The front desk is unstaffed after 10 PM, so you have to call them to check in. I had already informed Ctrip beforehand that I couldn't make calls in New Zealand and asked them to contact the hotel, but despite that, there was no one at the front desk when I arrived. A student staying there was kind enough to help me make the call. Leaving the hotel, there's quite a steep uphill slope, the kind where I absolutely couldn't manage with my luggage. It feels like moving things around while staying here would be incredibly strenuous. The value for money is just okay, I guess. It seems to be mostly students studying here who rent long-term. I imagine their rental rates are much cheaper.

Traveling with family, an apartment was more convenient. As long as your expectations aren't too high, Imperial Apartments definitely offer good value for money. It's actually student accommodation, so there are quite a few students around. It's near Queen Street, about a 20-minute walk, but it's uphill, which can be tiring. Downstairs, there's a home-style Chinese restaurant, a burger joint, and a small supermarket. The facilities are a bit old, and apparently, it's run by Chinese business people; all the front desk staff are Chinese, which made communication easy. Also, the mattress was soft, and the pillows were soft too, which I'm not really used to.

This studio apartment with cooking facilities was a great value and super clean. It's located right in the heart of Auckland, and you can easily get anywhere by public transport. I even cooked a few meals here over Christmas, which brought back memories of my time studying in the UK.

Clean with just the bare essentials, staying an extra night. Chinese food is very interesting and tasty and quick service. We are on the 19th floor, very quiet. Will come again if another appointment at Auckland hospital as it's very convenient.

Great location, walking distance to the pubs and restaurants. Just a few steps from a nearest bus stop. Staff are nice and friendly.

I had to extend my stay unexpectedly, but they handled it immediately. The room was great, especially for the price. I'd definitely recommend it to business travelers!

Great serviced apartment and value for money. Location a little bit further from the bustle, but close to public transport and Ubers are cheap if needed. the value for money is fantastic with perfect space for 6 people. Beds were comfortable but pillows were a bit flatter than what I am used to. shower had great pressure and temperature.

Thanks to the multilingual staff, I was able to check in smoothly in my first language. The room was clean and spacious, making for a very comfortable stay.
