Ulasan Athens City Hotel

This is a very basic hotel where you can just sleep and shower and nothing else. It’s about 4km from syntagma square and centre. We didn’t use public transport and decided to walk around and use Uber which is quite reasonable. Athens as a city is one of the worse places I’ve visited. Nothing to see except the Acropolis. Will definitely not visit again.

The location is okay, about 20ish minutes from city center. But the hotel/rooms seem to be old with very tiny shower room, it was a bit uncomfortable to use.

The room was large and comfortable. The shower cubicle is large enough for a ten year old, or a VERY anorexic ramp model. No normal person can have any hope of washing properly in it. Breakfast was pathetic - no butter, only margarine, and the coffee was weaker than my granny. Small selection of food compared to all the other hotels we stayed in during our trip, including the 1- and 2-star hotels we visited. No hot food except for some boiled eggs. The neighbourhood seems a little sketchy. By far the worst hotel we stayed in during our three week trip across Greece, well below the standard of all the other hotels.

We stayed here for two nights and the reception staff were amazing from start to finish. They were very helpful my mother brought her mobility scooter and they allowed us to keep it near reception they also helped her figure out how to charge it. They also helped with information about thr local area if they didnt know they would find out for us. The cleaning staff were also very friendly. Breakfast was a basic continental but it was enough to start the day. Hotel is situated only 30 min walk from the archaeological museum. The rooms are quite basic but serviceable. We were disappointed that there was a bath but it didn't seem to work and the shower was a bit rubbish. We didn't sit on the balcony it wasn't very attractive but then we weren't there long. Beds were comfortable which is the main thing. It's a nice basic hotel in the heart of Athens.

If you are a person of color, DO NOT STAY HERE!! I visited last year and when I went downstairs for breakfast, I was verbally attacked by one of the front desk men (He had dark hair, not to be confused with the other front desk man with blonde hair because he was nice). I was the only African-American there and I'm the only one that received this treatment from him. He yelled at me asking what am I doing here, infront of a dining room full of guests and he demanded that I tell him my room number immediately, forcing me to tell a room full of strangers my room number which is a security risk. I did not get combative with him at all, and he followed me to the elevator to watch me go upstairs to make sure I wasn't lying.

Not in a very good location, room clean , water hot, breakfast forget it, no safe. would not use again or recommend . Can get local bus 5 or 11 to centre daily ticket 4.10 euros from kiosk . this hotel was booked by travel agent no choice given but suggest they go visit

This hotel is a slight step above a hostel. Not a very desirable neighborhood. No facilities. Shower rails hanging off walls or shower door missing. Breakfast wow this is what it is called. Supermarket 50yds down has takeaway section with good coffee so go there. One good thing was bed was comfortable and clean. This hotel and I use the word loosely is in urgent need of full refurb. Certainly wouldn’t recommend to any traveler.

Chambre et petit déjeuner correct. Personnels très gentils. Grand plus avec l'arrêt de bus (3, 5 et 11) juste à côté de l'hôtel et un café pour boire un vrai bon café car celui du petit déjeuner n'est pas vraiment du café !

L Hôtel est propre , le personnel sympathique, il y a une bonne literie,le rapport qualité prix parfait, comme déjà spécifié dans les autres avis le seul bémol c est à 20 mn a pied du métro et quand il fait chaud elles semblent longues ces minutes surtout au retour car ça monte , le petit dej est médiocre.

Hotel muy limpio, todo el personal muy amable y simpático. Negativo del hotel que el desayuno es muy escaso y de poca calidad, solo baje el primer día a desayunar los demás solo bajo mi marido. El barrio tranquilo, hay bares en la misma calle con buena comida. Trolebus 5 y 11 te dejan en la misma puerta del hotel.

Η τοποθεσία ήταν ένα από τα βασικά αρνητικά στο συγκεκριμένο ξενοδοχείο... Δεν έβλεπες Έλληνα στην περιοχή.. σαν γκέτο γεμάτο αλλοδαπούς Δεν υπάρχει χώρος στάθμευσης, το προσωπικό των ορόφων είναι θορυβώδες και είναι ένα παλιό ξενοδοχείο... Στα θετικά είναι η ησυχία στα δωμάτια που δεν είναι στην πλευρά του δρόμου, είναι καθαρό και αλλάζουν κάθε ημέρα τα σεντόνια και τις πετσέτες.. έχει καλό wifi, ζεστό νερό, ασανσέρ και tv.. προσφέρει ένα βασικό πρωινό και το προσωπικό στην υποδοχή είναι πρόθυμο και ευγενικό..

Alleen het bed en het personeel was goed. Hotel is gehorig, wij werden midden in de nacht wakker van andere gasten. Ook is het vergane glorie. Alles is oud en wat viezig. De douchekop kon niet meer opgehangen worden en de wc bril liet los. Ook was er geen douche gordijn. We hadden een balkon, maar uitzicht op een muur en een gat naar beneden (met niks). ‘s Nachts had ik het koud, kwam personeel wel een deken brengen. Verder gingen ze ook wat doen aan de herrie van de andere gasten. Er was verder ook geen gratis parkeergelegenheid, alleen aan straat of in een parkeergarage voor 8 euro per dag.
