Hotel is exactly what it says on the tin. Small room but cozy enough. Bathroom quite comfortable. Though it’s more of a wet room. So bring shower slippers. Bar downstairs decent. Close to a fun retail park. Staff were friendly. I was able to access check in early. That was a relief!

Ideal for 1 night business trip. Nice room and good service

Great location, eating places on the doorstep, not a very warm welcome on arrival, nice room very clean, spacious bathroom with good powerful shower, bed very comfortable, breakfast poor, water was warm, no continental cheese or meat options, no fresh fruit, poor pastry selection, hot options not great

Lives up to its name!

Room had perfect hanging space for work clothes as I was worried they would get creased. There seemed to be an event on when I was there, possibly a circus act due to a massive clown walking around. Breakfast involved beans which is always a winner Carpets were kept clean...

Your flexibility and willingness to go above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of was greatly appreciated. The event wouldn't have been such a success without your help. You were such a huge part in making our Wedding Reception a success. A special mention must go to Erin & Heather for organising it all, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us, we can’t praise her and all the team enough. Everything was perfect and we could not have chosen a better place nor more wonderful people!

Bar and food service. Millie is on form and provided us with great service and always kept our drinks topped up. Really switched on and aware of customer needs. Millie created a really friendly and sociable environment for us. Excellent service Thank you.

The staff were fantastic, especially Millie, she was very engaging, did a fantastic job dealing with customers and ensured that our drinks were refilled when needed, she’s a credit to your company and should be commended.she was very engaging and kept us entertained.

I have been here a couple of times before, and this time I came here with my dad as we were having time away for my birthday and I was rather amazed by the hospitality. My dad mentioned that it was my birthday, and the staff made a great gesture of welcome as I got into my room to find that they had put birthday decorations and balloons about, and they even wrote me a birthday card and gave me some free Starbucks sweet treats. Whilst that was the story of the stay, further credit can be given thanks to good bar service and in the morning, the breakfast buffet had decent options and tasted really nice. I would definitely recommend!

Absolutely disgusted at the staff at village gym ashton including the so called manager Paz who hasnt even got the decency to call me back as regards my complaint even a month on. I purchased some wowcher tickets online which clearly mentioned that each voucher contained 4 passes which give access to the gym and Spa so i purchased 4 wowchers for my husband and children. When i came to use the wowcher the male at the reception happily let us through and we went ahead to use the swimming pool. A week later when we went again the receptionist was very rude when we showed her the wowcher she said this isnt valid mentioning that each one can only be used every 90 days. And you cant just buy 4 wowchers for each person. This made no sense at all as when purchasing the wowcher and checking the terms and conditions it said it has to be used within 30 days. Also that each set of passes cannot be shared and has to be used per person. Hence why i purchased 4 for each family member. After showing her this she became very argumentative and said she will not let us gain access. I asked her to let me speak to a manager and she kept repeating ‘theyre going to say the same thing so whats the point’. So now i have no right to even speak to someone else. After i told her i wanted to speak to someone else she huffed off into the office with an angry demeanour and angrily told the team leader about the situation, she stayed in their for a few minutes sharing her story while huffing to make sure the other staff member doesnt let us in either.By the time he arrived i was quite upset as my children were still waiting to go inside. i told him the receptionist was being very unprofessional and rude and he was very unbothered. Not once did he ask me if i was okay instead he said well im only going to say what she said and also went onto say these wowchers are only for you to see if you like the gym or not so you can become a permanent member. No Sir that is not why they are made. The wowchers were clearly made for people to have 4 days of access to the gym or spa. Whether you like it or not or whether you want to make a permanent membership is not determined by these wowchers. Also the reason why your even letting the wowcher company list these deals is so you can make extra money from people like me. The team leader even went onto say that children are not even allowed when it clearly said on the terms and conditions that children can use the service aslong as they use the pool at the allocated time. All my words were ignored and i told the team leader to give my number urgently to the manager Paz. He told me paz would be in work the next day and so will give me a call. A few days later i still did not receive any phone call and so i called in for the team leader to answer the call i asked him why i havent had a call yet and he told me my number is still there and the manager will call as soon as. Now nearly a month has passed and Paz the manager did not bother calling m

First time staying in a Village hotel and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! We attended a 60th birthday here after booking a flash sale deal and had a great time. The hotel was super clean, staff were friendly and the leisure facilities better than most hotels. Great large bar area too that’s well designed. If I had to say one thing it’s maybe the breakfast offering could be improved - I few chains including this one seem to have switched from hash browns to sliced potatoes maybe to save money and I felt there could be a little more choice. Overall though, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The room was nice enough. Walls a little thin and the blind let light in in the morning. The staff at the checkin was lovely and chatty. However, the breakfast selection and quality was appealing for the extra price I'd paid whilst booking (13 pounds each). There weren't any hash browns but sliced potatos which were half boiled and looked lifeless and limp. The bacon was very greasy and sickly. When we got to breakfast there will still over half an hour left till breakfast closed and there were no pastries left and we asked but there were no more to be served. There was no selection in continental except a small plastic pot filled with some plain yoghurt and a pot of sunflower seeds. No maple syrup left in the bottle and no young staff noticed to fill it up. Only standard cheap sliced bread, no rolls or loafs. An appalling breakfast compared to other hotels I've stayed in lately for the same price or less.

First 4 star hotel that I have ever been in that doesn’t make your bed! Sorry but I’m on holiday and I expect this! Asked at reception but was told they don’t do this. Breakfast had poor choice of food, not hot on any of our 3 mornings, streaky bacon, no fresh fruit available, no fruit options at all, one type of yoghurt, one type of milk, no fried eggs available, later found out you could request them which I did on last morning but no signs up advising or anything else was an option. Nice hotel and ambience and I would possibly book again but come on Village hotels, even travel lodges and premier inn make beds and I would definitely not book the breakfast as not worth the money
