My wife and I booked for an overnight and were not disappointed. The charming historic house is located in Ashburnham well away from the hustle and bustle of central Massachusetts where we live. The house is located on a huge property that was fun to explore, but only has three rooms so you feel like you have the whole place to yourself. The couple who managed the property were helpful but not intrusive. Breakfast was also fantastic! I would like to go back during warmer weather to explore the lake more. Hopefully they have the availability :)

What a lovely stay, we arrived late and it was so nice to be greeted with a warm smile. The room was so clean and comfortable, we had a great sleep. The biggest surprise was the view out the window when we woke up! It's BEAUTIFUL!!!! Breakfast was amazing. Will definitely return!

My husband and I so enjoyed our night spent at the Maguire House Bed and Breakfast. It is set in the most gorgeous location, looking out upon a large Massachusetts lake with islands and pine trees lining the distant shore. The grounds are impeccable. Inside this 18th century house, the decor is charming and relaxing. Everything is in tip top shape from comfy furniture to the gleaming hardwood floors. The comfort of our room, the Wisteria Room, was perfect. The bed and linens ****** us right in and gave us a good long sleep. I loved the tub which I filled to the brim with hot water laced with lavender bath salts. The breakfast! Yummy bacon and eggs for Ian and a breakfast burrito for me. I loved the fact that I could go down to the dining room before breakfast and fix a coffee for me and a tea for my husband. Sweet treats like cookies, drinks, chocolates and other nibbles were set out and available. Our hostess was delightful and fun to talk with. We felt right at home and hope to return.

Fantastic stay at the Maguire House. Everything was above and beyond comfortable. Stunning views from every room. Beautiful decorated and very clean. Delicious breakfast. Great location. Hosts Paul and Terry go the extra mile! I will definitely be back.

A magnificent find! Our family has lived in the Ashburnham/Gardner/Fitchburg area for many years and not known about this gem. We stayed for 6 days and enjoyed this beautiful venue on Lower Naukeg lake with a picturesque view of Mt Monadnock. Rooms are perfectly curated with all the charm and character of old New England. I can't even begin to describe the elegance of the breakfasts that were served - and the home made recipes were very special. It's about an hour's drive from Manchester or Boston and well worth the drive through well maintained country roads. The property owners made us feel so welcomed - like friends. We will certainly go back again.

Both the grounds and the entire house are beautifully appointed with lovely details. Terry creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Bed linens are lovely and the little treats in the room are a nice touch. Especially relaxing was the soft music in the background of the main floor reading room. Her breakfasts are both generous and outstanding! Thank you Terry!

What a beautiful experience: the home and grounds are stunning and spacious, the room perfectly appointed, lovely and thoughtful toiletries in the spotless bathroom. Beautiful food, graciously served at breakfast. A super friendly innkeeper, Terry, who engaged with enthusiasm. Could not recommend The Maguire House Bed and Breakfast too highly.

Located in a picturesque setting by a lake this hidden gem offers serenity, comfort, and attentive hosts, making it the perfect escape. The inn’s ambiance exudes a sense of coziness that instantly put us at ease – a tranquil haven. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by the most warm and friendly host. She instantly made us feel at home. The genuine hospitality and attention set the tone for our stay. We received personalized attention and she ensured our stay was seamless and memorable. Cleanliness is of utmost importance and our room was spotless and tastefully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night’s sleep after a long day of travel. The inn also boasted a delightful breakfast and evening snacks that were specially prepared by our host. The inn's commitment to ensuring a memorable stay was evident in every aspect.
