Just returned from a week’s stay at the Thalassa hotel. Myself, my partner , sister and brother in law. Nice, clean and comfortable hotel, a little disappointed with the room allocation. I emailed the hotel in plenty of time before our stay to request adjacent rooms and high floors, when the reception finally replied I was told that rooms were allocated upon arrival and my request could not be guaranteed. Upon arrival we were allocated a ground floor room and my sister a 1st floor room in totally separate blocks. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, clean towels and bed linen every day. The maid did a fantastic job. Rooms were quite modern but however they were quite badly lit and the shower screen was quite dangerous, you could quite easily walk into the glass as there was no markings on it to warn you. The restaurant was very nice, good food nicely presented, however a little on the expensive side. Greg and his team did a fantastic job and nothing was too much trouble. Good choice of food at breakfast, nicely presented and waitresses/waiters all very helpful and friendly. Special mention to Silvana and Lauretta, both were lovely, very friendly and enjoyed a chat with you every morning. Pool area was nice but needs a few more umbrellas, pool towels were placed on the beds each day. Overall, a nice hotel and will probably visit again.

We had a lovely week at the Liberatos Village, it was brilliant to find a great deal at such a lovely apartment in the school summer holidays. Apartments were lovely and clean, all seemed to have a great view. We had a lovely sea view from ours. Rooms are spacious, we stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the lounge for my daughter. They also supplied a travel cot for my youngest daughter on request which was perfect. When we arrived there was no hairdryer in the room, I mentioned it to the lovely lady at reception and within a few minutes I had a great one in the room to use, not your usual low power travel ones. All the staff we spoke to were so polite, kind and happy to help at anytime. The pool area was kept lovely, always clean and the sunbeds were great with comfy cushions on. Pool towels available from reception was also a lovely touch. Pool was never overcrowded or noisy and there was always space for everyone during the day. There was also a lovely bar area with seats, we didn't really use the bar or have the breakfast so can't comment but food coming out looked lovely. A lot of people comment on the hill up to the apartments. This is a fairly steep hill and is probably a 10/15 min walk up and down. A lot of people took taxis however we walked up and down at least once a day with no trouble and a 6 year old. It is steep and hot in the heat but unless you have mobility issues it shouldn't be a concern. The views from the apartments and tranquil setting definitely make up for this. All restaurants and bars are along the road at the bottom of the hill with a large supermarket close by. All restaurants are great quality with amazing food so you can't go wrong wherever you go. Highly recommend the Aqua Marina for happy hour 6-9pm great cocktails and lovely atmosphere. All in all Kefalonia is beautiful, Lassi especially and we would definitely visit the Liberatos Village again :).

Extraordinary black hotel. We arrived late and were greeted by an exuberant receptionist. Quite frankly we were tired and wanted a quick drink. She showed us maps of the island and extolled the island. The corridors are dark. The blinds are pulled across the windows making the pool area unseeable, why? The pool is very small and the pool rooms face each other. When we went, the sun didn’t really hit the pool. Our room was lovely, nice bed, balcony. The balconies are odd, they are slatted so you lack privacy, plus we had rain and it came through the slats. The design of the hotel felt like being in Kim Kardashian’s house. Big shout out to Angeline who served breakfast. A la carte eggs was a nice touch and always superbly cooked. The hotel can call you a cab and book sun beds. We used Costa Costa beach, taxi 8e sun beds 35e, adds up but the beach and beds are worth the cost. You can use other hotel pools, we used LoGos cocktail bar pool, no charge for beds. You can get the ferry to Lixouri for 6e return. We had windy weather and sadly didn’t take a boat trip. The bedroom has a lighting system that takes getting use to, we struggled to work out how. To keep some lights on and others off. Daily water is provided in room. There is no beach in Argostli, but you can get a taxi or bus to beaches. Eat in restaurants that you check reviews first as there are some fantastic and less so.
