Hotel berhampiran Auckland Domain, Auckland

The location is unbeatable as it is across the international Terminal of Auckland Airport. I arrived after 2am but it seems that the lobby bar was still open. They definitely cater for those who arrive after midnight. The receptionist was very helpful and set an alarm for the morning. The room was clean and all the necessary amenities were there. The mattress was very comfortable for the good night rest. I had to leave early next morning and couldn't use the facilities like gym or pool, so I will definitely come back here to enjoy them next time.

Great Stay! Security was very helpful, even went to meet us at the parking lot to help carry our bags to the lobby. Parking garage entrance is quite squeezy so be mindful if you have a larger car. Got a high level room with nice views, but sadly some of it is blocked by the building under construction beside. Nonetheless, enjoyed our stay very much.

Came in late at night but well received and quickly got my needed rest

”I stayed at this motel recently, and I have to say, the location was absolutely amazing—the view from the room was outstanding. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. My only small critique is that the TV was a bit outdated and could definitely use an upgrade. Overall, though, it was a fantastic stay, and I’d still highly recommend it.”

We arrived at around 10:30am and requested an early check in, as we had a 5:00am flight the following morning. We fully understood that the standard 1500pm check in time applied and that any early check-in was subject to room availability. We therefore appreciated the hotel accommodating us with a room at 1230pm. Unfortunately, the room was not ready to the standard we expected. We found an empty bottle on the floor, and the glass door/window could not be locked properly. Although, we requested a room change, we were informed that none were available at the time and maintenance advised that the lock would require drilling and screwing to repair. What disappointed us most was not the need for the repair itself, but how the situation was handled. The communication from the maintenance staff came across as abrupt when we were asked whether we wanted the repair carried out or not. We also felt greater consideration could have been given to guests, as drilling may not be suitable for those with allergies, asthma or sensitivities to dust or noise. Holiday inn has always been a brand I associate with consistent international standards, particularly from my experiences in South-East Asia. While we appreciated the hotel's flexibility in offering an early check-in, we do not believe this should come at the expense of basic expectations such as cleanliness, security, and a room that is ready for occupancy. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident rather than a reflection of the hotel's usual standards. Many guests arrive after long journeys simply looking forward to a clean, secure and comfortable place to rest. A little more thoughtfulness in both room readiness and communication would make a meaningful difference to the overall guest experience.

Very nice hotel with good location and convenient free parking. However two requests to fix malfunctioning fridge failed to materialise in anything. Every morning just around 8am a cart would also roll around outside my room making a lot of noise and waking me up.

Location is very convenient and walkable, and staff was nice and accommodating. Parking costs an additional NZ$15 per night. The room windows had no screen so flies would come in, and the room bathroom emitted a strong toilet smell. No separate hair conditioner provided. Room has high ceilings, and there is a kitchen outside but also can heat water, microwave food, and toast bread inside the room. Good in-room beverage selection too.

Location was good, apartment was cleaned, you just need to provide your own soaps/shampoos and face wash towels.

Couldnt find a kettle to make cup of tea, the detail in the email of the bus stop location at the airport needs changing because its stop D not C for the yellow bus, the room had a weird chemical smell and was freezing but 2 little oil heaters that had seen better days were provided of which i kindve fixed by doing up the screws because hot heater sitting on carpet is fire risk (room 66). Service was excellent, bed was good, super cheap. Good for what I paid for, no complaints. You need a place to crash, this is fine. Dinner is decent. Shower is hot.
