We went here for afternoon tea, wow !!! It was a themed Bettrix Potter afternoon tea. We are going to go back in the future, the experience from arrival to leaving was just superb !! There really should be a higher star rating. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful places in Scotland xx

First class experience all round. We’ve just spent 3 days, 2 nights here and enjoyed every minute. The 4 of us all couldn’t speak highly enough of the trip. My partner and his brother played all 3 courses and were really impressed. My sister-in-law and I tried Axe throwing and clay pigeons shooting. The instructors for both were fantastic but Drew who took us clay pigeon shooting was exceptional! His knowledge, experience and relaxed manner really made it outstanding. We had a fantastic time & we’ll remember it forever. The staff across the hotel really made the stay exceptional. Stacey in the American Bar was the other outstanding member of staff for us. Her enthusiasm, knowledge and friendliness was impressive to all of us. She helped guide us to choose individual cocktails that suited us, they were all unique and delicious. We loved the little arcade of shops and bought a few bits each. The spa was really lovely but a few too many children for our liking. But we enjoyed the adults pool and the outdoor area. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and not stuffy, they catered for everything. We ate in the Birnam restaurant two evenings. The food was lovely but we weren’t blown away. The service was also extremely slow on the first night especially. On the night we were leaving we ate in The Dormy and the food was delicious! We expected The Birnam to be better but we’ll definitely eat at The Dormy again. We can’t wait to come back!

Imposing building where one easily gets lost. It took us 10 minutes to get to our room every time. It was large and accommodating. The outside is impeccably kept and a paradise for golf players. Varied choice of activities in amazing surroundings. All the staff is incredibly helpful. The food in the main restaurant was excellent. On the downside, however, the spectacle of those majestic golden Eagles and other birds of prey, with both feet shackled to short chains in small cages 23 1/2 hours a day or more, was an extremely disturbing site and hard to believe, that these animals are expected to spend 20 to 30 years and more, living in a small cage this way, to entertain a small number. This activity should be banned from the site and replaced with another feel good activity.

The best hotel we have ever been in, the room was perfect. The staff very obliging and always cheery. All meals we had were sublime and the Italian chap making my crepes suzette was totally unforgettable and charming. The grounds were definitely worth looking round as it is a beautiful place. The pool was perfect and really clean with attentive cheery staff. As it was my husband’s retirement the hotel had a bottle of champagne waiting for us which was a really nice unforgettable touch. Overall a fabulous stay!

A spectacular classic Scottish lodge with every detail raised to the highest order. The food - in particular The Strathearn breakfast! The drinks - beautiful old school bars! The golf! The activities -shooting! The grounds! And, of course the lodge itself - perfect on all counts. Not cheap but it was nice to live like English (Scottish) aristocracy for a few days. Can't wait to go back.

Outstanding. First time I’ve wanting to award a 6 out of 5! Staff are brilliant. Activities first class and make for a memorable stay. Rooms are so well appointed and the bed must be one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in. Grounds beautiful. Breakfast is amazing. I’m struggling to find any areas for improvement - maybe better control of the EV charging area where a number of cars were not charging and blocking bays. I did get a bay on final day off stay but having a policy of controlling those bays via concierge might ensure better availability. First class stay and will definitely return.

We loved our stay at Gleneagles, everything about made it memorable. Staff, food, room, spa and location was all excellent. The staff at hotel was just excellent and went out there to help and feel welcome the minute arrived onsite Food was just excellent and it best breakfast we have ever had Really enjoy our time in the spa and again just fantastic. What can say about location it just l was stunning.

A warm, homely and true country feel as soon as you enter… very grand with much charm and history. The rooms are spacious and make you feel as though you’ve escaped the outside world. Look out the window to the wild Scottish countryside. I don’t drink whiskey but if at any time in my life I did, Gleneagles would be the perfect spot to enjoy a dram. The bath salts are a great touch and coming out the boiling hot water I felt like I could have slept for a month. Food - I may ruffle a few feathers here but the truffle burger just didn’t hit the spot that I expected it to for the price…. Quite dry in all honesty but with a hefty price tag. The check in was also later than what was advised however we were duly compensated. Great service, great wine and a deep breathe of the Scottish air and you’ll know why I would certainly return.
