很古樸、很有味道的一家酒店，跟大教堂斜對角，位置非常好，是以前的一個古堡改造而成的，酒店的大門不大，但內部非常寬敞，有兩個玻璃頂的餐飲大廳。房間也非常不錯古色古香的，設施配套都很完善。酒店的服務也很好，前台接待人員非常熱情，有問必答。總之這個酒店性價比很高，值得推薦。

We booked our accommodation some 10 months ago - so got our room booked at an exceptional price I'd become apprehensive reading about how poor the soundproofing of the rooms is/how uncomfortable the beds were, but that wasn't our experience at all! When we arrived I specifically asked to have a room which enjoyed the evening sun and we were delighted with the room that was appointed. It was spacious, very comfortable beds and an incredibly tranquil part of the hotel (room 169). We particularly enjoyed the internal courtyard of the Palacio where we enjoyed the Pinchos. Wish we'd known in the first instance just how cheap a glass of wine was (3 euros) in order to qualify for a free Pinchos!! All in all couldn't have imagined staying in better accommodation from which to explore Ávila.

The hotel fully deserves the plaudits it receives here. However, on 19th September last, there was a water supply problem in central Ávila which turned all the water a light brown colour. I appreciate that the hotel management had no control over this; however, since drinking water was affected, the least they could have done was a) to post an advisory notice in public areas and via the in-room television service and b) to provide bottles of mineral water. They did neither.

We spent a night there and had a terrible experience with the service of the restaurant. However the food was good, the main waiter demonstrated a particular inelegancy with the note. First tried to charge us a dessert supposed to be covered in the menu we ordered and then charge us unsolicited food that the waiters put us on our table. After 10 minutes of tense exchanges, he pretends that this way of doing is in the law of the country. After checking, this is of course an illegal practice that carries a name : Stealing the people Terribly disappointing to see a 4* hotel's restaurant trying to claw back few pennies over bread. Disgusting.

We had a very poor experience in Madrid and decided to travel to Avila by train for a few days. The experience was fabulous in every way. Carmen Alonso took our reservation, modified it and checked us in, she was enthusiastic and informative. The building was an actual palace within the walls of the city and the accommodation was wonderful. Large fully equipped bath, quiet and comfortable room (great linens). The housing staff rival anything in the world. The breakfast was without reproach, with attentive staff, and wonderful fresh ingredients kept presented as if new for every guest. The cafe and restaurant in the centre of the lobby are an experience in itself. The Maitre D, and his staff treat every table as a valued client. Travel to Avila and leave the big cities. This 3 day side trip made our visit to Spain. Pay to walk the parapets of the Castle, it is worth it.

Stayed here for 3 days lovely hotel staff very friendly room comfortable, breakfast very good could not find anything negative. Nice bar food reasonably priced central for sightseeing cathedral across the road well worth a visit, lots of bars and restaurants near

Palacio de los Velada is a converted palace with lots of historic charm. Centrally located in the main plaza right next to the cathedral, you can't get a better location. Walk out the door and you are right next to everything. Check-in was efficient, rooms are clean, and there are lots of old-style European details in the rooms and bathrooms. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I've had; you don't get tired of the choices. Fresh fruit, charcuterie, tortilla española, and churros supplement all kinds of traditional choices of pastries and other breakfast items.

It's location is very central. Very near the cathedral. Staff is nice. The building has its special charm. Room is very well decorated imitating the old days but with a modern twist. Parking on the hotel is very expensive. But there are no alternatives.(unless the car stays parked outside, on the roadside, on the parking meter, but, in that case the meter should be "fed" on a regular basis) In the morning , on the corridors cleaning maids do a lot of noise (at least they did when we stayed there). They're working, I know, but they should be a lot more attentive with the still lodged customers

The location of this hotel is perfect - right across from the cathedral and inside the walled city of Avila. Avila is small so everything is very conveniently located from this hotel. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great and definitely worthwhile. The rooms are very classic Spanish and a bit formal (somewhat dated). The only reason ( can't give 5 star rating was because the bed was extremely hard. Perhaps that is the desired style in Spain but for the US we prefer something a bit softer.
