This is not your typical chain box hotel. The rooms are large. The sculpture in front is beautiful

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Artesia. This is a unique property located right in the downtown shopping/dining area. The rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds. Staff was extremely helpful, friendly and quick to respond. We had intended to stay in Carlsbad and didn't realize until later that we we booked a hotel in Artesia. I must say, we were very impressed with the town and the many dining options right down the block. The Wellhead BrewPub was quite good for both local brews and a solid meal. We didn't try the pizza place adjacent to the hotel but it was packed with customers. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Artesia again.

The hotel building is unique and attractive. The surroundings are not worth writing home about, but there was adequate parking.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Artesia! I was surprised how large the rooms are. It was quiet and clean. There could be better lighting, especially in the bathroom, but thats my only critique. The location was eprfect for me, only an hour drive to Carlsbad and 2 hours to White Sands. The town is quaint with lots of history and art.

Great hotel in the Heart of Artesia. Rooms are huge compared to todays standards. Bed was super comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Best ice machine ever. Loved the beds and rooms. Staff was amazing. Only gripe is there is a giant oil refinery RIGHT across the street and it smells like death constantly in the entire area. This is not the hotels fault but it still kinda ******

We checked in late due to travel. Service was fast and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable
.The only negative was the channel changer did not control the volume, only changed the channels. There was no volume control on the TV itself. Seems like it wasn't programed appropriately. Room 220
