The pool was closed for maintenance throughout our stay which we were not advised of before hand. I asked at the front desk who informed me that for the ”cold season” so from Nov - March the pool is closed. This was a shame as we were looking forward to using it for the view of the city as well as a nice swim. The whole of the rooftop is closed off so we could not even go up there to see the view. Our room itself was fairly average - the view was unremarkable as we were staying on the 3rd floor so we just had a view of other buildings and the hotel's outdoor restaurant. The mattress was hard and the pillows and duvet were lumpy. There was a good level of cleanliness and our maid was particularly lovely so we did tip her well. We had the breakfast at the hotel which was good. There is a variety of options including hot food like eggs, hash browns bacon etc but there was no good hot food options for vegetarians. There was also a variety of sweet breakfast items like pancakes, bakery etc. The fresh orange juice was a good touch and I would recommend it. The location itself is average - you can walk to the Acropolis, which is about 40 mins away or you can take an Uber which was about 5-7 euros. I would not recommend being out late by yourself around the hotel as it did not feel very safe - you are in a more subarby area which is run down. Overall, I did not believe that this was a 4 star hotel as I would say this is no more than 2 or 3 stars.
