel is a solid 5* and I spend a lot of times in good hotels. The bar area down stairs is comfortable and a nice place for a pre or post dinner drink. The cheapest decent wine we came across during our stay at Porto was here @ less than 4€ a glass! The executive room we stayed in was immaculate, large and with a very comfy bed. The views from the 12th floor were wonderful overlooking the river. There are two swimming pools and whilst the one on the roof was too chilly for a dip during the day at night it made for a very chilled area to drink. The other pool is above the gym on the 1st floor and it’s nice that there are dressing gowns in the bedroom so you can just go down from your room without having to walk across reception. The restaurant offers a buffet and a La carte. Neither were anything special and we only ate here once. The breakfast was much better with loads of choice and decent scrambled eggs! One of the best things was how cheap Uber are in Porto. You need them as there is nothing around the hotel and it’s not safe to be walking around at night here. 5€ To Porto, 7€ to Mastohinos and around 20€ to the airport makes travelling to places quick and cheap. Days out: If after a few days in central Porto and Gaia you are looking for other lovely places to go I would highly recommend going to these places: Mastohinos - 7€ in Uber and only 15 minutes from the hotelfor beautiful beaches, a lovely park and some of the best seafood restaurants in Portugal. Guimaraes: 7.5€ return on train from Sao Bento railway station. A beautiful medieval town with beautiful cheap dining, castles, palaces a cable car and more churches than you can imagine. If you do go here PLEASE try the pregos at Pregaria de Guimaraes. They are truly amazing and outshone for me anything I tried in Porto.
