Advertised as a b&b but it’s more special than that. Huge bedroom and marble lined bathroom, of course with a huge bath as well as shower! Walk in wardrobe, so lovely to empty out our cases. Separate airy and bright dining/lounge with delicious breakfast each morning, everything you would expect from a fresh continental breakfast. And then there’s the private garden with chairs and loungers, the lake and a swimming pool. Alison and Nick are excellent hosts.

Our second visit to Le Farat, this time we stayed in gite Maison de Soleil, on our previous visit we stayed in the luxury B&B. Maison de Soleil is a beautifully restored outbuilding that once housed carriages and a pigeonnier, it’s quite unique with all the home comforts you need. We were greeted with a fabulous welcome pack of local produce ie butter, bread, ham, cheese, tomatoes, homemade lemon drizzle cake (absolutely delicious) and a bottle of wine. What a great start to our holiday. Le Farat also has a wonderful swimming pool and games room. It’s situated in a fabulous location in the Tarn et Garonne with easy access to beautiful French villages, Auvillar being the top one a mere 10 minutes drive. The owners, Allison and Nick Feeley are so helpful with suggestions of places to visit plus they will book local restaurants for you. Really, what’s not to like. A stay at Le Farat is definitely 5 star.

We had a wonderful week at Le Farat in August. Nick and Allison were the most welcoming hosts, we truly felt like we were staying in a second home. The gite we stayed in was immaculate, well equipped and extremely spacious. Our children loved all the space, the games room and the wonderful pool. There is so much to do in the local area and we enjoyed a mix of day trips and days relaxing at the gite. We will definitely be returning to Le Farat as it truly was a perfect break.

We stayed in the Chambre d’hote at La Farat. The accommodation consisted of a dining/lounge room, a massive bedroom and a luxurious bathroom. We felt like we were staying in a 5* hotel. We also had our own private garden area and use of the pool. We were extremely comfortable.

We were luckily enough to spend two unforgettable days at Le Farat in May. The place is absolutely stunning. Lovely room, fantastic breakfast, relaxing pool area and not to forget the perfect hosts in Allison & Nick who helped us with all our questions. Highly recommended.
