We had a very enjoyable weekend at this hotel. Yes it’s very outdated and could do with a good clean-up but the positives far outweigh the negatives. Location is beautiful .... nice and quiet with great walking routes right at the back of the hotel. Parking was fairly tight but we discovered an overspill carpark at the back where the shed is and where you can lock up your bikes for the night. The rooms themselves are typical Fletcher style ..... blue carpet with brown furniture but nice and spacious. Very comfy clean beds with coffee and tea making facilities. Nice small balcony to open the door and let some air in. Took a while to find a hairdryer and still wonder why they have it hanging and wired up under the television. No fridge in the room. The bath was very welcoming when you see how small the swimming pool is ..... however I did wonder how an elderly person could climb up into the bath to take a shower seeing there were no slip mats on the surface ..... lethal for an older person or somebody with a disability. Breakfast area very spacious with plenty of available tables and as for the breakfast itself, it was excellent. Anything you wanted was laid out and the cook behind the counter was constantly making up fresh eggs and bacon. Reception staff were constantly busy but very friendly and helpful. Overall really enjoyed it.

Ik had nog nooit gegeten in dit fraaie hotel, afgezien van een heerlijke lunch lang geleden. Het was 1 januari en probeer dan meer iets te vinden. Het familiehotel dus. Het was even zoeken in de grote zaal maar met enige hulp vonden we een gezellig gelegen tafeltje bij het raam. het kostte enige moeite de aandacht van de bediening te trekken maar het eten was prima. We aten een niet en een wel vegetarisch gerecht en beide waren prima. Ook de porties waren van voldoende omvang. De prijs viel evenmin tegen.

My daughter left a toy and only realised after we returned to our country. However, these nice people in the hotel (Hanneke, Eline, Laura, Naomi and Donya) were so nice and helped me arrange to have the toy sent back to me. They were so helpful throughout and even sent a nice present together with our item. On the night after checking in, I was waiting at the lobby and witnessed how a staff went out of her way to look for a pair of bedroom slippers for the guest. One sure way of ensuring guests stay again is good service. How many times have we read reviews of people saying they will not ever return due to the bad service they experienced? Well I am sure I definitely will stay here again. Thank you very much, wonderful ladies.

We stayed in this modern hotel mid February for 2 nights. The Front Office as well as the rooms are located on the higher floors of this modern building in an outside area of the city center of Groningen. Service was very friendly, food was pricey but outstanding and worth every Euro! Don't miss the delicious risotto! Despite being near the highway, rooms are perfect isolated and well appointed with all amenities you need for a weekend away. Don't be afraid to take a good walk to the center or make use of the public transport. Definitely recommend!!

Parking ondergronds dichtbij het hotel, vriendelijke ontvangst en uitleg over het ontbijt de volgende ochtend en hoe de bar werkt.
Dicht bij het stadcentrum gelegen waardoor je niet ver moet wandelen om lekker te kunnen gaan eten en drinken zonder de wagen te moeten nemen.
's avonds kan je gezellig nog aan de bar zitten en aan de open haard.
Slaapkamers zijn heel proper en netjes opgedekt.
Ontbijt is geen luxe hotel ontbijtbuffet maar ik denk niet dat je met honger van tafel gaat zelfs al ben je kieskeurig, ik heb slechter meegemaakt. Maar hun ontbijt is zeker verzorgt en vers.
Het uitchecken ging ook heel vlotjes en vriendelijk.
kortom een aanrader voor te verblijven.

Une belle chambre double, très spacieuse et propre. La salle de bain est grande et propre, aussi. Il y a un bon WiFi. Dans ala chambre il y a un nespresso et du café et du thé. La personnel est poli et très discret. Deux petits bémol : un bruit très fort pendant la nuit (qui venait des restaurants à proximité) et j'ai pas eu de l'eau chaude pour le douche, le matin...

PPengguna TetamuHorrible service. Unhelpful and quite frankly rude. I had emailed the hotel to say that we would be arriving after 11pm for check in. I received a polite reply that said, ” That is no problem”. I continued to keep the hotel informed va email once we left Amsterdam. They did not inform us that there was a fesival in thier town and that it would be difficult to get to the hotel. After driving around for an hour and asking several people, I phoned the Hotel directly. The man who I spoke too was the most unfriendly, unsympathetic and unhelpful person. He basically said that it would be impossible to get to the hotel and that he could not help us. When I pressed for more information, he suggested I park the car anywhere that I can find a place and walk to the hotel. When I asked how far away we were and how long it would take to to walk to the hotel, he laughed and said that it would take us all night. Very disappointing and disheartening when we had 2 rooms booked and paid 691 euros (345.50 euros per room; 1 comfort double and 1 comfort twin). We arrived approximately 15 minutes later (around 3am!). I explained that the service was terrible in getting there. They tried to blame it on all the drunk people at the festival when in fact, the service from the hotel was unsatisfactory. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good (at the restaurant across the street) but we were only there for a few hours. The service of the staff in the morning made up for the unacceptable, rude, unprofessional and unhelpful man from the night before. He should not be working in the tourism industry. Disappointingly, this was our first time staying at this hotel and it will be the last. Which is a shame as we like to support small, family run businesses. I do not recommend staying here during the weekend that we stayed in June. We were there for the MotoGP and will stay elsewhere next time. I suggest you do the same.

PPengguna TetamuWe chose to stay here whilst attending a wedding party with relatives. We had struggled to find a hotel in Groningen as there was a famous band playing and accommodation was either scarce or expensive. So although a little drive away, this hotel fitted the bill. There is free parking for guests and this is located around the hotel block. The reception staff were friendly and booking in was convenient and hassle free. The rooms are well presented and clean, with shower rooms and tea and coffee making facilities available. Within the complex there are a number of bars and restaurants as well as play areas and an arcade area. Although we never participated, there was entertainment and children’s activities on offer as well as swimming, bikes to hire, a spa and bowling. In our country we would call this a holiday camp rather than a hotel. The buffet breakfast was lovely and lots of outdoor seating available. We loved our stay here and although brief, we would consider coming back should we have a need to visit The Netherlands in the future. Thank you 🙏

PPengguna TetamuVery large hotel. Spacious room and bathroom with bath, separate shower and toiletries. Sliding door gives access to shared outdoor space (balcony). We had food in the bar and we really enjoyed it, reasonably priced. Pool table and dartboard in bar area but slightly tucked away. The pool and wellness facilities are free and really well maintained. Very clean and lots of choice: salt sauna, herb sauna, Finnish sauna, hamam, infrared sauna, foot baths and snow shower. Towels are provided and there are free lockers in the changing rooms. Changing rooms are not mixed. Enjoyed our stay.
